Modern spacious open plan room that was extremely clean and had a large comfortable bed. We stayed as a group and had 3 deluxe rooms which were all slightly different in lay out but all of them had tea /coffee facilities ,a mini bar and a small balcony. The bathroom had a walk in shower and separate toilet and was well stocked with toiletries.The hotel is centrally located in a quiet square a short walk from the beach and the castle . There is a small supermarket 20 yds from the hotel in case you need any provisions . Plenty of restaurants and shops near by too. Breakfast was a hot and cold buffet with a great selection of cereals, fruit , cold meats and cheeses , fruit juices , pastries , cakes ,bread ,bacon eggs and sausages . Staff were all wonderful ,really friendly and welcoming . We had an early check out on our last day before breakfast commenced so the receptionist arranged for a picnic /take away breakfast for us all which was a nice touch .

We had such a wonderful experience at Eurostars Pórtico Alicante, truly a 5 star stay for us, from start to finish! The hotel is beautiful, spotlessly clean, and has a simple yet elegant design. Our room was modern but with white traditional stone walls, sleek fixtures, and a really cozy feel. The bed was super comfortable, and we loved having tea, coffee, a minibar, and plenty of closet space, all those thoughtful touches made a big difference. The bathroom was spotless and had everything new and shiny, including a great towel warmer and a separate shower and toilet, We had huge windows with a beautiful view of a plaza full of restaurants surrounded by palm trees and also the mountain, but thanks to the blackout curtains and great soundproofing, it was totally peaceful inside even though it was so lively outside. The location is unbeatable, right in the heart of Alicante’s old town. Step outside and you’re surrounded by restaurants, souvenir shops, ice cream places, and lovely plazas. We honestly didn’t want to leave! What really made our stay special, though, was the amazing customer service. Everyone at the front desk was kind and welcoming, but a special shoutout to Miss Judit, who went above and beyond for us. She helped us check in early when my kids weren’t feeling well, and was incredibly sweet and helpful from the moment we spoke on the phone. They prepared the room with little plush bears for the kids, and the sofa bed was set up and ready, such a thoughtful touch! Everything was set up perfectly, from the kettle with tea to the robes and slippers. We felt truly welcomed and comfortable from the moment we arrived. If you’re heading to Alicante, we 100% recommend staying here. It was one of the best hotel experiences we’ve had in Europe so far and we’d go back in a heartbeat!

I had a wonderful stay at this beautiful hotel — very clean, with a welcoming and helpful staff. They provide beach towels, sun loungers, and umbrellas. The Postiguet Beach is just a 5-minute walk away. The hotel is ideally located in the center of Alicante, close to everything, including a great fitness club (Cosmopolitan) and a small gym inside the hotel itself.

Minor downside: the noise from the music concerts on the square in front of the hotel, although that's not the hotel's responsibility. That said, it was also nice to be able to enjoy free concerts.

We can highly recommend the hotel Eurostars Portico Due to the central location you can visit the city by foot. There are plenty of restaurants around the hotel. The room we stayed in was very spacious, clean and modern with a comfortable bed with very good mattresses. The breakfast goes until 11am, so you don't have to rush, the buffet offers a very wide range of delicious food. The warm welcome at the reception made us feel at home right away. Receptionist Judith gave us extensive information and her talent for hospitality was remarkable, you can feel she is doing her job with her heart. During breakfast we also noticed the friendliness of the staff and especially the male waiter was very attentive. The communication with the hotel before our arrival was also very good, I received very clear information about the parking possibilities in perfect English, everything was well arranged for a stay without stress. When making the reservation I had mentioned that this stay was on the occasion of my husband's birthday. Upon arrival in the room he found a birthday card and a chocolate cake. We really appreciated this extra attention. At the reception there was also someone who spoke French, Gulia, a young French lady who, with her enthusiasm and friendliness, is a great help, especially for the French-speaking guests (including my husband). We are glad to keep lovely memories of these days spent in the Eurostars Portico and we hope to come back one day.

the lobby is a bit small for a 5 star hotel but this could be due to the lack of space in the middle of the city

Very comfortable bed, very clean, great black out curtains, windows didn't let much noise in, reasonably priced mini bar, nice to chill in the room with the balcony doors wude open. Had a great comfortable stay here. the roof terrace bar is super convenient and has a great view, great place to finish the evening.

Very good location, close to beach, sea front and old town, lots of restaurants nearby. Nice staff, excellent breakfast. You could ask for fried, poached eggs or omelette. Lovely fruit and cereal. Very clean, comfortable room. Looking out on attractive Plaza de Ayuntamiento. Hotel very close to Placa del Mar where you could catch the tram to El Campello or Playa de San Juan or Benidorm if you wish.

Ideal for March trip but If it was later in the year and much warmer climate, you would need a wide balcony and a place to sit out with maybe a pool, which it lacked.

A beautiful hotel with character located in the old town of Alicante. Our room was beside the lift but so well insulated (and with very thick walls) that we heard nothing. Also no noise from the street. We had a lovely juliet balcony and could watch the St Juan parade on the street below. Breakfast was really impressive with a great range of fresh food. Front desk staff were very helpful and couldn't do enough for us. We were a group of friends visiting for the weekend, and would definitely come back! Would highly recommend.

A small point, but the rooftop bar was a little soulless and service was not great.

Breakfast each morning was exceptional. The best I have ever had. A beautiful array of fruits, fresh baked breads, yogurts, fresh juices, cold meats, salads. eggs any style to order and so much more. Was so outstanding. Staff very attentive. Mercedes and Xan in rooftop bar so friendly and professional. Reception staff superb. Rooftop bar has great view to relax and enjoy food and drinks by day or night.

Just a little street noise occasionally at night as is a city hotel to be expected.

We stayed for four nights and had a fantastic experience. The location is perfect — walking distance to everything, with great restaurants nearby, just 4 minutes walk from the beach and bus station. Despite being central, the room was very quiet, spacious, super clean and well-equipped with a large, comfy bed. Our room overlooked a lovely square, adding to the charm. The rooftop terrace restaurant offers stunning views of Castell de Santa Bàrbera and the city. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, quickly accommodating our requests. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would highly recommend it
