Really lovely hotel - design of hotel and room nicely done, professional staff, very good location. The bathroom was newly done and full of style and very clean. Tea, coffee, hot chocolate, biscuits - offering on welcoming to the room a welcome and ready to relax.

Rooms do need some attention to detail as in smell of rooms and ensuring any marks on walls removed and clean crisp bedding. One point is to ensure value for money as a deal on including breakfast and room as a little expensive …. Business point of view would get more volume of footfall if value in room & breakfast and even a welcome free tea or coffee at the bar on entering to encourage staying at the bar or viewing the hotel as it feels very separate and bar like a little cubby hole - but very nicely done … just felt ushered to our room, rather than a welcome to the whole hotel.

Location, amenities

Staff allocated room 207 for us which was already occupied. WhenI tried to enter the room, I saw a woman who was half naked surprised as to why we have access to her room! I apologised and luckily the chain in the door was latched. We went downstairs to report the incident, lady in reception apologised but did not seem too bothered about what happened. We felt embarrassed for the guest

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Absolutely Loved Our Stay! We absolutely loved our stay at Seven Hotel! The atmosphere was peaceful and the cleanliness was outstanding—our room was cleaned daily, including fresh towels every day, which was a lovely touch. The restaurant downstairs is absolutely beautiful, with a stylish and welcoming interior, and a lovely open outdoor area perfect for enjoying a relaxing meal or drink in the fresh air. The food was absolutely top-notch—compliments to the chef! Every meal was delicious and beautifully presented. The staff in the restaurant were cheerful, welcoming, and provided exceptional customer service throughout our stay. The location is perfect—just a 5-minute walk to Adventure Island, and there’s even a free lift that takes you straight down to the beach, which was super convenient. There’s a beautiful park right next to the hotel, filled with palm trees and lush greenery—it honestly felt like we were abroad! Southend is a fantastic destination for families with lots to do, all at affordable prices. We’re already looking forward to coming back again. Highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting the area!

There wasn’t anything we didn’t like.

The location was excellent with a lovely view. There was a car park, small but we just got in. The room was clean and there were chairs to sit on - this is not the case with all hotel rooms. The staff were polite.

It wasn't bed and breakfast, just room only and the breakfasts were very pricey. We didn't require everything on the breakfast but there was no reduction on the price. The fruit juice was topped up with so much ice there was hardly any juice and it was very expensive. We found chewing gum in the complimentary drinking water. This was replaced but a little compensation wouldn't have gone amiss such as a bottle of wine or a complimentary breakfast. We felt that was a bit stingy.

We stay 3 or 4 times per year in Southend. so have had some interesting experiances?? this wasnt oner of them, was a tads hesitant after one review on here but my experiance. it was A1. A great room, brilliant room cleaning and attention to detail, they take great care, all staff being attentive, wilst not intrusive. Food was exceptional, good quality well presented and hot on hot plate, cold on cold, sorry its a simple thing, but so many get it wrong, would recomend to others and definately stay again. - another little touch being jug of hot milk with pot tea when drinking outside (in mid october), as i say little things make the greater experiance House keeping was great. exactly how it should be, ie un noticed, came and went without full, always knocking before trying to enter. but doots have chains to stop unwanted entry anyways. we always felt safe, which is a massive plus point.

i wish they would do an inclusive breakfast tarrif, on booking, but wholey understand why they - and others dont... so its not a negative. more a site issue

Amazing location, front desk staffs, house keeping staffs and restaurants were amazing, I didn't expect that kind of vibes, ppsitive energy, excellent services. So friendly. They've exceeded my expectation. Free parking inside the hotel. In our arrived in the hotel around 3:00 pm, the room was ready. My wife suggested if she can swap the room, she preferred the sea view ' less than five minutes, they took my wife the see thee room, after viewing the others rooms, she decided the go back in the room we have booked. A massive room, double room, comfort, very clean, AC was perfect. The lift, the corridor were cleaned. In our arrived in the restaurant, less than two minutes the waiter approached our table, great us first and gave us the menu and explained us and at the same time, we asked if you can placed the order at same time, he replied yes. The foods came on time. We were so happy about every single service in the hotel. I gave them 11/10

I really love this hotel Seven hotel.

We booked two suites, as stayed with family. We couldn't fault the staff, the food or the amazing sea views. We had brilliant weather too, so that was a bonus.

The price we paid was not much different to a suite we had at the Marylebone hotel in London which was much better (with complimentary mini bar, better facilities etc) so the price was a little high for what you get, aside from the room being slightly bigger and the balcony, you didn't really get much else than what you get in other hotel rooms for cheaper. There was nothing really 'special' about it. The TV remote didn't work properly also, plus the shower dispensers were nearly empty, they should have been restocked on arrival.

The room itself was very nice, very clean, modern furniture in art deco style, the bed was comfy.

When I booked the room there were no options for the type of view you want as is usually the case for hotels so I assumed that as the hotel is called "seafront" that all rooms would have a sea view. Apparently that was not the case and my room would view at a garage and the view was really bad. The management needs to clarify the view when you book. The hotel was of good taste overall and in good condition but I am not sure why it is called "luxurious" and "boutique" as it was not any of these in my opinion. The room was quite small even though they said that they upgraded me to the "king size"

Excellent location Restaurant and bar in the hotel were fabulous. We had dinner with family - a roast that was enormous. A quick breakfast and a lovely lunch with friends. Staff were really friendly and helpful Would stay there again Highly recommend

Bed was really small, it really was a cosy double Pillows were way too soft Towels were great size but a bit old Shower controls were in a really weird place in the bathroom However the bathroom was roomy and spotless

Outstanding service - friendly and professional staff, who all had a beautiful smile each time we saw them. They made our special day (wedding) even more special, every request was granted without any issues or hesitation. Their can-do attitude is impressive. Loved our room, we’d say the best one in the hotel, the best view, specious stylish functional and comfortable. It was so quiet at night we didn’t hear a single noise. Housekeeping staff were all amazing too, they came to offer more water and towels just as if they knew we were about to request, they magically appeared at the door. When we left to go to the venue they had turned the room around cleaning and set up for our wedding night. And what a delicious breakfast, big portion and everything is reasonably priced. Thank you so much and we will be back soon!
