This small boutique hotel is perfectly located in quiet Iseltwald with a fantastic view of the mountains and peninsula. We spent most of our time hiking and sightseeing in the area during the day. The hotel is easiest to reach by car and has free parking. It is 15 min from Interlaken. The hotel provides a pass for the bus but we didn't use it. It does require a short walk to where the bus comes. In the morning and late evening, we enjoyed sitting on the balcony or out on the lakeside terrace with beautiful flowers and comfortable furniture. Good breakfast and very responsive manager.

Room is pretty small, but has a wardrobe for luggage/clothes which was very helpful.

Absolutely loved our stay here… Lakeside location is idilic, if you’re staying here then I urge you to book with a balcony and lake view… so peaceful. The breakfast was superb with so much choice. We found it a little late in starting (8.00) but we had good coffee in the room (which was also replenished) I tried to see if there was a fridge advertised - which I couldn’t see. But there is one… which was good for a few essentials (and beer!) I’ve seen people complain that there is no ‘service’ at the hotel, other than at breakfast. What do you need? What’s the point in having someone sat at reception all day for the sake of it? The man/owner was never far away and was super friendly whenever we say him nearby

The location couldn't have been better. Perched right on the lake with a private terrace to relax on in the evening or to launch yourself from for an early morning pre-breakfast swim.Breakfast was lovely with usual continental style cereal/fruit and pastries, and lovely scrambled eggs. Staff were very relaxed, friendly and helpful. A delightful place to stay

It could do with air conditioning in the rooms, There were 2 fans provided which helped It was a bit of a heatwave when we stayed but if the region regularly hits 30 degrees in summer this would be an excellent addition.

- You can't ask for a better location than this one.. one night stay at iseltwalt is perfect to enjoy the amazing views of the mountains, lake and the pictoresque houses. - Staff extremely friendly and helpful, there was a snowstorm that lasted for 12 hours and they allowed us to do a late checkout without additional charge, really appreciate it. - Room small but very cozy with comfortables and clean beds - Very big balcony with an amazing view - Parking included 😀

There was really nothing standing out as bad at all but maybe one thing that might had improved the experience would be: - Some dinner options, snack bar or vending machine would help a lot as normally everything closes early and being encountered by heavy rain and snow during night, we couldn't find food anywhere bur we were very lucky that we bought some snacks in the supermarket, but without that, we would probably have slept that night without any food at all.

Wonderful location, picturesque, beautiful lakeside spot situated in a quaint and quiet village. The views from the balcony are magnificent!! Adrian and staff were welcoming, helpful and always friendly. The room was extremely clean, well thought out and tastefully decorated. Great shower! Fabulous breakfast! The addition of a kettle and coffee machine in the room was great, with the use of a microwave and fridge so good for travellers if they wish to have a cuppa. Great parking available. Only a short walk from bus stop or ferry port.

Love the breathtaking view right in front of the hotel and our balconies. Breakfast was great! We had checked in quite late and no one manned the reception but clear and concise instructions on check-in were given ample time beforehand. Netflix was a bonus.

To provide a lift for the luggages would have been most helpful. Otherwise it was an unassuming, clean and thoughtful property (including providing bread to feed ducks) to stay for a couple of nights in this beautiful place of Iseltward

The hotel and it's location is absolutely stunning. I can't express how serene, calm amd captivating this hotel was. The inside was sooo cosy & welcoming from the minute you walked in. We had a family room which had loads of space, it even had a 4 person table and chairs inside. The room was decorated beautifully, immaculately clean & the free Netflix was a welcome bonus. I have to say the best part of this stay for us was at breakfast time, when not only do you get to meet the hotel owners/hosts who are so welcoming, polite and friendly, but you could eat your breakfast looking out onto the lake. The breakfast itself was superb. Fresh, delicious and with lots of choices. The hotel was also very dog friendly, they particularly made a fuss of our dog. Parking was free, plentiful and right outside (you also get given a free bus pass to use the local bus services which was very handy) and the hotel terrace was another lovely place to sit and take in the stunning scenary. I wouldnt hesitate to come back, it really was the highlight of our whole holiday.

- The shower cabin has a curtain which we didn't necessarily enjoy - An insect shield would be really useful to keep the windows open (since there's no AC unit)

Iseltwald itself is a beautiful little town, and the hotel is located near the end of the village at the lakeside. The location is absolutely beautiful and the private dock of the hotel made for great swimming/chilling! Breakfast was very varied and tasty. The parking spots of the hotel very convenient. The beds super comfortable. Our balcony with lakeview was the cherry on top.

Honestly only a minor thing, but good to mention for awareness: the hotel is typically Swiss with wooden structures and balconies etc. and this made we heard our upstairs neighbors walking around. Wouldn't call it noisy, but you're aware of the surrounding hotelrooms.

The staff were lovely and very accommodating to any little extras or questions we had. Bedroom was a little smaller than we had expected but we were 4 adults in a family room and we managed. Location was wonderful and within walking distance to the boat port and bus pickup. We had a rental car and this was useful to visit neighbouring Grindelwald and Interlaken as using the ferry boats for all these trips would have been very expensive. Not really many choices of places to go in the evening for a drink or meal if walking but the breakfast in the hotel was excellent and a huge choice - we loved it! I can highly recommend this hotel for value for money, comfort, cleanliness and location. I would definitely stay here again and recommend to friends.

A very minor issue but there wasn't enough toilet paper for a family room on arrival but this was quickly rectified. The bed was a little hard but that's just my preference and it wouldn't put me off staying again.
