I had a very pleasant stay at this hotel. The location is very convenient for exploring Gothenburg. The room was clean and comfortable, and the staff were always friendly and welcoming. Breakfast was a real highlight: a wide variety of options including many vegetarian and gluten-free choices. The fluffy pancakes were especially delicious! I also appreciated the peaceful, quiet atmosphere, which made it easy to relax. Unfortunately, I didn’t get a chance to try the sauna this time, but I hope to experience it on my next visit. :)

The room could use better lighting, as it felt a bit dim even with the lamps turned on.

For us the hotel's location was great - it wasn't right in the center of town but still close enough that you could walk there in 20 minutes. Also a 20 minute walk to Liseberg. They offer parking spots in the courtyard and a garage (both with extra fees), which was a great for us to have. We also really enjoyed being able to play pool and ping pong in the basement. As a family of 4 we booked a family room which was of great size and overall comfortable.

The main thing I wasn't so happy about was the noise. Having read about this in other reviews I specifically asked twice for a quiet room (and was told that they would do their best), as this was what management had recommended to do in previous bookings. Unfortunately we still received a room facing the highway. I totally understand if there are no family rooms not facing the highway of if it's very unlikely to receive such a room ... but then previous answers to comments on this platform shouldn't be "talk to us ahead of time and we will make this work". Overall, this is a minor issue though. I would still stay at this hotel anytime again and would recommend it.

The location is excellent, close to the main roads and public transport links. Walking distance to the city centre, restaurants, bars, sports ground, etc. The staff were very friendly and approachable, and really helpful when we needed their assistance. The room was a good size, well decorated and comfortable. It was very quiet during the night and we had two good nights of sleep. The breakfast selection was great and varied, and everything was plentiful. Parking was paid for via an app, there were plenty of spaces available, and prices were reasonable for a city centre. Garage parking and electric car charging is available on a limited basis.

Nothing, everything was great and we were very happy with our stay.

Seemed like a recently refurbished hotel and had comfortable rooms and a good quality breakfast.

Location wasn’t that great, very localised area which wouldn’t suit everyone but we didn’t mind it, experienced local culture and area, it’s a good 20 minutes walk to the City, I wouldn’t class it as a City Centre hotel personally, but Booking.com do. When we checked in the hotel staff were very friendly but one criticism was we weren’t reminded / told about the hotel facilities only the breakfast times, it’s got a games room and Sauna but they don’t inform you of that on arrival which I think they should, but the staff were great otherwise and very friendly.

The hotel is excellent for solo and couple stays. It is very near to bus stand which connects all routes of Gothenburg. The rooms are ample sized with good ventilation. 👍 The breakfast is super with many choices. The staff is quite nice, helpful and caring. I also got an umbrella 🌂 during rainy day. That was kind of them. The hotel is also peaceful ✌️ and has a gym, sauna and a laundry room. I am glad that I could find this property The bed was clean and there was ample heating making it a cosy stay.

May be they can keep couple of warm food options and refill tea/ coffee regularly in the room. The toiletries can also improve.

This place is great and very affordable. We were staying there for a weekend and everything was on point. Room is spacious, clean and quiet. They have delicious breakfast with wide variety of choices for everyone. Regular, vegetarian, vegan, gluten free, they aknowledge your every need. You have plenty of time for breakfast, especially during the weekend when the restaurant is open until noon. They also take care of your need for entertainment and spa with free of charge pool/table tennis room and sauna. I highly recommend this hotel.

The room, breakfast, and the overall facilities were very satisfactory! The number of options in particular on the breakfast was great, my girlfriend is Gluten intolerant and we found it was great you provided quite a few gluten free alternatives, as this is typically hard to come by when staying somewhere.

The only comment was that we used the Sauna on both Friday and Saturday, and the Sauna had not seemed to be cleaned very well overnight. As there were used glasses and a drink can still there from the day before, this is the only negative comment though!

The hotel is quite nice. Comfortable beds, big TV, small but nice bathroom. Tasty breakfast and a free parking spot. The hotel is dog friendly (dog fee is 100 SEK but the hotel does not even provide a bowl for the dog). The staff is really nice and helpful l though!

Dark rooms, almost no day light (dark paint on the walls and very tall trees right in front of the windows). Stronger light bulbs needed as the ones that are used now do not give enough light. The room was quite warm too (hot radiator in the bathroom during summer...) and there's no AC, neither a fan in the room. Opening a window means you have to listen to the sounds of the cars (and there's a busy street next to the hotel).

Our second visit to Garda Hotel. After the renovation, the rooms are amazing! The terrace is very pleasant, and the staff is friendly. Everything was perfect. The only thing I might mention is that it would be nice to have a slightly wider selection at breakfast for people with allergies (in my case, milk). But that’s not a big issue — I still had more than enough to eat. Many thanks, and I hope we’ll be back again!

Every time we visit Gothenburg, we always stay here. It is a very good cost benefit option. The facilities are comfortable and clean. The staff is always friendly and helpful. The rooms have a good size and are well decorated. It is equipped with all essential things you will need. Good breakfast too!

Unfortunately, now you have to pay for parking, but it is an okay price. We don't mind the walking, but the main attractions are usually 30-35 min walk from the hotel.
