Lovely stay at Leighton Resort. The staff were welcoming, friendly and very helpful! They were very responsive to my request for an airport pick up and were ready waiting to pick me up from Colombo airport even after I had made an error with my flight details. At the hotel, I was treated to a welcome drink and helped to sort out a SIM card for such a good price. Because of my great experience, I booked another 2 nights at the end of my trip! When it was time to head to the airport, it was no problem for a drop off at midnight! I would recommend a stay here at the beginning/ end of your Sri Lankan trip :)

On arrival you're greeted by friendly staff, the reception and common area is spacious well decorated and is more than one could expect from a Hotel. I will repeat that the Staff specially Ayani and the young gentleman who work the front desk and even the owner is always around and always willing to assist in any way they can. The food they serve is delicious and made fresh, the pool is decently sized and the location is perfect with shops, restaurants and other amenities around and it's just a 5 minute walk from the lovely Negombo Beach.

On entering my room I found there were no amenities in the bathroom or the living space and I even though on booking.com the room was supposed to have a closet/wardrobe there isn't any! This was however quickly rectified when the young man who works there brought me all the amenities I needed and the rest of the stay was fine and catered for. I had to make do without a wardrobe but since I was on a short stay it was fine. Wifi here is my ONLY disappointment! It's almost non existent, I was on the second floor and got next to NO wifi at all, I had to depend on my phone hotspot for all my communication needs. And the TV in the room was Hilariously Tiny! 😂 Lastly, the water pressure from the shower and other toilet faucets is very very weak and low.

Clean and enjoyable place. Good AC and comfy bed! Good breakfast and very nice staff!

Only minus is that we waited our driver over than hour at the airport, but it was free pick up 👍

The rooms were very clean, the pool and breakfast were both great. The staff were lovely and picked us up very late at night despite delays to both our flight and picking up our bags. It was only a short walk down to the beach and a nice outdoor market for dinner.

The hot water was a little unreliable, although it wasn't a huge issue for us in a hot country. The beds are a little basic and creaked whenever you moved even a little bit.

I really liked my two night stay here. Room was large with nice outlook iof palm trees. Hot water and Aircon worked. There was a kettle. Room was very clean. The staff were fantastic.. friendly helpful and organised. The free airport shuttle was completely on time. The breakfasts were really really good..one western one Sri Lankan.. delicious. Location is close to main beach street, shops, cafes etc

it is located in a walkable area. i was able to walk to the beach, restaurants, and shops. the was a variety of activities available. tuktuks were readily available. it was also close to the airport.

the on-site restaurant wasn't open often. some foods also weren't available. the staff recommended places to try that were in walking distance.

The room was quiet, spacious and clean; the bed was very comfortable; the bathroom was clean; the view from the balcony was pleasant (overlooking the pool and green area); the pool was perfect (as sea conditions are not always ok in September); and the staff were friendly and very helpful. Great location: few meters away from the beach and Main Street (restaurants, cafes, shops), a short Tuk Tuk ride away from Negombo (market, bus station, etc), and not far from the airport. Perfect spot if you are looking for somewhere to stay on arrival or just before departure from Colombo airport. The hotel offers airport shuttle service to the airport. Excellent value for money,

The rooms are big, clean and we were in luck to get a room with pool view. The staff is very friendly, you can sit by the pool and order beverages and they also serve delicious breakfast/lunch. The pool water is chilly, which is a great escape from the heat during the day. The location is also nice, close to bars and restaurant and to Colombo beach. They also offer free airport transfer.

The bed was a little wobbly but not a deal breaker.

Perfect transit hotel! I was here for 1 night, before my flight home and the hotel was perfect for it. Airport shuttle is for free which is great and was on time in the morning. Shower was great, hot shower, and location was nice 1-2 minutes walking distance to the Main Street with lots of Restaurants, bars, clubs etc. staff was soooo friendly and helpful! I can really recommend this hotel.

We loved in here, the room was spacious and nice hot water shower, the swimming pool is lovely to go in after walking about in the heat as it’s mostly shaded so it keeps cool, very refreshing, would defo stay here again the staff are so lovely and helpful!!
