The room was functional, of reasonable size. I like that the way beds are made in Switzerland (at least where I stayed), the blanket not tucked in. Breakfast was good, but starting at 8.00, however nice packed breakfast was provided on request when I wanted to leave earlier. I opted for a more economic room, so the view was not on mountains, but on a spring fresh green slope. The location is just excellent between the small train station and the cable. Overall I found Murren to be more charming, with better views and options for walks in comparison to alternatives. Quiet season in spring means that some transportation connections and services are not available (closed restaurants, cable and railway in maintenance, attractions in reconstruction), worse yet, many walking trails are still closed in early May due to lingering snow, but I really prefer fewer people around and no waiting lines. Even so there was plenty of people for my taste, I thing during high season I would enjoy the visit much less.

Staying in Murren adds an hour or more of travel time if you want to go anywhere else. My plan was to go there and stay there, doing a lot of walks, but the spring weather made corrections with rain and fog. Luckily I had Swiss Travel Pass, so I could be very flexible with my travel. When I saw that weather was going to go bad during my stay, I rushed to Murren for the good weather days, and then when it was raining I went to Interlaken for boat trips and even to Bern. The Swiss public transportation connections are very good, but I was coming back to Murren close to last cable trips at 22 or 23 if full darkness. However being up there in mountains was still the best part of my trip.

An absolutely wonderful hotel — not just because of its great location, cleanliness, and stunning views from the windows, but above all because of its highly professional staff. I experienced the fastest check-in of my entire travel career: I simply said my name, and I was handed the room key — no prepayment, no passport number check, no forms to fill out, no credit card details. This immediately created a wow effect, and everything else lived up to that first impression. I wholeheartedly recommend this hotel. Many thanks to the staff — you are truly amazing!

I didn't like that I spent only one night in this splendid hotel, instead of a weak or even a month.🙂

The hotel was in the middle of Murren which was a great location. It's about a 10 minute walk to the train station. Walking to the hotel from the train station is uphill a little but nothing bad. It's a few minutes from the Allmendhubel funicular. In fact, the view from my window faced the funicular so it was fun being able to see it go up and down from my room. Breakfast was fantastic. It was a great spread of good food. The bed was huge and comfortable. It was a great stay and look forward to coming back!

The room was a little warm at times. Also, the wifi was not the greatest. Other than those things, everything was great! Highly recommend!

This is my favorite hotel in Murren. Staff is always super friendly--can drop or leave your luggage to go hike. They even prepared a boxed lunch for us on the day we checked out because we were leaving at 5am. We slept amazingly well here. Breakfast is very good with a wide selection of meats/cheeses, eggs and bacon, yogurt, etc. The room was big enough with great views. Hot shower, good wifi, huge lounge room to do work with great views, nice patio for drinks and snacks. Thanks for another great stay!

We found the apartment in the lodge to be perfectly suited for our family. We appreciated the space and access to laundry. The breakfast was average, but very convenient to get us moving in the morning. We loved the outdoor seating and view from our apartment.

We had a family member unexpectedly able to join us for two nights of our stay. We informed the staff and were charged an additional $100 per night. We thought that was an excessive cost to join us in an apartment we had already reserved.

Perfect location on a quite idyllic street in the less crowded part of Murren. It was an easy walk from the train station and right across from a great coffee shop (InSport). You also got a free pass to swim in the community center pool next door. There is also a self service laundromat right down the street which is quite convenient. The room was perfectly clean, quiet, and comfortable. The views were amazing and you could open the windows for fresh Swiss air and the sound of birds and cow bells.

I loved it. The room was clean. It was a little hot at night but I was able to open the window to let in fresh air. So the room was comfortable for me. I loved the Mountain View that I had. I also had my laundry done. I received my clothes clean. And nicely folded. The breakfast every morning was good with my latte that the staff made for me. The staff is so kind and very helpful.

Although I like having the window open at night. I would have liked to have a portable fan.

The view is absolutely stunning! The apartment we stayed in had plenty of space 3 bedrooms 3 bathrooms.

The service in the restaurant for breakfast was not good. We requested gluten free bread for two people two weeks in advance, and then reminded every day while we were there. And for the last breakfast they told us they only have one bun left… they also took 20 min to bring GF bread to us. And we had to chase them to ask for coffee.

We loved the location. It’s fairly close from the train station coming in and out of town. Very close to the other gondola’s to other areas on the mountain. It’s quiet as well. Loved that!

There is no coffee or tea pot in the room. None in the lobby either. They do have breakfast but would love it in the room. The beds are very hard. Felt like we were sleeping on the floor. The bathroom also did t have enough body wash and the room was hot and stuffy

This is an outstanding hotel. It is located just off the main street in Murren. It is quiet and has beautiful views. The hotel is close to the Murren Bahnhof Railway station, which takes you to Lauterbrunnen. The staff is very friendly. I reached early in the morning from Gimmelwald. I was hoping to drop off my bag and go hiking. Instead, the front desk clerk told me I would get the room if I waited for half an hour. The restaurant serves a fantastic breakfast, which was included in the hotel charges. The dinner menu is extensive and very good.
