Great location in the Old Town area. Very walkable to tourist sites, shopping, grocery stores, and restaurants. We always felt safe in this bustling area of town. Our room was large, clean, quiet, and comfortable. Complimentary breakfast was good. Staff was friendly and helpful. Our group of 11 arrived a few hours earlier than check-in and were allowed to store our luggage in a secured room behind the reception desk with no extra charge, which was very much appreciated. Train station was about a 10-15 min walk on easy flat terrain, mainly through the shopping areas. We also received a pass for free use of public transportation but we didn't need to use it. We were very happy with our choice of this hotel!

Nothing - everything was great!

Great little spot and comfortable room right in the heart of Bern. The building looks old (as you'd expect in the historic district...) but inside is modern and recently refurbished. Breakfast was nice; I didn't get to really chat to any of the staff properly but they were friendly; and the location is great. Much more affordable than many other Bern/Switzlerand options, too. The pillow service is a fun idea.

The street below can get very busy and loud, but the window blocks this out almost completely; the trade-off is that with no aircon the room gets quite stuffy quickly in summer. A small fan is provided to help with this and it's not unique to the hotel but something to be aware of.

Excellent, friendly staff. Room was clean and quiet. Breakfast selection was good. Location central, very close to historic sites. Even though hotel did not have its own parking, large garage was nearby and very convenient.

Unfortunately we stayed when Bern was experiencing heat wave. The room does not have A/C, which made it a bit less comfortable in the evening. Nevertheless, our room was not so hot, perhaps because it was not on the top level.

Warm welcome from the friendly receptionist. Very efficient and explained details of the free travel pass and how to connect to the WiFi. She was just as friendly and efficient at check out. A very clean room. A very comfortable bed, had a good night sleep. Surprisingly quiet room considering the busy street full of outdoor restaurants tables. Loved the walk in shower. Staff were very friendly at breakfast and asked immediately what beverage I would like to drink. Complementary continental breakfast provided a good tasty selection. Did not try the restaurant as I had other arrangements.

Nothing to dislike.

The hotel breakfast was absolutely fantastic, we enjoyed it every morning and it helped us save money versus finding local breakfast options. No complaints about the room, the beds and facilities were clean and comfortable. They were able to accommodate our request for pillows without feathers, which was extremely helpful. The hotel is located in an absolutely fantastic location.

Only complaints would be the price and the room size.

The acoustics. The street somewhat carries sound and with an open window, you’d say you’re sitting in one of the restaurants, not on the third floor. Closing the window cuts the noise to a surprisingly low level, but Summer nights could mean warm nights. This however comes with the location and that makes the tradeoff well worth it.

Central location, within a walking distance from the train station. Very nice breakfast. Room small, but equipped with everything that one may need during a short stay. WiFi worked well. The hotel has some kind of agreement with the city of Bern to offer free tickets for public transport. Very handy in times of bad weather.

I didn’t like the pillow, it was as if half of the filling was missing. Walls are thin, so you can hear neighbours walking (luckily there were no noisy ones during my stay).

Great location, in the middle of the busy area of the city but still very quiet in the rooms. There was daily room cleaning which was very nice. The staff at reception were lovely and helpful. The breakfast was good and on par with other hotels in Switzerland (yogurt, cereals, juices, croissants, bread, boiled eggs, cured meats and fruits). There was not many gluten free options in the breakfast for my partner.

The room that was given to us had a sloped roof essentially meaning you can’t use half the room. Not a big problem.

Very good location, right in the city centre with the Zytglogge and major tourist attractions right around the corner. The staff is friendly and the beakfast is quite nice. Given Bern is a major tourist spot the price is pretty good as well.

Set in a very old building everything is a bit old, do not expect any modern facilities. It is also quite noisy, again due to the location. Finally the room I had was very small, basically a bed, bathroom and an aisle to move around.
