This was our first visit to a 'Parador' in Spain so Segovia was an excellent choice. We had a superb room on the 4th floor that overlooked the whole of Segoivia, which was fantastic for both day and night! The room was both large and well appointed and the en-suite bathroom was well appointed and complete with Marble walls, floor and sink basin. We had half board so had both breakfast and dinner in the fantastic dining room which again had the super views of Segovia, and the food was really very good with a superb choice and great staff that were very attentive. This type of hotel - Parador - is very good for experiencing the old school way of Spanish hospitality and I highly recommend it.

Due to the extreme weather that occurred on Thursday night (high wind and rain) we had a drought and wind noise coming through the patio door/window from the balcony, we dropped down the outside roller blind which helped and with the thick curtails pulled over it became acceptable but better door seals would be better.

The view is spectacular and it was good value for money and I just really liked the style of the building

I liked everything but the staff were a bit brusque - as if every time I asked something I was bothering them - I am not American and don’t expect fake service and other staff were essentially the same in every other hotel in Castile we stayed in. One thing that bothered me was that late check out was advertised but then suddenly unavailable, without so much as a sorry from the staff. We are from Ireland where everyone tends to be very friendly so perhaps this was just a cultural difference.

wonderful interior and exterior, view from the pool is spectactular, friendly helpful staff too. I loved the artwork selection around the hotel too and the contrast between the mid century modern design with all the ancient architecture and beauty surrounding us.

The breakfast was disappointing, as the hotel, in general, makes a lot of good efforts towards sustainability, but the coffee is individually wrapped pods, which rather undoes them. The pastries and bread were not very good compared to the excellent standard of other food on offer.

What not to like? The best hotel we have ever stayed at in Spain. Great rooms, with balcony overlooking Segovia with all the attractions in view. Plenty of car parking space with a nice drive up the hill to the Hotel. The restaurant also overlooked Segovia with a fabulous cooked and continental available and wonderful meals served in the evening with waiter service. We stayed 4 nights and after the 1st. night the menu in English was at the table waiting for us. All the staff were friendly and helpful.

On arrival to Segovia could not locate the exact location, but if you have a picture of what it looks like, look upwards and you will see it. It towers above Segovia.

Amazing view over the old city from our room and from the open air swimming pool and gardens. Large comfortable room and bed. Covered free parking on site. Taxi fares for the short ride into the centre were reasonably priced. The restaurant food was good and waiting staff helpful.

Swimming pool was unheated so very cold (despite warm weather)! Only complaint with our room was that the sliding door into the bathroom stuck and was awkward to use. We expected the bar to offer a range of cocktails but only one or two basic ones were available: disappointing in a hotel of this standard.

Big, great view, The Parador in Segovia has a great view of the city, cathedral and aqueduct from its perch across the valley. Hotels large and suburban so no public transit or reasonable walking access. Dining on the patio for dinner or breakfast is a special treat with that view and the soft Segovian air. Room was quiet with almost enough light to read a book at night. Bathroom had modern fixtures WiFi signal was strong throughout. Room was quiet. Room AC seemed to have a governor on its output so it had to be run constantly (get 2-3 room keys) to keep it comfortable in our mid 80’s F. August temperatures. Pool needs better shade as the fixed toadstool umbrellas do not provide adequate shade. Many guests move chairs behind the tall hedges for afternoon shade. These fixed “umbrellas” are small and do not adjust to maximize shade which is frustrating. Pool is large, 25 meters? And would benefit from the addition of at least one dedicated lane for lap swimmers. Hey, why not offer morning lap swimming only hours? I always appreciate that amenity when hotels offer it. I will go out of my way to stay in a hotel with a large lap pool. There is no electric car charging in the free surface parking lots. The pay parking garage has the chargers and they don’t provide cables or adapters. This limitation is not electric car friendly.

Lack of electrical car charging. Breakfast buffet needs more food choices; museli, granola, croissants, non-pastry breads. Bacon? Fruit?

Although untypically modern for a Parador, the architecture is amazing and all the windows face the incredible view. The breakfast was very good. Dinner was good but preferred the more interesting restaurants in town.

We love to walk so didn’t mind the 45 minutes plus into town, and even found a hiking trail to use, but a shuttle service for those not able or inclined to do the trek would be nice.

Amazing views, from all terraces and from bedrooms, really beautiful. Swimming pool was great and warm, staff was nice, comfy bed and great stay over all.

Breakfast is quite expensive, and we didnt know they close all exits to the garden and viewpoint area at night, we were hoping to take some night photos but you are not allowed there in the dark. We could see the night view and lights from the bedrooms as well so it was good.

Excellent location to explore the city but feel relaxed. Attentive staff, good housekeeping, good food, plenty of free parking, pleasant gardens with incredible view of the city

Could do with toilets on the main floor (reception and bar area) for those with mobility issues (although there is a lift). Information panels need to be updated when seasonal changes are made to facilities to avoid confusion.

Nothing exceptional, ok for one night but disappointing compared to other paradores. Rooms ok, beds ok, nothing more than ok though.

Tired looking building in need of some quality refurbishment. The ground floor looked particularly rough, badly painted with paint all over the skirting boards. We ate in the cafe/bar which was busy and understaffed, made worse because there was a football match on and the waiters spent more time watching the football than serving customers.
