Location was excellent, the terrace was beautiful and a lovely quiet place to sit for breakfast or a beer after a long days walking. There were walks directly from the hotel so a car was not needed if you are only there for a few days. Also on a good bus route, although if you want to travel further afield you would need to go back to Arecife and get another bus to other parts of the island. My room was great and imaginitivley decorated. I loved the artistic style of the hotel. The village is lovely and the restaurant at La Era was friendly and very good. Also the food at the Bar Stop was the best, and better than the rather up market restaurants.

There is no reception which is a bit of a minus, it would have been nice to have someone to ask questions and talk to, but the other guests were very friendly. There is a restaurant next door which i found rather unfriendly and expansive so I ate in the village in the evenings.

We got moved to a different hotel, la casona de Yaiza. It has swimming pool and jacuzzi for guests to use, very nice, although the weather was unfortunately too cold to use them much. Restaurant on-site is excellent. Room and bathroom were clean and comfortable. Easy parking in the street in front.

The breakfast service could be better. Lots of fruits but little more. Cheese and ham only offered on 1 day (out of 3) and only 1 plate for 2 people. Croissants/sweets on day 1 were finished only 40 min into the breakfast slot (which lasts 2 hours). On day 3 the coffee machine was broken. There were very noisy guests during our stay. Not a fault of the hotel, but not having a 24h reception means that there is nobody to stop disturbing people from being extremely loud at night.

Casa de Hilario had a peaceful, comfortable, and familiar feel about it. The characterful, quirky artistic decor was refreshing and other worldly and added to the feeling of being away from it all. As others have said, it's a great base for exploring the island but you do need a car for getting to many of the places that we went to. Breakfast consisted of 10 types of fruit, yoghurt, bread, pastries, meats, cheeses, tortilla, cereal, hard bolied eggs, coffee & several types of herb tea. It was great to be able to eat this on the outside terrace if it wasn't too windy. The breakfast and cleaning was managed by a wonderful helpful smiley lady, who I greatly appreciated. The heated plunge pool was an added bonus, with great views from its terrace. We would return here in a heartbeat. We were in room 2 which is at the front of the property on the ground floor.

If I was being the princess from The Princess & the Pea, I would have loved a different pillow as it was too deep for me, and I woke up with neck ache when I tried to use it. I just used one of the bed cushions instead though, which was fine but a bit small 🤣 We were given an emergency phone number at check-in in case we needed it, as the casa only has the lovely lady there, mentioned above (who doesn't speak English), from 9 - 3. We didn't mind this at all, but writing this here as some people might. The same people also run Casona de Yaiza, which is a 10 minute walk from here. We stayed there too, if you want to read our review of it.

The location is wonderful, with a beautiful view. ;) The room was very clean, with spacious bathroom and comfortable beds. I liked the chairs outside as well.

Although the breakfast is till 10:30 and we arrived at 10:00 the kitchen was already cleaned. The lady was very kind and brought us food etc. but I felt super uncomfortable.

Great sunset view from the pool, amazing experience in every way. Great breakfast with lots of choices and fresh bread and pastries. Staff very friendly. Everything kept to high standards.

Breakfast lovely , fresh produce and fresh bread/pastries, friendly staff, view of the coast, well-landscaped environment. Quiet area, hiring a car a must.

The pool could have been bigger but as the weather wasn't too hot we didn't need to use it much. The opening times of local restaurants was a bit hit and miss, probably due to the time of year.

The property is beautiful, peaceful and private, with just a handful of room inside and surrounding a pretty courtyard. The breakfast had a yummy array of fresh fruit, cheeses and pastries. The bed was comfy and the shower was great.

The wifi didn’t work well in our room. Not a huge deal.

Everything. Very tasteful guest house with a courtyard garden and stunning views. The room and the end suite bathroom were very spacious. The breakfast was great too. Highly recommend this place and would definitely stay again. Best place I have stayed in Lanzarote.

A kettle in the bedroom would have been welcome

Just the check-in and check out organisation is super messy even tho you try your best to inform the schedule precisely. Really unfortunate to loose time like that
