This was the fanciest place we stayed on our trip and I would definitely recommend this hotel to unwind on your first/last day. The rooms are beautiful, the pool is nice and the service is amazing. I need to say a special thanks to the staff that helped me a lot after I suddenly fell sick a few hours before my flight, after we've already checked out. They gave us a room, helped organize a doctor and medicine and they are the only reason I somehow managed to get on a flight back home in time and not lose hundreds of euros.

We have had a great stay, the room is nice and staff is very friendly. Very big and good beds.

It was a shame there was noise from the train very close to the room, we woke up from the noise during night and very early in the morning despite earplugs. Not something the staff could help us with of course, besides this everything was fine

We had a pleasant stay at the Ayur Ayur resort in Negombo. One of the biggest pluses for us was the option for early check-in since our flight arrived very early in the morning. The room was decent and had a desk for us to work remotely. The WiFi was also reliable, which was important for us. The pool was nice, although it wasn't as secluded as the pictures made it seem. Dinner at the in-house restaurant was fine and breakfast offered a great variety of options.

One of the disappointments during our stay was that a pedicure, which was listed as an option, was unavailable. Additionally, while the breakfast had a good variety, some of the dishes weren't the most tasty.

It’s is surrounded by nature, greens, it’s amazing. The bedroom is small but does the job. You get everything you need, comfortable bed with mosquito net, tv, AC and ventilator. Bathroom is clean comes with toiletries. Shout out to the staff for being so serious, and keeping my whole camera set safe with them for 1 week, after I forgot it inside the drivers car (my whole camera set and microphones worth 2k$). Huge thank you to Placidus and Ayur Ayur team.

The breakfast is good but not enough I would say. We asked for more eggs and bread. “The first day it was complimentary”- as the lady told us, the next day they wanted to charge for the extra eggs almost 2$ / egg. Not cool. Any other hotels we’ve been and asked for more eggs, they brought without any problem.

Ruben, the manager was very very friendly and accommodating. I went with my sister and he kept ensuring that we were having a great time. The room was beautiful and clean and the staff were so kind. They were helpful in getting us a taxi back to colombo. The massage was soooo good and relaxing. Thank you so much, we want to come again!

We think that the 2 hour treatment was cut short slightly on both days. My sister and I Both noticed that we were not given the full 2 hours...having said that, the time we did get was Very relaxing.

Definitely the staff is the most valuable assets of this resort. We have been there for 2 weeks ayurveda program and it was the best one out of the six we have had so far. Our ayurveda doctor Nuwan de Zoysa took very professional care of me and my friend and recommended the treatments that we really needed. Our therapists Dulani and Pedipica are the champions of the world in ayurvedic massage where not only the techinque matters. Also yoga and meditation with Wijitha was a personalised therapy which we have not been able to experience in the other ayurveda resorts we had been to before. Fantastic, very tasty food in the restaurant served by Anula and Danuka together with their hearts on the tray and smile on their faces. Both the manager and his assistant Mr. Ruben were very helpful with everything we needed - shopping, loundry, transfers, tuk-tuk, e.t.c. We really loved them as they make the stay fantastic for every guest in Ayur Ayur. Thank you soooo much❤️

For a longer stay the only disadvantage is the distance to the beach. Nothing else.

The best thing about the stay was the people! Manager Rueben and team made sure that we had the most comfortable stay. Rueben took care of our baby when we were having breakfast and that was really cool. The room was very clean and well maintained. Special thanks to Dhanushka for promptly arranging a baby cot for our baby filled with few soft toys for her to play. When we left, we missed to take some of our stuff from the room but Dhanushka found them during her cleaning and rushed downstairs to give them to us before we left. The restaurant food was great and the pool was awesome. The sweet girl in the restaurant took care of our baby for a while when we were busy with some things. We had a warm welcome by Mallika in the reception and she was very helpful all the time. The Ayurvedic massage was also very relaxing. PS : Hope I got the names correct :)

Nothing I can think of

The location, the peaceful setting of the resort and the facilities were fantastic. It was also clean and comfy and made for a very restful i night long getaway. It is also safe, and very accommodating.

We ordered dinner and we did not like the food. The spring rolls were ice cold and we had to get them microwaved, but we had to wait for at least 10 minutes before a staff member responded. The fried rice was also sweet. Everything else was perfect. Just the food and the restaurant service can be improved.

We had a wonderful time at Ayur Ayur Resort & Ayurveda Retreat. Its location near Negombo town made it easily accessible, and the atmosphere was peaceful and serene. We booked a room with a balcony. Our room and washroom were spotlessly clean, and the bed was incredibly comfortable. We were pleased to find that wifi was readily available. The staff at the resort was friendly and accommodating, and the proximity to Browns Beach was a real bonus. We could either opt to have our meals at the resort or explore the many restaurants in the area. The breakfast, a mix of English and Sinhala dishes, was particularly enjoyable. The property also had a book cupboard and offered board games such as carom and checkers, which we had a great time playing during our stay. Overall, we found Ayur Ayur Resort & Ayurveda Retreat to be great value for money and would highly recommend it.

Good location, walking distance (you can also use TUK TUK) from the beach and shops. Various massages are available at the hotel. Hotel territory clean, pool for swimming. The room is spacious and has everything you need, a large bed, TV, shower, balcony. Good breakfast, lunch and dinner. If you don't like spicy food, you must say so and your wish will be fulfilled. We ordered food without curry, pepper, etc., we wanted to season the food only with salt. All our wishes were fulfilled we asked for. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Good place to stay after or before taking the airplane from Colombo International Airport. A relatively short drive from the airport (depends on traffic 15-30 minutes).

The air conditioning could have been quieter. I didn't like the mosquitoes in the evening, but the hotel offered mosquito repellent. Everything else was OK.
