The hotel has a top location right next to the lift. Makes it easy if you have a lot of luggage. Rooms are quiet and comfortable, nothing to complain, and some have a great view. Food was ok, nothing spectacular but fine. The lady in the restaurant was very friendly (working morning and afternoon).

What could have been improved was communication. On the confirmation it mentioned check-in is from 3 pm to 5 pm. I wrote to the hotel that I would be arriving around 6 pm. Never got a response and when I arrived there was no-one at the front desk and people in restaurant seemed to have no knowledge (or approval to act) on hotel related topics. Eventually I found an envelope on the desk with my name on it and room key, took it and found the room myself (another guest had done the same). Even stranger was that later in the evening there was a couple at the restaurant who wanted to book and stay for the night. Again, there was no-one in reception, no-one answered the hotel number and staff at restaurant were not able to help them, even though there were rooms available.

The hotel has a really lovely view from many of the rooms, the restaurant and the terrace. The breakfast food was good and plentiful. They had cold meats, cheeses, a variety of breads, fruit, hard boiled eggs, etc. and an excellent coffee machine. The rooms are not very large, but equipped well and very clean. There is a lift to the various floors. If you remember to park your car near the Stechelberg station and take that train up to the hotel, you will end up right next to the hotel, no walking required. Unfortunately, we did not read this beforehand and parked at the Lauterbrunnen station. This takes you to the other end of Mürren, so we ended up dragging our suitcases in a 12 minute walk. Lesson learned!

Would have been nice to have more warm food at breakfast (e.g. scrambled eggs, bacon) and a flask for water + drinking glasses in the room. No need for bottled water as the tap water was obviously great. Also, a tea kettle + tea/coffee bags in the room would be very much appreciated, especially in the "superior" rooms. Relatively minor points, we enjoyed our stay and would be happy to come back.

Excellent location, beautiful view of majestic mountains. Accommodation, very comfortable the only thing I wasn’t very happy about the shower stall was small, I managed it but this is a minor issue. Breakfast was very good and the staff very courteous special Jacky. We also had our dinner at the hotel, very good selection with large portions For me it was a little too much but delicious. I will stay again if I plan for another trip to Murren.

Avery thing was good.

Our room was very comfortable with 2 chairs, a balcony, and a beautiful view of the mountains (when the clouds cleared!) The staff was very pleasant, especially the busy, but friendly wait staff. There is a simple breakfast and a small dining and bar area where we ate one evening. We also had a pleasant lunch on the deck that boasts a great view. We were forewarned that there is major construction occurring on the gondola station right next to the hotel. Our room was right next to it, work started at 730 and we could hear men's voices thru our open window. It didn't bother us as we are early risers, were out and about all day, and having the gondola so close was very convenient.

It would be nice, and I think there was room, to have two spots to set an open suitcase.

Beautiful location

Both myself and the person behind me in line at checkout were told we had not prepaid when we actually had. Hostess could not make our card work and 'required' one of us to stay behind while the other went up the road to a cash machine as if we would leave without paying. Payment had to be in Swiss francs. The prepayment had worked, and at first they wanted us to dispute it with the credit card company. Then she tried to give back the cash we had just paid 11 € to convert to Swiss francs, and would have had to pay again to convert back since we were leaving Switzerland. Hostess treated us as if we had done something wrong when they had our payment all along. Same thing happened to person behind me in line, and hostess denied it.

The facilities were great, I had a big room with a lovely bathroom, comfy bed and my balcony had a view of the Jungfrau. The hotel was really quiet which is a priority for me in terms of a good night's sleep. Breakfast was great and also had dinner one night in the hotel which was delicious. I'd also recommend the Singaporean restaurant on the main street, eat in or take away. It's run by a lovely couple and the food is always excellent. We always eat here when we're in Murren.

Location, restaurant terrace, but not choice of food even the menu Fächers no fish or chicken and it’s in my view super basic, but there are many restaurants around.. The value for money compared to other hotels I saw on booking. The overnight prices were much higher The staff super friendly and helpful

The breakfast is very basic & there was a bit of salmon, which finished 1.5h before closing the buffet exactly when we arrived. We asked for refill as we don’t eat meat and we’re told that the amount was pre given and there is no refill. Only vegetable was tomatoes.. I don’t eat cheese either, so my option for food was a boiled egg and some tomatoes as I don’t eat Milch ( so no Joghurt, Müsli etc..) gluten-free is not an option too.. I didn’t see any lactose free Milch, but I didn’t ask. Fruits were apples and oranges plus ready fruit salad I guess from the can. Our room was a bit loud as it was first floor and we heard ppl passing on the street and ppl going past on the stairs. The construction site next to the hotel might be a problem, but we were there over the weekend.

Extremely close to the gondola - super easy to get to the slopes. The food at the restaurant was very good too. We tried a couple other restaurants but came back to this.

Our room was too hot for comfort and the radiator's knob would not fully turn it off. That meant lack of sleep sadly until we decided to leave the window open which helped, bu then it translated into loud building works noise from very early in the morning.

Breakfast was very good. We were offered the usual buffet items but occasionally an extra goodie was available (like smoked salmon). We ae dinner at the hotel twice and the food was excellent.

Our room was on the lower level of the hotel (still above the street), and was a little small. It was a lovely setting and the friendly staff were excellent.

Most amazing view of snowy mountains, beautiful valley below, listening to and watching avalanches in the distance, the charming town of Mürren complete with a light sprinkling of snow before bed. Friendly, helpful staff. It was the best birthday ever as we were greeted for our dinner reservation with complimentary champagne, confetti, & Happy Birthday napkins. Truly a magical experience!
