I loved this pub/hotel. They had warned me that it could be noisy on the weekends but they put me on the second floor and it was SO quiet all the time. Noise was never an issue. The food in the pub is very good. They were exceptionally responsive to my needs, even completely replacing the shower box that wasn’t working the same day I told them about it! The bed was so comfortable, I slept better than I do at home. Plenty of towels at all times. WI-FI is super fast. The fridge was a nice convience as there is no breakfast during the week. Price for a weeks stay is very reasonable. The train is a 5 minute walk, goes all the way to Liverpool with stops in between. Everyone is so friendly and helpful. There are beautiful walks along the Sea. There is a nice little grocery shop right next door that has breakfast foods and fresh sandwiches and all sorts of beverages. 5 stars guys! Thanks so much!

There is no plug in the bathroom for hairdryer etc. The mirror in the bathroom is for a giant.. I could not see into it.. I am 5’6” tall. BUT there is a nice full length mirror in the room. If you cannot climb stairs I would not recommend you staying here, there is no lift. It was not a problem for me at all.

I stayed in the studio this time, and I loved it. Good size, light and airy, good view, comfortable armchair near window (where I can read). Food is always excellent at the hotel. But there's also the extra benefit of a microwave and fridge in this room. Tiny thing. There was no crockery or cutlery, but this was resolved for me immediately. My dog gets to stay for free. Short walk from the station. Close to all amenities. This is my 4th stay at this hotel and I hope to have many more! Only criticism. The bed needs a nice thick mattress topper. Otherwise I was very happy with my stay.

Bed needed a mattress topper.

The location and the room The pub downstairs was also very handy and it was less than 2 minutes walk to New Brighton railway station for trains to Liverpool and the Liverpool buses were less than a minutes' walk away On Victoria road the main street there are a number of great traditional pubs/wine bars that serve craft beers and these are lively in the summer and at the weekends There were a number of good eating cafes in Victoria road and down on New Brighton front which is 3 minutes' walk including Greggs (for breakfast) and an excellent Greek/Turkish grill The best place for breakfast is the cafe at New Brighton railway station a small full English breakfast with tea was 5:80 There is also a good cinema on the front ccalled the Lighthouse

The only downside is there's no elevator and the rooms are on two floors which is a bit of a struggle with a 20kg suitcase but the staff are very helpful and gave me a hand

This was my first time staying at the New Brighton Hotel and what a lovely place to stay. My room was fantastic! It was really clean and with a very comfortable bed. I had a great night's sleep. The bar was also really nice and with a great selection of beers. The location was absolutely perfect for me and the staff were all really friendly. What a lovely place to stay and I'll be back again soon! Many thanks to everyone at The New Brighton Hotel.

I can't think of any negatives, except for the fact that they only serve breakfast on a weekend. Not a problem though. The lady who booked me in told me about a really nice place to get breakfast, which was just across the road and their bacon sandwiches were amazing!

Price and convenience were important. The room was comfortable, clean and functional. We had a good night's sleep. There was some noise as we were above a pub, but it was silent upon closing. Situated in a maze of little streets this was a fantastic location. The staff from manager to cleaner were welcoming helpful and friendly. To add to their burden we arrived by bicycle and they thoughtfully found space in which to store them. We also had our evening meal in their restaurant. The food was very good. Particularly the beef pie.

Nothing of note

Friendly, helpful staff. Lovely atmosphere in the pub. Very large room, very large and comfy bed. The food was exceptional 11/10, evening meal and Breakfast. The 10% discount for residents is a nice touch.

The shower needed replacing , it wasn’t very powerful. If you don’t like noise in the evening it isn’t the place for you on a Saturday night. The hotel did let us know that there was entertainment in the pub 9pm -11pm and we were quite looking forward to this however it ended up being a disco which lasted until midnight and our room was directly above the disco, not ideal!

Booked last minute for a RNLI celebration.. We didn't expect to find a Hotel of this quality at short notice. What a great area to be in. Victoria Road is brilliant with all the coffee and wine bars. The whole area is full of wonderful art Massive and dinky. Who knew ? We do now. The Hotel has everything anyone may need and the staff have great humor and are super helpful. Grub is FAB too, I can't say the hotel is POSH but posh isn't that great sometimes. The New Brighton Hotel has a great vibe , very welcoming, quiet rooms, smashing food, lovely staff.....well we think its Great .😁

We would have arranged 2 nights stay if we had known.

Everything and much more. What a professional and friendly team from the hotel management to the bar/food staff. 5 star service all around

its not a negative. but there are only steps up to the entrance to the Hotel. Is it because its a very old building and you cant get permission for a ramp for disabled/peeps with mobility issues to come into the pub for meals/drinks etc? Its a real shame as many of my relatives would love to come on a regular basis if they could have an easier access?

I loved my room which was large and had a good view of the street. It was large enough for 2 adults and 2 children so I had plenty of room to spread out. Also liked that it came with a small but well-designed ensuite.

The biggest problem was that the room did NOT have a safe. So I was obliged to carry all of my valuables around with me. The second biggest problem was that you accessed the room by an old-fashioned key rather than a card. Given that the rooms sat on top of a pub with a lot of people coming and going this was a real problem. The last thing was that the mirror in the bathroom was too small and hung too high to be of any use to me. I am 5 ft 5 so not short, but it was obviously hung up by a 6 foot man.

Room was very comfortable and clean. A very nice Restaurant and Bar, with good food and reasonably priced, but no breakfast in the weekdays available, although plenty good cafes etc nearby or 5 minuets walk down at the main seafront area.

Had a bad experience over night with the guests in the next room being very noisy and disturbing everyone at 1am at night. But when I contacted the reception overnight number about it, the staff and Management were quick to attend and try to sort it out. The Manager offed an alternative room but I declined, as the disturbance seemed to get sorted out and it quietened down a lot following the Managers intervention.
