I was actually worried when I got there (after check-in hours, and a no vacancy sign was showing), but another person staying there explained the procedure to enter my room as a late check-in. Small-ish, but well furnished and CLEAN. (And not bleach smell clean.) The bedroom was at the back of the unit, an extra blanket and pillow was provided. Bedroom was clean, bed was very comfortable and though we had bad weather the night I was there, I slept very soundly.

Extra door locks.

Had plenty of clean towels in the bathroom, linens on the beds smelled and looked clean and the mattresses were comfortable. Loved the convenience of the kitchenette although we didn’t use it really. Don’s drive in is just a short walk as well as hopscotch brick oven and taproom. The room was pet friendly which is hard to find. Overall a decent place to stay

The bathroom shower/tub was not freshly wiped out before our stay and had spider webs across it and there was a stain on a corner of one of the comforters. TVs could have been a bit bigger. Could use to have a nightstand on both sides of the bed as my husband didn’t have a place to put his phone next to the bed. Keyless entry would be a nice addition. Maybe a little updating is needed.

This is such an awesome little place! Super convenient both to downtown TC, as well as TC Equestrian Park. If you like having more than just a "room," our unit had two bedrooms plus a small living space with couch and TV. It also had a perfect little kitchenette! Our room had been freshly painted, was very clean, and had so many closets! It really felt like a comfy condo, not just a hotel room. All the staff I dealt with, including the manager of the property were outstanding!

The A/C units are very powerful. They couldn't quite produce a low, gentle level of air.

This place was amazing. Really great price and they were super nice! We had a horrible experience at an Airbnb and had to last minute find another place to stay. They accommodated us right away. We got a two bedroom suite. Everything was just as needed with a fridge three tvs and little couch. A perfect place to stay if you plan on not being there your entire vacation which is what our plans were. I will recommend and stay here in the future!

The bedroom upstairs had a large skylight which was super bright in the morning, woke us up before we’d planned , maybe having a shade would help but wouldn’t prevent us from returning, staying or recommending !

The hotel was very accommodating, allowing my boyfriend and I to bring our three dogs with us. Staying at a pet friendly hotel, you wouldn't expect it to be pristine. However, the Traverse Bay Inn was exceptionally clean, quiet, and comfortable. Bonus, there was a kitchen with pots, pans, and dinnerware available. For all of the accommodations, it was very cheap! We thoroughly enjoyed our stay!

This is not a huge deal, but the lobby closes at earlier times than some people may arrive. I am not complaining about this, because the staff needs to get home to their families, but I wish they would provide a little note in the conformation stating that if you're arriving later, that they will be leaving the key in a designated area. It worried me a bit when my card was charged, and I tried to call and there was no response. I assumed they thought I was not coming and charged a no-show fee. Thankfully that was not the case, they were just closed, but a little note in the confirmation email would keep folks from stressing!

The room was very clean and well furnished, more than I would have expected for a hotel honestly. It was a comfortable space to complete a painting I was working on and to rest as well. :) The kitchen was well supplied with helpful utensils such as plates, napkins, trash can, forks, spoons, etc...

The size of the bathtub was rather small, but I could still comfortably take a bath which I rather liked. The table was kinda small until I realized I could fold it out which provided me with enough space to get my work done. :) At first I thought there wasn't toilet paper, but my partner later found it above the toilet LMAO

It is a 2 story space, so we had lots of room for our group of 3. It's only 10 minutes from downtown, so it was nice to be close to restaurants and shopping. The staff was nice, it was clean, and super quiet. There is a Walgreens next door if you need anything.

The bathroom and shower are so, so tiny. The stairs were also super steep, and at the top of the stairs, there's an extra step up that's a tripping hazard and not really marked.

We stayed in one of the two-bedroom units for one night. The room was spotless, the kids loved the upstairs bedroom and claimed it right away. The air conditioning was working well, and we could adjust it easily. The kids also enjoyed the pool. There was no use for the kitchenette, but this would come in handy for a longer stay. The location was great and we could go right across the street for a beautiful view of the sunset over the bay. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. I would stay here again.

It surely served its purpose. We knew it was a little older and no frills, but that is reflected in the price. It is very clean. We weren’t in TC to hang out in the hotel. Beds were comfy.

Living room/lounge space is quite small, with very limited seating. If you need a place with a larger centralized gathering space outside of the bedrooms this isn’t it.

We like that it had two different rooms for the kids and us. Made it very convenient. Had AC in both rooms that also worked as a fan. The pool was warm, and the kids enjoyed it. The staff was friendly and the room was clean. We would definitely stay again.

Also had cups, silverware, bowls, plates, and everything else from pots and pans.
