Absolutely Fabulous Location! 5 min walk from Opera metro - received email before I arrived giving very clear instructions on how to get to apartment from airport. The front desk staff were so lovely and friendly and always very helpful! Thank You! Apartments are right next to Teatro Real and opposite the Palace which was ideal for exploring!

Didn't get the room I thought I chose/booked... but apparently this is to do with the photos on site and Booking.com 🙄 Wasn't told by reception about the room cleaning situation (must slide sign on front of apartment door, which wasnt that obvious 😆) so had no fresh towels or bin changed for first 2 days until I asked and it was soon rectified... these minor things did not spoil my stay as the location and staff friendliness made up for this tenfold!!

Right by the Palacio Real so you can't beat the location. The rooms are cool, furnished in a grand old fashioned style. There is a fridge and kettle, which is always handy. It's quiet at night. Front desk staff was very nice and available 24 hrs I think. There is an elevator. The Opera is very close and so are restaurants. Opera metro station is a 5 min walk away.

The inside rooms don't get much light and if you're on floor 1 it's even a frosted glass window. So to sleep ok, but to spend time in the room, maybe not. The rooms are also a bit smelly. We got it for a very good price in August but I wouldn't pay the Sept prices e.g.

The location near the royal palace is exceptional, so close to attractions and restaurants. It was quiet and peaceful at night. The reception staff were very welcoming and helpful. The room was lovely, decorated with so much character and had a lovely view. The additions of a kettle to make tea or coffee and a free mini bottle of champagne were a nice touch. I wish I could have stayed longer!

We had a view room and it was loud. You could hear people on the street even with windows and two draperies. The music outside palace is loud and heard all day inside room

The location is great for first time exploring of Madrid, or if you want to be dead centre in general. Palace is right across, and surprisingly it's very quiet at night. The host was helpful in every conceivable way, always accommodating and taking care of our experience. That made everything in the rather check-in and check-out situation so much smoother. The rooms are classy spacious; tall ceilings, wooden floor. In 15 minutes you can be away from the tourist traps. 25/30 minutes to Prado. 5/10 minutes from other main squares/plazas and Gran Via. Immediately in the vicinity of the palace, theatre, and many restaurants/shops.

No complaints at all for our short stay.

Apartments has lots of character, the room we stayed in was very spacious and well equipped. Aside from getting a taxi from the airport we walked everywhere else without difficulty and took in the atmosphere of Madrid

The entrance was hard to find at first as no large name sign is allowed. Look for a painted green door on the side of the building facing the Palace. The overall feel of the apartment is great but some parts are very worn and need some care and attention, parts of the shower, kitchen sink etc Everything was clean and there were plenty of towels and bedding

Super friendly and accommodating staff. The room was absolutely gorgeous and the bed was very comfortable. The location is awesome, right next to the royal palace, and very close to all of the things you would want to see!

The only complaint I have is that it was a bit noisy

Beautiful well-appointed room in a perfect location surrounded by restaurants and shops. Staff at reception were very friendly and helpful. Netflix was a bonus after a long day sightseeing.

Although the apartment was beautiful and had everything, we needed I feel I have to mention (like in many other reviews) that the insulation in the rooms was terrible. We could make out the conversation in the room next to us and it sounded like a herd of cattle in the room above walking on the wooden floors. Having said this given the high standard of the apartments I would still recommend to family and friends.

A beautiful room in a fabulous location in Madrid. The reception staff were delightful and very friendly. We received a small bottle of cava on arrival, which was most welcome. We slept soundly in a very comfortable bed. The apartment is not far from the Plaza Mayor and no more than half an hour's walk from most of the major sites, with many being closer. There is also a Metro station nearby, but we enjoyed walking so that we could see all the beautiful buildings en route.

As mentioned by others, the wooden floors are quite squeaky, but that is to be expected in an old building like this. If I'm being picky, they could have done with soft closure on the bathroom vanity as it was hard to shut it quietly. I was more concerned that I was making a lot of noise, rather than being bothered by others. I think it would also be useful to have a mirror somewhere in the room - which was definitely big enough for one - and not just in the bathroom. And maybe some drawer storage? Just small details that could easily be remedied, but not deal breakers.
