I stayed at this hotel with my partner and we had a wonderful time overall. The views from the hotel are absolutely breathtaking. The staff were incredibly welcoming and attentive, making us feel special throughout our stay. One of the highlights was definitely the breakfast—delicious, varied, and served in a beautiful setting. But the standout experience for both of us was the Spa package. It exceeded all expectations: relaxing, professional, and beautifully designed. Truly a 10/10 moment that made our trip memorable. If there’s one area that could be improved, it’s the organization of the Sunset Lounge. We felt a little bit frustrated while external people was allowed to enter and we, as guests, they denied a table. So if you ask a waiter they said there was no table, but if you just go without asking then they let you in. We ended up in a different sunset lounge the following days…

irst of all, it's difficult to visualize what the town of Göreme looks like just by looking at Google Maps and Streetview images. In reality, Göreme is built on the sides of hills, so getting to the hotel from downtown (where all the shops and restaurants are) involves walking up quite a steep hill. One good thing about Artemis Hotel is that there is a decent-sized car parking space in front of the hotel, so if you bring a rental car, you can park it there. Upon our arrival, we were given a free upgrade to a junior suite, which was located on the ground floor (see the photos of the room). The cave suite itself was built into the rock behind the hotel. The only downside of a ground-floor room is that you don't get a view of the town from above, but as we are both 60 years old, we appreciated not having to walk up any steps to reach the rooms located higher up. The breakfast room is located two levels above ground and features a large window and a small balcony overlooking the valley. The food served there was much better than the hotel we stayed at in Istanbul. A wide range of fresh and traditional Turkish mezze were offered daily, along with a variety of hot dishes (which changed every day). If you plan to go ballooning, I would suggest asking the hotel to book it for you with their preferred partner, Butterfly Balloons (https://butterflyballoons.com). Although they are more expensive than other companies you'll find on TripAdvisor, the key difference is that they limit the number of passengers to 16 per flight, with each of the 4 baskets holding only 4 people. This way, you get a much cozier and more intimate experience, rather than being one of 20–32 people in a large balloon basket.

This might be a small thing but there weren't any hooks in the room, apart from coat hangers in the wardrobe. I'd like to see several hooks on the wall around the room, e.g. by the door, so we can hang coats, jackets, shoulder bags easily, without having to use the coat hangers each time.

An ideal place to relax! Very polite staff, all of them! You feel like you are not just a client in this hotel, but a welcome guest! They will help you organize your vacation: a hot air balloon flight, excursions (both group and private), quad bike rides, and they will also pick you up / take you from the airport. There are also wonderful breakfasts, very varied. Live music in the evenings, very high-quality cocktails, delicious hookah. The hotel is located on the top, from where a beautiful view of the balloons opens, a 5-minute walk from the observation deck. I will note about the rooms - very clean, spacious, there are all the bathroom accessories, a bathrobe, slippers. Also in the refrigerator there is a free bottle of wine, drinks, water. In the room there is a coffee machine with capsules. I do not know what can be done even better than this hotel was able to do for its clients. Artemis is the best hotel !!! And the restaurant, by the way, too!

Artemis Cave Suites proved to be an excellent choice, with its elevated location providing sweeping views of the town and truly remarkable sunsets. Guest Relations gentleman Burak ensured our comfort from booking confirmation through arrival and departure transfers, making the entire process seamless. It was also reassuring to see the hotel manager, Michel, personally attentive to every guest’s well-being, a hallmark of exemplary leadership. It is therefore no surprise that his team did not miss a single detail in ensuring their guests’ comfort.

In all honesty I liked everything, but not to miss out the point-our only discomfort was about the lack of smoking areas, people smoke from anywhere which may make other guests (non-smokers) abit uncomfortable.

The breakfast was delicious and plentiful, and the hotel staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. They enthusiastically answered all my questions! I booked a hot air balloon ride with Butterfly through the hotel—it was a 16-person basket, and the experience was amazing! The hotel handled all the communication with the balloon company and even helped me book in advance. I only had to pay on-site, which made the whole process super simple and reassuring. I'm really grateful to the hotel for arranging the hot air balloon ride! I also wanted to drive myself to watch the balloons, and the staff kindly recommended the best spots for viewing. In addition, I booked a sunset horseback riding tour through the hotel. Riding through the valley was absolutely incredible—such a great experience! The best part is that you can book this activity through the hotel anytime before noon on the same day, which is very flexible. Just a heads-up: the horseback riding activity now only accepts cash in euros.

Artemis was our second stay in Goreme, and somewhat disappointed us as the room air conditioning had packed up and the hotel was unable to find necessary resources to repair it in the night. Being a busy night, we understand their inability to provide an alternative room, but for the rates charged per room, it is expected for the hotel to have maintenance crew available 24/7. To the Hotel's credit, they comped our dinner when we checked out the following morning, but that was a little too late as we had already endured a fairly uncomfortable night.

I liked the room and appreciated the upgrade offered by the staff. Everything was of high quality and beautifully furnished. The breakfast was delicious and varied, and the bed was very comfortable with two types of pillows. The in-room toiletries were also of excellent quality.

Unfortunately, reserving a table on the Kaira terrace in advance was impossible. It operates on a first-come, first-served basis, and reservations are not accepted. Considering it's the most popular terrace in the area, by 18:30, no available seats were left. Since most tours finish around 18:00, you’ll likely miss out on a spot. The room was quite stuffy, and the air conditioning didn’t work. We called the staff, but unfortunately, it still wasn’t fixed.

The location is great in Göreme with great view. The spa and restaurant/bar at the site were great. You do get a great view from the hotels on the balloons if the wind will take them over Göreme. The staff were helpful with giving advice and explaining things.

The sound isolation to outside and door bangings. You could hear the neighbours when they closed/slammed the doors shut. This meant that we got woken up everyday at either 03:00 or 05:00 when people were going to balloon rides or to watch balloons at the hotels. The room could use on lamp on the roof because the light provided is not enough when you need more light. The trashcan feet opening device did not work and the tap to the sink in bathroom was loose so it moved when you used it.

Great location for viewing the balloons. And really just an epic location with outstanding views of the area. Staff were great. The rooms were also fantastic.

Our room was directly under the bar which plays live music every night. It was quite loud however the music was great and finishes up at 9:30. We bought earplugs anyway and so we were not affected. Our door was right next to the restaurant so it was annoying having loud Americans talk trash which we could here through our door as they were less than 3m away.

The hotel is beautiful, located inside a cave system in Cappadocia. The town itself is a short but steep walk down a hill, the open air museum is also within walking distance. The staff was very nice and helpful, arranging transportation for us to and from the Nevsehir airport and the underground city at Derinkuyu. The Spa was absolutely amazing and couldn't come more highly recommended. Breakfast was good with friendly staff was well. Temperature control worked well thanks to the A/C-units.

Sadly, we had a lot of rain during our first days here and, due to the structure of the caves, had several leaks in the room during the night. The night staff didn't speak English so it took them a while to get towels to put on the floor. They tried fixing the leaks the next day but when that didn't help we were upgraded to a junior suite, which was very much appreciated. As mentioned elsewhere it's not the most quiet property. The music ends at 11 but Instagram 'models' will start climbing up to the terrace very early in the morning, which can be noisy.
