I had a truly lovely stay at Hotel AdHoc Monumental in Valencia. The location couldn’t be better - right in the heart of the city, with all major attractions just a few minutes’ walk away. Whether it was exploring the Old Town, enjoying the vibrant plazas, or finding excellent places to eat nearby, everything was incredibly convenient. The hotel itself has a beautiful old-world charm with tastefully done rooms that reflect the character of the building. What truly stood out, though, was the exceptional hospitality from the front desk staff. From the moment I made my booking, Angelo was quick to respond to my query - a reassuring start. Upon arrival, I received a warm welcome from Roberto, who not only made the check-in seamless but also gave me excellent tips to explore the city like a local. Mirko was incredibly helpful in figuring out my bus and train options for onward travel, and Nico came to my rescue at midnight when I realised there were no towels in the room - he sorted it without hesitation. I might be missing a name or two, but every person I interacted with at the front desk was friendly, helpful, and genuinely committed to making the guests feel comfortable.

The only minor issue was with the housekeeping staff on my floor - they were quite loud while chatting and it went on for a really long time, at least a couple of hours. It felt like they had a lot of free time and were using the guest floors as a hangout space. It would be great if the hotel could provide them with a dedicated break area to avoid disturbing guests who might be resting. That said, it didn’t overshadow the overall experience.

Location was good, short walk to restaurants, Square and metro stop for airport. We had upgraded to a room with a terrace and whilst the room was comfortable, the terrace could've been better. A decent breakfast, both hot and cold choices. Sadly we weren't able to have breakfast on the second morning as it started at 8am (Saturday) and we needed to get to the airport. The man on reception did offer to see if he could do anything but we headed off. The staff were great, friendly and helpful.

Would've liked coffee in the room, there was tea but no milk. The terrace was basic with no shade, just felt, personally, more could be made of it to enjoy sitting out. As I say, a personal preference only.

Nice, cosy hotel in the city center. Clean rooms with typical valencian ceilings. Breakfast is good, with a typical food choice.

The shampoo/body wash is provided in one-time individual paper wrappers. This creates extra garbage and is not practical, especially since there was no shelve to put them in the shower. A better idea would have been to use fixed containers in the shower from which you can squeeze shampoo or body wash. The air conditioner was somewhat loud. One of the staff at breakfast was not friendly and forgot to bring my coffee.

Location, room space and appearance. Quiet area closed to most attractions and restaurants. Beautiful building. Clean. Staff is friendly and helpful.

Shawer floor is slippery, no soap holder, no towel holders, little bags of body and shampoo gels were provided however no place in shawer to put them. Shawer tiles showed mold. No luggage holders, we had to use chairs which limit seating. Close mirror doors is difficult to open. Needs a knob. No refrigerator. No microwave.

Great location and staff. Fine room and large bathroom, so overall nice and comfortable.

We unfortunately had our room right by the elevator which made a lot of noise each time in use. Also we had to hand in our key each time we left to the 24/7 reception. This was a bit worrying as new staff sat there each time and we just had to say our room number to get our key. Anyone could walk in and do that. However we enjoyed our stay overall and would recommend this location.

Reception staff pleasant and very helpful. Location first class for the city. Front Rooms at Ad Hoc very spacious, quiet and comfortable. The decor is fab with old beamed ceilings etc. and everything exceptionally clean.

Breakfast would be fine if it was kept stocked up. Staff member was very slow to clear tables, restock food and had an extremely poor customer facing attitude to guests. The breakfast area was not a huge space to manage so there was no reason for the long delays and incorrect beverage orders etc Very disappointed with breakfast service.

The hotel is within walking distance from the centre of the old town. It is also close to the park converted river that runs around the north of the old city, which is also great to explore. The staff are friendly and helpful. The room had character and was spacious. The bed was really comfortable. We were able to open the window as it was a hot night. Everything was clean. Only criticism is that there was no fan in the bathroom. Breakfast was more than adequate, with the variety and quality. The coffee could have been better.

We really enjoyed the location and the breakfast. We also liked the fact that it was in an historuc building nad m ain of the vintage elements were preserved.

The shower tiles seem to be falling off and the walls between rooms seemed to be quite thin as we could hear the girls in the next room giggling and talking late into the night.

The position is very great Just few steps to the city centre and very close to the garden where you could walk along til the city of science and art. And it's in a very quite street. You can bearly hear any noise of cars. Bed is big for one person and the room is equipped with all the necessary things. Decorations are very unique.

Very friendly and helpful staff. The rum was clean and cosy decorated. Breakfast was good and good variety. The hotel is laying in the old centrum, so very easy to walk around and se the highlights of Valencia. I will definitely return to this hotel and Valencia.
