Wifey and I spent three nights here prior to a group motorbike tour. It is a modern, nicely decorated hotel in a multi, step level, style going down the face of a steep hill overlooking Cape Town. Reception is at the top level with a comfy sitting area dominated by a piano. Beyond that is a meeting room with the highest viewpoint. There is also a small gated car park accessed from Military Road. On the next level down are the 300 numbered rooms and the dining area which has the view alongside an outside terrace/eating area. The 200 numbered rooms share the next floor down with the kitchen and the lowest floor houses the 100 rooms plus access to the lower pedestrian gate that opens onto the road at the upper end of the Bo-Kaap district. This gate iand access to it from the hotel is locked and staff need to let you out. Beware if you order an Uber or Scooteroo to deliver to the Signal Hill Lodge this is where they will turn up so always quote the Military Road address. We were in Room 205 with the view. We had an issue with the shower screen that was fixed as soon as we reported it and they helped us with the room safe when Wifey locked it wrongly. Beyond that the room had a double bed with a foot either side and two feet at the foot at the foot of it. The French window opening on to our small but private balcony was to the right of the bed. The wardrobe and desk are to the left and at the foot of the bed was the Tea table and TV on the wall above it and the left to right a small recantgular bathroom. With a shower, sink and toilet. All in all not bad but but not very big considering the price. My biggest criticism is with breakfast and the super slow staff who couldn't get our requests right, took one or two orders at a time, took them to the kitchen and eventually returned. It was a complete shambles. Don't pay for it. Eat elsewhere else.

Very friendly and helpful staff. Very nice view over the harbor side of Cape Town. The location is laid out over four floors on the mountain side directed towards the harbor - you go up and down and up and down on the elevator. Kind of funny.

The room was a bit tiny and if you have to repack suitcases before heading to the airport it's difficult. The water/shower system was a bit outdated and needed explanation to get it functioning. Driving up to the place is a small road and a car/taxi is an absolute necessity.

The staff are very friendly and welcoming. they made me feel at home especially the manager and a young man called Christiano.

I couldn't get my phone on wifi while in town and i walked all the way to the hotel with the help of an old lady called Hadijah from BOO Kap. oh boy! i wished the hotel wasn't surrounded by bushes and those tall trees because anything could have possibly gone wrong given the fact that it was already night time (Ugandan walking on the streets from cape town long street all the way to signal hotel on military road!)

Most staff members were kind and helpful. Peter was very helpful, and went the extra mile to resolve issues. Clean pool and a well maintained garden. They have onsite laundry facilities

water took too long to warm up in the shower. collection point for uber eats is on the dodgy side of the property.

Great location, very central to everything in Cape Town, lovely views. Room was very nicely laid out and beds were very comfortable plenty of space and luxurious. Staff were very friendly and accommodating and went out of their way to help with anything we needed. Breakfast was satisfactory, unfortunately there was a taxi strike on at the time so some of the food items on the menu weren't available. Would definitely stay there again.

The water system with the basin and shower we didn't enjoy, the fact that you could only operate the shower on its own and the basin on its own, the water pressure was quite low (I am assuming that was the problem!) so showering with little more than a trickle was frustrating.

The location is stunning, the staff is friendly and helpful. Great value for money booked 1 night and then extended by another night. The pool is an extra bonus the water was clean and refreshing. There is an elevator but note you must use stairs to the pool. The views from the balcony are breathtaking.

We were in room 203 it's had a mouldy smelling. Did inform the host when we left so I'm sure it will be sorted.wish I had booked a room with a balcony.

Perfect location, friendly staff, will go the extra mile to make you comfortable. My Wife and I really enjoyed ourselves just to break away although only one night... Definitely looking forward for longer stay next time, Thank you🙏

It was only minor:only one Toilet roll, data input didn't work,(but wasn't a big issue) lady gave us her plug.... Not anything to complain about, I will feel guilty might as we really enjoyed our 1 night stay which wasn't planned.

Rebecca welcomed us very to calm my worries regarding the small room. We did get a parking space .We also loved Naomi who did her best in making sure we are comfortable.I just wish they can repair that leg on that bed.

Room small, bed broken, one leg from the bed was broken and we slept like that for 3 days.No bar fridge, no microwave in the rooms, but they do offer those services ,if you want to warm your things they do it for you.

The view from the balcony was spectacular! The staff are very welcoming, helpful and friendly. Comfortable bed and good bedding. The Lodge is safe but I wouldn't walk around the area at night.

The water temperature in the shower was tepid - I wouldn't stay here in winter. The staff need to be called whenever you wish to use the bottom gate. I understand the need for security given the area but perhaps a keypad system would be better?

I loved the view of the city and the proximity to the CBD. The area was quiet and serene. Rebecca and Zulu at the front desk were super friendly and very helpful. Zulu waited with us for our Uber and they made our weekend special.

I didn't like geyser setup; it didn't work as expected. The first morning the breakfast was cold, but after we told them about it, the next morning it was delicious!
