Our stay at Asteria Cave Hotel was absolutely fantastic. We booked two rooms for two couples online from the UK, with Jacuzzi and a view, and the hotel exceeded our expectations in every way. Location: Perfectly situated for stunning views, including both sunrise and sunset. The location is ideal for exploring and capturing the beauty of the surroundings. Room: Spacious, comfortable, and beautifully designed rooms with in-suite Jacuzzis – perfect for couples looking to relax in style. The tea table, cushioned chairs, and soft lighting made it even cozier. Balcony: Simply wow! The views in the morning and evening were breathtaking, making it a perfect spot to unwind and take in the scenery. Staff: The staff were incredible. They were friendly, responsive, and eager to assist with everything. I contacted them via WhatsApp for assistance, and they always responded quickly. They helped us book transportation, a camel ride, and gave us great local travel tips and recommendations for exploring places like Poerty Avenos. Food: The breakfast was clean, delicious, and varied with at least 6-7 foods , including fresh salads and four different types of cheese. A great way to start the day! Hospitality: Ahmet, was amazing – always available and very kind. Sofialso incredibly friendly and helpful. Their attention to detail and genuine care for guests made our stay even more enjoyable.

The king room is superb, with a terrace just for us and an extraordinary view over Goreme. We never get tired of sitting and listening to music at high altitude and with such a view. The guy at the reception always helped us with the parking space The breakfast was very good, with one exception that I will detail below

-at breakfast no espresso, or filter coffee, or any kind of natural coffee, just instant coffee. A big minus for me, a coffee lover -no fridge neither in the room nor in the common area, if you wanted to get 2 beers from the shop next door, you had nowhere to keep one cold. I find it unacceptable for this century Despite these minuses (big, in my opinion) I gave an excellent rating for the entire well-being of our stay

It is so close to the center yet so far, I mean in a positive way. Excellent view of Goreme 300 degree view. You can watch the hot air balloon in the comfort of your own terrace in your PJs. We slept so good, it’s dark and noise is almost sealed out It’s a cave hotel! There’s an entertaining parrot out in the yard, he is a tease.

There’s a restaurant across the street that plays live soft music from 1800 to 2300. But if you like like it- it’s not a problem. It’s flute, violin and guitar- so no heavy metal or rock.

The location was very convenient - I walked from the hotel to the Open Air Museum and was within walking distance of local restaurants, bars and shops, as well as other points of interest and local cultural experiences. Ahmet was so helpful as well and booked every experience that I requested, including transfers from and to the airport, hot air ballooning, traditional Turkish dinner and horseback riding. Breakfast on-site was also phenomenal with plenty of delicious options. The hotel also had a balcony for viewing the hot air balloons every morning. I highly recommend Asteria as a solo female traveller.

The location is great. Close walking distance t the sunset point and not too far from the Main Street. The staff were always friendly, attentive and helpful. Thanks Ahmet and Omer, appreciated the advice and quick replies to my messages. And the breakfast were fresh, more than ample and water and coffee available.

The rooms could do with some maintenance and general attention on things like showers, better curtains and maybe a fan in summer. The shower attachment was not there but they moved me to another room as the maintenance person was fully booked. Staff were great. Overall good value for what you pay

It’s a beautiful space, feels like a castle inside, amazing views of the balloons in the morning. The price is worth for the environment. It feels magical.

It’s sad because the place is impressive and it has the potential to be a 10/10 but there are little details that make it look bad. Breakfast is very mediocre, the water in the bath is warm never hot, there are broken things all over the room that have an easy fix; lights not working, broken toilet seat and the place to put the toilet paper, they give you milk powder with the kettle but not coffee… little stuff that gives the impression they don’t care about their hotel or their guests…

Location was great - close to the centre, but also great views of the surroundings and the balloons in the morning. The staff were so kind, informative, and really helpful. Breakfast was huge & delicious. There were nice balcony areas for sitting out.

Can't complain about much tbh. Really lovely, but: - the drains in our ensuite smelled pretty terrible the whole time (I understand that plumbing in a cave might be a problem though). -the coffee situation at breakfast was fairly crap. (There was a small/domestic bean-to-cup machine - which we were warned about, and did indeed taste burnt/dirty/just horrible. At least on the first day they had a jar of instant coffee available, but that ran out and wasn't replaced.) - no window in 2 out of 3 of our rooms, which they don't warn you about ahead of time.

My stay at the hotel was fantastic. Staying in a cave room is a unique experience. The room was beautifully furnished, and the bathroom was modern. The location of the hotel is great, as it only takes a few minutes to get to the viewpoint. The view from the hotel at Göreme was beautiful too. I was able to park my car right in front of the hotel. I booked the balloon ride directly with the hotel at a fair price. The staff was very helpful and incredibly friendly.

What a great location, right up near the sunset view point , also a great view from the bedrooms of the sunrise hot air balloons floating across the Goreme valley. There are great restaurants cafes & bars. Authentic local family run the hotel, the breakfast is huge & great kept me going until dinner 3x of cheeses olives salad eggs, cakes wow! Fresh bread dips…. Wow! I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend this place great value for money.. its sits in an area of establishments twice the price & up.

Double check in the pics that the cave room you book has windows, there is only one I believe withou, which I accidentally booked. However the hosts were really accommodating & gave me a room with windows as I’d prefer. Just a note that the standard room was still very lovely atmospheric, nicely decorated as per the other rooms & equally as comfortable, I just like to have a window to open! Perhaps the hotel could specify this in the listing to save any confusion.

We liked everything, cave, close to the town, the balloons do come into the township if the wind is right. Omer, one of the workers there worked very hard to make everyone’s stay enjoyable.

We didn’t like that the hotel stated that they would accept card on Booking.com but we were told that they only wanted cash Euros. We wanted to pay by card on checkout and were told we couldn’t, that they didn’t have a card machine. A card machine miraculously appeared to save the day with the receipt stating Asteria Cave Hotel.
