We liked everything from check in to check out, excellent staff, so kind, friendly and helpful especially Guilherme (William) who we met the most, he was always friendly and smiling, thank you so much William. Also Freddie, thank you for the beautiful breakfasts especially the eggs. Location was ideal for the Old town, the beach, the transport, many many restaurants beside hotel, great location. Hotel spotless, great air conditioning and room serviced everyday, shower was amazing as was the rooftop bar, would highly recommend this hotel and would definitely stay again.

Nothing to dislike

The location is excellent, staff very friendly and helpful. We booked 2 classes of rooms for 2 nights each. Our 2nd (deluxe) room was spacious and had a tiny balcony, enough to step onto, with a view of the castle. Breakfast was good, we had this on our final morning. Great idea to have beach towels, umbrella at a small cost. We liked the boutique style decoration of the rooms, the lighting and art.

Our 1st (standard) room was small, the view was not good, an inner wall/AC units. The bathroom was small too. However, the bed was comfy and the room clean. We had the AC on through the night due to the heat, so an extra bed cover would have been helpful, as it was luckily I'd bought a pashmina with me

Location is absolutely excellent , right in centre of old town area and easy for restaurants, entertainment and local attractions. Fantastic staff , very friendly and helpful. Reception greeted us every day and asked how we were. Helped us to book flamenco nights. Cleaning staff were amazing and kept our room in immaculate and comfortable condition.

Bathroom was very small and difficult to move around in - also very old with holes near the shower area and ‘tired tiles’. Also, completely out of the hotel’s control , was the loud noise every night of the street cleaning.

Les Monges Palace Boutique. The hotel far exceeded my expectations in terms of value for money and its fantastic location. I stayed there to celebrate my anniversary with my wife, and it was simply perfect. A huge thank you to Juan and the entire team, who allowed us to check in a full 5 hours early. On top of that, we were surprised with a chilled bottle of Secco as a gesture to celebrate our special occasion. These small touches truly make a trip unforgettable and add a personal touch that makes you feel at home. As the saying goes, "Home is where you feel welcome," and this hotel embodies that sentiment perfectly. The location is unbeatable. All my descriptions are based on walking distances: Once you arrive from the airport via bus, you can reach the hotel within 7 minutes from the station. It’s surrounded by amazing restaurants such as O de Oliver, La Taberna del Gourmet, and Nomad. There are affordable options to stock up on groceries at nearby supermarkets like Spar City. The beautiful Platja Postiguet beach is literally just 5 minutes away. A heartfelt thank you to the entire hotel team. Everyone was exceptionally friendly and service-oriented, making this stay even more memorable. I highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a warm and welcoming place to stay in Alicante :)

The bathroom fixtures are a bit old, but honestly, it adds to the charm of the hotel and fits well with the rustic and welcoming theme. However, in my room, the shower holder was broken, which was a bit inconvenient. That said, it didn’t bother me personally and didn’t diminish the overall experience. The breakfast was very fair for the price—nothing extraordinary, but it was a good start to the day and perfectly fine considering it was included.

I recently spent three nights at Les Monges Palace Boutique with a friend, and we had an amazing stay! The location is absolutely perfect—right in the heart of Alicante’s old town, just a short walk to the beach, restaurants, and shops, but still tucked away enough to feel peaceful and quiet. Our room was beautifully decorated with a mix of modern touches and charming vintage details. It was spacious, clean. The bed was super comfortable, and the air conditioning/heating worked perfectly. The hotel has a lovely roof terrace looking at the Castillo de Santa Bárbara , which was perfect for relaxing in the evenings. The breakfast was another highlight—plenty of fresh options, from pastries and fruit to local cheeses and meats. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, offering great recommendations for local spots to visit. Overall, it was a fantastic stay, and I wouldn’t hesitate to come back!

If I had to mention anything, it would be the lack of storage space in both the room and bathroom. There wasn’t much room to unpack our clothes and belongings, which made it a bit tricky to stay organised during our three-night stay. Since we were travelling as friends, we didn’t share things like toiletries and tried to keep our belongings separate, which made the limited space even more noticeable. Even something simple like a basin with a couple of drawers underneath would have been really helpful for storing toiletries and keeping things tidy. Adding a few more shelves or a small wardrobe would also make a big difference. That said, these were minor issues compared to the overall experience, which was still fantastic.

Our room (a deluxe double) was gorgeous! We had two balconies and the room was modern, but also had character. The bathroom incredibly spacious (with shampoo and shower gel provided, but no conditioner). The staff were incredibly helpful (speaking both English and Spanish to us) and let us check in early. The room was very clean and in an excellent location (the old town is incredibly beautiful). The staff gave us recommendations of where to visit. The roof top bar wasn’t staffed but was gorgeous to go up and watch the sun set.

There was only a bin in the bathroom and not in the bedroom by the kettle or fridge. The room was quite noisy as the ceiling creaked every time someone upstairs walked around.

All staff very friendly, helpful and put you at ease, no matter what time of day. Roof top bar a nice touch to start the evening with a cocktail. Bar tender attentive and created a relaxing atmosphere. The breakfast was excellent for the price of €10 per person per day. Great central location, good shopping in the main city. Tram station near by and easy to use to visit neighbouring locations. There is a lot of exploring to do on foot. Would definitely recommend and would stay again.

Les Monges is an old building that has mainly been up dated with beautiful original features but the bathroom was a little tired and needs some attention but was perfectly functional and did not reduce the quality of the stay. There was some occasional noise at night from outside but being a city location this is to be expected. My only real moan is about booking.com, our original room was advertised as a double, once booking complete Les Monges contacted to say the room was not double and unsuitable for a couple and only had a single bed. So we upgraded for an extra €100. When I contacted booking.com about this we received no assistance or apology for their miss description! Check the cheaper room before you book. Shame on you booking.com to force an upgrade!

Spent 2 nights in this wonderful hotel. The staff were extremely welcoming, polite and could not do enough to ensure a pleasant stay. The room was lovely and breakfast which was included was excellent quality. Perfect location for visiting old town and further afield. Communicating with the hotel staff before our stay and making special arrangements was excellent and car parking arranged and we were met on arrival as car park is a mere 30 second walk away. It was the small things and attention to detail which made the staff and the stay absolutely fantastic. Shall most definately stay again ...value for money and wonderful service ....thankyou to everyone at Les Monges

There was truly nothing to not like and no issues at all ....

Beautiful architecture building with lots of character. I loved the tiles spanish style, high ceilings, the old style furniture & the modern twist in the bedroom with lovely wallpaper/ mural. I loved looking out of the balcony the character buildings & lovely square with the restaurants & palm trees. The hotel couldn't be situated any better.The staff was very friendly & helpful. I loved the 4th floor bar in the roof terrace with fantastic views of the castle & the old town.

Very friendly, welcoming and helpful staff. Excellent, clean and comfortable room. Nice breakfast - 'low key', but very good food and definitely all that we want from a breakfast. Excellent location - couldn't be better!

Well, if we had travelled with car: Not easy to access unless this part of the old town is familiar to you. (Luckily, we didn't try). Recommendation: Park your car outside the old town and take a taxi to the hotel.
