The hotel has a great location. Close to the beach, airport stop and tram if you feel like going from Alicante to Altea or beyond. Close to the center, the beach promenade, small shops and bars. The room was clean, sunny and therefore warm. Very helpful staff. On my birthday, I received a card with wishes from the hotel and an invitation for a drink at the hotel bar. It was a very pleasant surprise. The bartender is very nice. Breakfast in the form of a buffet. Tasty. Delicious coffee. The stay at the hotel was very successful.

The hotel was lovely and the room was good, the food was abit limited on the menu and definitely not ala carte, Breakfast was ok with a reasonable choice The Room was good with plenty of room and the bed was comfy and room clean every dsy The location was OK but was away from main town but a pleasant walk to the town 10- 15mins

The staff didn't seem that friendly Hotel was good but not a central location for town but ok for a short stay

Slow to replenish basic items at breakfast (had to ask for eggs and bread rolls) . Open until 10.30 am but by 9.45 bakery items not replaced at all.

Very close to bus and tram station . Few minutes away from main beach and shops . Great location !

We had bed and breakfast but one night we decided to buy dinner as it was supposed to be a buffet ! Don’t do it ! It was a la carte and everything was made from frozen . No taste at all ! We paid £23 per person and we gave up after first course ! We didn’t even wait for dessert ! Was discusting ! Best place to eat and save money is restaurant called 100 M… ! Cheap and tasty food and beers :)

Breakfast was very good, room was clean and very comfortable. Location was great, just a 10 minute stroll from main town and all flat with the exception of a few steps to lower road. Jessica on the bar was particularly lovely and very efficient, you never had to wait to be served and she always brought us extra's like nuts and snacks. The breakfast staff were also very friendly and the reception staff were efficient.

The pool was closed, we would have liked a swim but I am guessing it was out of season. The lifts are going through a renovation or being replaced with new lifts so it was a little 'unfinished' but this is not a criticism, it is all in the name of improvement but to manage expectation of guests, some parts of the hotel are being renovated. Our shower also went from hot to cold which was a bit of a shock. A bit like a shower which is good for the circulation!

Firstly it was SPOTLESS. Every part of the hotel and the rooms, were cleaned to the highest of standards everyday. Proximity to beach and town was perfect. Staff at reception and pool bar were very friendly. It was so silent at night, you could hear a pin drop! The air conditioning was great with a selection of settings. The shower was great, and again, spotless. Fridge and safety deposit box supplied in rooms. A good quality hair dryer, and an iron can be requested to your room and got instantly.

No tea or coffee making facilities in room and also none in hotel lobby or lounge unless it's between certain hours during the night, presumably for late/early check ins or outs. No bar in hotel only the outdoor one by the pool which was on another floor. The breakfast was a basic buffet, which I expected, but not a great selection and the tea and coffee machines were very outdated/and what came out of them tasted awful. Myself and my Mom wrapped up a croissant each in a napkin to bring to our hotel room and was stopped by a waiter and told that this was forbidden. I explained that it was only two pasties to take to our room but he still refused us taking them. I understand that people may take advantage of this and take lots away but surely they could allow a pastry for each guest.

This was our 4th stay at Hotel Maya. We hablve always been impressed by the service and location and this time was no different. We had a newly refurbished room, very clean and comfortable, with a balcony and good air conditioning. We asked for a kettle at reception which was no problem. Breakfast each morning was very satisfying. We also ate our evening meal in the dining room on one occasion, and the service was excellent.

Although our room was very recently refurbished, I would prefer the older-style bathroom,with bath and more space to keep toiletries. That said, our room was beautiful, with new and enhanced lighting, and good open-style wardrobe, and mini fridge.

Brilliant pool, very large and good for swimming lengths. Loved the option of takeaway coffee from breakfast. Lots of options at breakfast too, very good spread. Cheerful and helpful staff. Reception let me borrow an iron for my clothes. Special shout out to the guy who runs the pool bar on an evening - what a nice fellow, really chatty and happy. Very close to airport bus links and tram stop. Gorgeous balcony which caught the morning sun. Sea view and everything!

Could have done with a couple of extra pillows in the room but I bet if I had asked, they would have given me some because everyone was so helpful.

Brilliant location - approx a 10 minute walk to the beach and situated close by to Santa Barbara Castle, meaning it wasn't too far to get to the top at all. 15 minute stroll to the old town. Lovely balcony area with a scenic view. Beds incredibly comfy and hotel very clean. Breakfast buffet had a lot of choice and variation. Staff friendly and helpful. Pool use and sunbathing area also good to have (though we didn't use this). Approx €25 in a taxi to the airport.

Our room backed onto the lifts which were quite creaky/made a noise which felt a bit disruptive at times, but we were probably just unlucky getting that room. No kettle in the room was a small let down, and not many toiletry options compared to other hotels.
