Our Dreamer double room was located behind the main part of the hotel and was quiet and comfortable, with a good bathroom. Reception staff and housekeeping were very good. The gift of chocolates each evening was a nice treat. There was a good selection of food for breakfast. The hotel is ideally situated for exploring Valencia. The Dutch barman was excellent.

We had breakfast each morning and whilst the staff were very pleasant and willing, they often forgot things. The system of ordering and receiving hot drinks needs improvement as it's very haphazard. On two mornings there was no orange juice - in Valencia!! We often had to ask for things to be restocked. We ate dinner once in the restaurant. Again the staff were pleasant but brought the wrong starter (which we accepted to avoid waste) and we're not as competent as I would expect from this restaurant's reputation. Our room was in the terrace area behind the main building and you had to go outside to reach it. There wasn't much natural light.

The room

As my husband is a person who is blind and had a guide dog with him! We wanted to fine in the restaurant and was refused by 2 staff. When they were quoted the law! The manager if the restaurant reluctantly put us in and area separated from everyone else and noisy area where the dishes was being taken back in after use! We were given a serviette after our meal it did’t come out very well as it was cold! We were very hurt and disgusted with this treatment! Everyone is entitled to be treated with respect! The European Law states that a guide dog is allowed in all places! This ruined our trip and we then went elsewhere to eat after this except for one evening when we needed something to eat! We stayed in the bar! We can put in a complaint and have this investigated!

Valencia was 32 degrees and rising at 1600hrs on the Sunday of our arrival and Jesus Ubeda the Concierge was waiting at the door to greet us like long lost freinds coming home ready to assisting unpacking the car, welcoming us to the Spa Hotel and ensuring checking in was a breeze and our car was parked in the underground for us. As our requested room with a balcony was not available a bottle of Champagne, Tangerine Mousse and Chocolates were sent to welcome us to a few days of aristocratic revitalization in the 19 century Valencian Manor House Upon our departure 5 days later as Jesus Ubeda was not on duty however left a letter "Dear Mr Mrs G - It has been a pleasure having you at our hotel - Here you have a freind for whatever you need - Best Regards Enjoy your trip to Jaen :)

What's not to like being treated like a movie star - an old fashioned stay with a modern contempory vibe! Although the designated room 410 was compact and bijou however was slightly small and rather does require reconfiguration to enable two slender people to have comfortable funtionality.

The hotel is centrally located, high quality in a safe location. We booked it because we stayed at the Hospes in Salamanca, it is not quite the same, but similarly good. Breakfast was really good and is one of the reasons why I recommend this hotel. There is valet parking and without asking me the staff charged our electric car, which was great. There is a small spa with a pool. Staff was attentive and helpful.

Nothing really, at the moment there is some renovations on the ground floor, but these should be completed by end of August.

Wonderful hotel – great location about a 15/20 minute stroll to the main square but restaurants, bars and shops en route. Lovely welcoming staff, special mention to Tim who looked after us at breakfast each morning and served a very good Agua de Valencia in the bar! Nice outdoor area as well at the back of the hotel for food and drinks. Very quiet hotel. Rooms are excellent, comfortable beds, great bathroom and shower. Lovely surprise from the hotel to get a bottle of Cava and a fruit platter in the room to celebrate a special birthday. Fantastic stay at the hotel, loved Valencia and will definitely return and the Hospes Palau De Mar will be first choice!

Attractive, nicely decorated, old building in good location - about 10-15 mins walk from the old town. Lovely, friendly and helpful staff. Loved the evening delivery of chocolates - a nice touch. Tea/coffee machine in room. Good breakfast.

Nicely decorated, airy room, but slightly odd configuration of bathroom/toilet. We found it difficult to access the hotel’s entrance by car, but once we found it, the car was parked for us. (You CAN park in the bus lane right outside!!! )

The building itself was majestic, a grand estate with a lot of history; and yet it felt modern, elevated, and comfortable.

I have no complaints.

The structure really beautiful. The excellent breakfast and the restaurant good and not excessively expensive. The separate bathroom with bidet The staff, both in the restaurant and at the reception, friendly and helpful. The courtesy umbrella Free mineral water every day

The lighting of the room. The lights on the sides of the bed were not independent The room and bathroom amenities, few for a 5-star hotel( ex, no shower cap, no sewing thread, no polish shoes) The room a little small The bathroom without windows and a little bit claustrophobic

BEAUTIFUL building in a great location. Small spa area (small whirlpool, Turkish bath, sauna) can be reserved for 1h/ day. Small fitness area exists (we have not tried). Staff was very friendly. Massages and treatments can be booked as well. The courtyard looks very nice to sit in during the spring and summer (we stayed in winter and did not use it). Several typical local bars close by.

A very good 4* hotel. For a 5* hotel (as listed on booking) it is ok.

Location was excellent, closed to the center, parc, market, mal, etc. The Breeakfast was with local products like tomato, cheese, jamon and choriso. the hotel and the room were very causy and nice.

The noisy neibers from the next room. The the rest of the accomodations i have no complains, all was so good. We were fasinated of the building of the hotel, very nice preserved.
