I stayed at Hostal Mallorca for a week at the end of May and had an absolutely wonderful experience. From the moment I arrived, the staff were incredibly welcoming and made me feel at home. Check-in was quick and easy, and I was pleasantly surprised by how peaceful the hotel was at night, especially considering it’s just a 5-minute walk from the vibrant energy of San Antonio’s West End. The rooms were spotless and cleaned daily with fresh towels and came equipped with air conditioning, a fridge, and a safe, which made my stay even more comfortable. One detail that really stood out to me was the lovely Spanish girl at reception who, one morning, greeted me with a warm smile and served me an espresso. It was a small but thoughtful gesture that perfectly reflected the warmth and hospitality of the Ibizan people, just one of those simple moments that leave a lasting impression. If you’re looking for a quiet, friendly family run place to stay that’s close to the heart of the action yet peaceful at night, I can’t recommend Hostal Mallorca enough. It truly made my week in Ibiza feel special.

The room was clean and a great size for 3 people. The meals downstairs were cheaper than you’d get from the local cafes. Location was good - many restaurants, bars and supermarkets nearby and was close to the ocean, however about a 15 minute walk to the closest beach, more than 600 yards as the website says. It is still a very convenient location, and if you’re a clubber you can easily walk to and from the San Antonio station for the Discobus (which takes you to the most popular clubs and back). The Cuban man working at reception overnight was helpful and very lovely.

There were no gluten free options at the cafe downstairs unfortunately, and as I am coeliac it meant that I had to eat elsewhere for a higher price. It is also very difficult (particularly for non-Spanish speakers) to contact the hotel for any reason before the booking. It took about 2 weeks to make a change in my reservation, because the phone wasn’t being answered, or there were no English-speakers. As well as that, my email wasn’t answered. This lead to confusion upon our arrival as they expected extra payment. Two staff members in particular were also quite short with us which made us uncomfortable in the hotel unfortunately.

Big and clean room with Air condition, nice bathroom, elevator. Staff was very friendly, basically family business. We asked for shower after check out, so they gave us clean towels and keys to special shower room. I think it will be hard to find something like this for this price. Perfect location, 5 min walk to bus station and 5 min to the beach and sunset spot. A lot of shops near buy and very nice restaurant downstairs with prices lower then I expected. Perfect for couple who want to enjoy Ibiza island. Fully recommended will be back there.

We couldn’t find pilot for air condition but temperature was set up for 22’ so perfect anyway.

Friendly staff with a great little cafe downstairs. The free beach umbrellas were a bonus. Great location, walking distance to anything you’d need in the city and only 8 mins walking from the bus station. Rooms are air conditioned with a mini fridge.

Air conditioner is set on a timer and turns off about every 2 hours. You cannot change the settings (temp, fan, etc.) of the AC unit at all. We got both a balcony and non balcony room and the balcony rooms were tiny. Don’t choose this one. It’s noisy as the walls are thin.

We have been using the Booking application for a long time, this is one of the rare cases when we did not have any complaints. The location is excellent. The hostel has been renovated, the furniture is in excellent condition, the bathrooms are spacious. It is very clean, the maid cleans the room every day. The hostel staff is very pleasant and friendly. If we return to Ibiza again, we will return to this accommodation.

The young lady who works throughout the day is SO NICE!! We were here for a short trip and didn't have much planned for our stay. We asked her what she would recommend we do/see. She was very patient with us and gave us tons of recommendations. The hotel has beach towels and umbrellas you can rent from them by giving a security deposit. After returning, you'll get the deposit back!

Two things : - When we returned to our room one evening, I noticed the balcony door was not locked. I thought to myself "I swear I remember checking to make sure the door was locked before we left." So the next morning, before we left the hotel, I locked the balcony door and told my partner to watch me check that it's locked. When we returned later that evening the same thing happened, the balcony door was unlocked. I did not appreciate the hotel crew leaving our balcony door unlocked after daily housekeeping. Made me feel very unsafe as what if I had not noticed and someone came into my room at night? - Surrounding the hotel there are tons of buildings with graffiti. The location seems a bit run down. I wish the buildings and businesses surrounding the hotel were more pleasant.

Fridge, Aircon worked well, Good shower, Quiet room didn't hear any noise from inside or outside the hotel, Short 5 mins walk to the main square / fountains in San An, Close to shops

Aircon kept turning off... think it had around 2-3 hours before it'd turn itself off which waking up the mornings was sometimes warm

the location is brilliant, friendly stuff we felt at home the room size was good and very clean and also they cleaned the room daily and offer free umbrella and beach towels which is helpful and appreciated , very safe cameras everywhere and very good safety system , sure it will be my choice if I travelled again to San Antonio

they make the AC on timer so it’s closed automatically every one hour and you need to open it again at the morning it’s okay but at night it’s annoying because you have to wake up to open it

Friendly and helpful staff. Room was clean and comfortable. In terms of value for money, it was a pretty decent hotel. The location was fantastic, and the breakfast area was clean and spacious.

You can't control the air conditioning in the room by yourself. There's no AC remote. You'll have to go down to the reception and ask them to adjust it for you (like setting it to 21 degrees). The hotel was quite noisy, which made it hard for us to get a good night's sleep. There was a constant sound of things being moved around and people talking in other rooms that we could even hear.

Great location, the hotel is nice, clean and comfortable. It is well- maintained, looks new. Good prices too. I would book there again.

The air conditioning in the room cannot be set on other temperature or speed and the unit is above the bed so I found it difficult to sleep with the air con on all night. If switched off, the room becomes hot very quickly.
