On arrival we were upgraded to a bigger room. The room was lovely. We were also given two complimentary drinks, and told we could enjoy these in the Bar area. Breakfast was good, nothing more than expected. Hotel position was situated close to many sightseeing venues,and not too far from The lanes. On sight parking we paid £30 for 3 nights should have been £15 per 24hrs! We got discount for sighning up for IHG one reward plus got benefits from that(although yets to find out what benefits). All staff were very polite. Bed made everyday and clean towels too. Couldn't complain about any of the above.

We knew as we had been informed that work was being carried out, so we expected this, there was no lift from parking level. The lift to the 5th floor felt unsafe and each time I was glad to be out of the lift, I sort of wished we had kept the original room that was on a lower floor! On arrival to the bar we hoped to order some food after our extra long drive(due to motorways closures) found that a good half of the menue was not available, no explanation made just 'sorry we only have ones not crossed out!' Free drink was cheaper drinks, to be expected. I could have found a cheaper venue, however I thought having parking, breakfast and meals all under same roof would pay off. Not sure it did.

Great location, and good view, if only from the side you could still clearly see the seafront easily! Room was tidy and spacious and even though there was renovation works going on in the hotel the disruption was minimal. Staff were friendly and helpful. Breakfast was good and plentiful

The plug on our sink got stuck! But staff were prompt and helpful and it was soon resolved.as usual in all hotels rooms- the lighting was terrible- dark and gloomy and awful trying to slap on the makeup! There was also no extractor in the bathroom so it steamed up and made the mirror there unusable. The shower screen was useless and most of the water ended up on the floor.

I had a standard double room, which was pretty large for this grade of room. Lots of space, sofa, desk etc, sea view (at an angle), comfortable bed, good shower. Wifi and TV worked well. Excellent breakfast with healthy options. Located on sea front and short walk from city centre, and just one block from Preston Street with its excellent range of international restaurants.

Room fixtures and fittings needed a little attention, and the windows were thick with sea spray which obstructed the sea view. I would've appreciated a small fridge. One lift was out of action, and had been when I stayed a month previously.... It was great to have an underground car park (extra fee) but it is incredibly cramped and difficult to squeeze into a space (if you have a fat SUV, forget it!), I had to exit my car through the window!

Staff are friendly and very helpful. Breakfast was really good. There’s a little cafe bar that sells food and has a kid’s menu. There’s a/c in the rooms and the windows are good at keeping out noise from the street. We had a child’s bed in the room at no extra cost, we just needed to ask on arrival and they brought it up a while later. There’s a room service menu, no deserts but you can buy chocolate bars at the cafe.

We booked weeks in advance but still didn’t manage to get ourselves a sea view room. The view was nice enough though, of Regency Square and the 360 ride. Check in was strictly 4pm which led to big queues at that time. No chance of early check in but they do have a luggage drop service. The photos of the lobby and outside seating on their website are a bit misleading. There’s only one restaurant and it’s very limited for space, inside, lobby level and a bit basic. But the staff were amazing and made up for it.

Staff are friendly and accommodating, location wise, it's perfect, really a seafront. The best thing is , guests get to take some food away , they go around to each guest and ask if we want to take some food away before they close the breakfast buffet. This is the only Holiday Inn we've been that offers that.

The hotel looks older than the other one we've been, but the real issue I've encountered is that I was asked to pay the breakfast for my 16 year old son . When I booked, it wasn't explained that this particular branch only allowed 13 years old and below. It should have been mentioned on the booking, because they asked for the age and I put 16. I am an IHG member, we booked this hotel every time we go on holiday, and this is the only one that made me pay for my son's breakfast 😔, it's a letdown.

I got a black Friday deal on this hotel for four people we had a room with two double beds. Unfortunately my other guests couldn't travel with me at the last minute. It was a special birthday treat and complimentary drinks were given. The breakfast and supper all included. A mini bar with soft drinks and bottled water mars bars huge array of tea coffee hot chocolate crisps. It was beyond generous. The supper was great but if one was paying ful price you might feel disappointed. The breakfast was incredible. The only concern is that the lift sounded unsafe. After going up in it once we took the stairs. We were on the third floor but if you were on the top floor this might be a concern. The cleaning was immaculate. The bath water roasting hot lovely. The bath was a bit short and narrow for a large lady !! The heating in the room was lush I think it was fed in high near the ceiling. I live in a cold house and me and my daughter slept like babies here. A very luxurious night. The soundproofing was great although the hotel might have been less than half full. I would definitely stay here again do not hesitate to stay at the holiday inn Brighton. We got a side sea view of the west pier. The paintings of the west pier in the bedroom was a nice artistic touch. A super birthday and the hotel definitely made up for my missing guests.

All the staff we met along the way were so helpful and friendly, one particular member of staff who helped us check in was particularly helpful. I believe his name was Raynne? We had an issue with the shower and he told us we could either shower in another room or move rooms completely, he was also supposed to finish work two hours ago but was staying behind making sure other guests were looked after and trying to fix the problem. Even the next morning he was downstairs and still cheerful after having a late shift! We also appreciated another member of staff unfortunately I didn't get her name but we got down to breakfast a bit too late for breakfast but she was kind enough to let us in and grab a few leftovers and even went into the kitchen to grab my son some pancakes!

The reception desk was well staffed. The staff were friendly and polite likewise the other guests. The rooms and throughout the hotel was clean and well presented. The buffet breakfast was extremely satisfying and there was a very good selection of hot and cold breakfast choices.. I loved the location as its opposite the beach and close to all the attractions.. and a short walk to the High Street shops etc I would recommend this hotel and stay there again.

The evening meal set menu was somewhat limited and "Some meals" were not available on the menu or they ran out.. HOWEVER with no questions or fuss! the staff did offer the opportunity to select from the main menu to compensate me and other guests. This was appreciated.. I stayed there from Christmas eve for 3 nights 2024 but there was no Christmas roast but again that wasn't too bad really. I was in room 314 the external windows were not absolutely clean on the outside which somewhat spoiled a clear view of the beach BUT as I guess it would cost a fortune to keep cleaning the windows in a hotel of that size also given the bashing from sea salt etc. The glazing inside was clean however and the room had a side view of the sea view ... very nice..

Good location, onsite parking, large bedroom, great staff and good food. Also, booking with Booking.Com was cheaper than booking directly with IHG, and I'm an IHG member!.

The whole hotel is in need of a complete refurbishment/ update. Our room's decor was circa 1978 (took me back!). They are apparently undergoing a refurb., but we first stayed here in 2021 and it doesn't appear to have changed much since then. However, all that said, don't let my comments put you off as we had a perfectly acceptable stay here, but it could be so much better.....

It was an exceptional experience from start to finish. The staff were incredibly welcoming and attentive, making sure every need was met with a smile. The room was immaculate, spacious, and beautifully decorated, providing a perfect blend of comfort and luxury. The amenities were top-notch, including the seasite view.. The location was ideal, allowing easy access to local attractions and transportation. I also appreciated the thoughtful touches, such as complimentary refreshments and personalized service. Overall, my stay exceeded all expectations. I highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a memorable and delightful experience. I will definitely be returning in the future!
