The location is fantastic, quick walk to Canary Wharf and 5 mins away from popular station. The rooms were clean and look just like the pictures. Bed was comfy and staff were truly amazing. Earnest the manager was super helpful and helped us with getting tv to work.

My only flag would be that sauna and steam room are very small so might not be ideal if you are sharing with someone. Also didn’t have best experience with the massage parlour. There was only a man available which wasn’t mentioned when I was booking online, but thankfully I got refund and staff were accommodating. Tv was an old model so you can’t connect your iPhone to it but there’s hdmi so you can directly connect to your device.

Close walking distance to Canary Wharf, lovely high tech room over 2 floors and high ceilings! Friendly staff who explained facilities really well!

Nothing we didn’t like although shortly after booking received quite a long email with rules and advising of a £100 deposit that would be required upon arrival that could take 14 working days to be returned. So it was good to know this before arriving but I would have preferred to know upon booking. The deposit turned out to be just £50 when checking in and was returned almost immediately so there was no dramas there in the end.

the walk to canary wharf is not very nice, particularly not at night, hopefully this will be better in the future, when all constructions are finished

Breakfast was too basic and very limited. We had to wait for eggs everyday as they were never ready. Not enough bread, rolls and delicacies which would have made the breakfast perfect. You should improve on more food.

I did not like presenting my ID to the reception as we are both U.K. citizens and we live in UK. I have already fully paid. I didn’t also like leaving a deposit. What was that for? We have stayed in five star high quality London hotels and deposit was never asked. It is not necessary for a small hotel. The room was too hot. The Air Con is not powerful enough. It keeps cutting out. No windows to open for fresh air.

First off the staff was very friendly, helpful and accommodating. They even went a bit above and beyond not only letting us store our luggage when we arrived a bit early for checkin, but then carried it into our room when it was ready. The view was overlooking a small garden and part of the cemetary giving us sights of birds, squirrels and foxes which gave us lots of entertainment in the morning. The layout gave the room quite a charming feel. Location was also really good, being very close to Canary Wharf you had many options for getting downtown, but was also far enough away that we did not get any noise pollution from pubs and restaurants. All in all we really enjoyed our stay

The room utilized some button panels to control lights, however some of the buttons just did nothing (like opening and closing curtains), and we had a weird thing where one side of the bed controlled the lights for the other side. The room was also a bit loud; many sounds from the AC and other things during the night, as well as hearing doors opening and closing from the other rooms. At times it did sound like someone was opening and closing our door (which they did not, just the sounds that made it seem so)

Stayed several times, the hotel is located so conveniently to DLR at Poplar (4 min walk) or Canary wharf and the underground lines 10 mins away its easy to do everything. The hotel itself is excellent, staff always helpful, everywhere clean, beds comfortable and rooms are all so big! Didn't have breakfast this time, but the restaurant in the evening is a new gem!! So much improved! Great food and great atmosphere.

Please replace the wooden stirrer with teaspoons. Trying to get a coffee bag or tea bag out of the cups was a messy affair! Ground floor room a bit noisier than other floors we've stayed on (within the hotel) A little bit of maintenance needed in the usually spot on bathroom. Shower rail, hand towel rail and towel rack as all hanging on by a screw. (Rm g8)

Everything is perfect. The place is sparkling clean and the rooms have real character. What makes the place even better is the staff who are super kind. Special mention to Ernest and Thomasz. Location is very good, connections to centre are served by DLR at only 8 min walking or by Bus n 15 just behind the hotel. They have a SPA which is complementary for guests and all products are from l'Oxcitane (shampoo, conditioner, shower gel). Bonus is the complemetary water bottles, the bath robes and the bed are Suuuuper comfy! This has been the 3rd time we've stayed at Lansbury but will certainly be back there!

I came with my daughter to celebrate her 40th birthday with an overnight stay and a massage and facial in the Spa. Breakfast was Amazing, especially the sausages. The room was big and spacious and great views of Canary Wharf. The hotel looks absolutely stunning, very aesthetically pleasing! I would definitely stay here again!

The TV seemed very small for the size of the room. The air-conditioning wouldn't turn off, we tried to turn off by the controls but it kept resetting back. The room felt really cold. We mentioned this to reception and she asked us how hot would we like the room to be. We asked gor 25 degrees. We went upstairs and felt the room warm up pretty quickly. The only problem was that we couldn't turn it off again. The control panel just reset it back to the original setting. We couldn't even turn it off. It was a very hot, sticky night. I did think the room could have been cleaned better. It was dusty and cup stains which were sticky on some surfaces.

The hotel is a traditional building opposite to the skyscrapers of Canary Wharf. Our smart room was large, comfortable and very clean. You can control everything via the TV: from the lights to the air conditioning. Breakfast was very good too with lots of choice of traditional English dishes along with the basic continental options. We love it. The kind hotel staff was always willing to help us with everything.

Nothing in particular. We worried about the hotel's location but we didn't come across with significant problems. Of course, the upgrading of the area's infrastructure will certainly help the hotel.

We've stayed here on a few occasions now and it's a lovely hotel. Front desk staff and management are very welcoming and friendly. The hotel is a unique building with character rooms with interesting features like exposed beams, loft rooms and fireplaces. The breakfast was tasty, although the restaurant is small so I can imagine it could get pretty busy at peak times. I haven't used the spa yet as unfortunately we have never had the time but this is a nice feature. It's location is convenient with good connections and you can reach canary wharf on foot in less than 10min with lots of restaurant's and bars and near by.

My only gripe is the shower takes a long time to warm up and the window blind let in a lot of light so the room was very bright at 5am
