From the moment we arrived, the staff made us feel welcome and cared for. Check-in was smooth and friendly, and we immediately noticed how clean and well-maintained everything was. The room was spacious, comfortable, and offered all the little touches that make a big difference – from fresh linens to thoughtful amenities. Breakfast was excellent, with a wide variety of fresh and delicious options to start the day. The location was perfect for exploring the area, yet quiet enough to relax in the evenings. What stood out most was the genuine hospitality – every member of the team went above and beyond to make sure we enjoyed our stay. We left with great memories and will definitely return on our next trip.

I can’t express how grateful I am to Marco at Hotel Klein Matterhorn. After making the difficult decision not to continue my hike, I found myself without accommodation, and even though the hotel was fully booked, Marco went above and beyond to help me. He made countless calls to find me a place to stay, all with genuine care and kindness. His calm, thoughtful support meant the world to me during a really vulnerable moment. Not only is Marco incredibly kind, he’s also an amazing entertainer! He brings so much warmth and life to the hotel. All the staff were truly wonderful, welcoming, helpful, and full of heart. The hotel has a beautiful energy, and I felt genuinely cared for. Thank you so much for everything. I’ll never forget your kindness and the joyful spirit you bring to this special place.

We stayed at Hotel Klein Matterhorn and absolutely loved it! We had a spacious 2-bedroom apartment with a big bathroom, a separate toilet, and a large kitchen that had everything we needed — including a fridge. The apartment was spotless, and the beds were extremely comfortable. Honestly, it was the best night’s sleep I’ve had during our 8 days in Switzerland! The owner was such a wonderful person. He personally showed us our apartment and explained everything clearly. The service felt warm and welcoming throughout our stay. We also appreciated the free parking and free WiFi. The hotel is conveniently located right next to the Randa train station, which made visiting Zermatt so easy. We took the train from Randa to Zermatt, and the owner even allowed us to leave our car parked at the hotel for free until we returned in the afternoon — such a kind gesture! On top of all that, our apartment had amazing mountain views, which made our stay even more memorable. Overall, we couldn’t have been happier. We will return and highly recommend this place to anyone visiting the area.

I loved staying in hotel Klein Matterhorn. The owner(?) Came outside looking for us when the address in booking.com was incorrect. The place is directly next to the train station (but somehow the train is extremely quiet and does not bother you at night) unfortunately there are NO food places in randa (this isnt an exaggeration) BUT the hotel went above and beyond to make us dinner so we didn't have to go back to zermatt. And that dinner... the best dinner I had in switzerland. A true homecooked meal, well appreciated and a very fair price. It wasn't fancy but it was extremely flavorful. Breakfast was also lovely and included boiled eggs (something most hotels seemed to not have) I'd come back just to eat dinner there more often! Have an open mind to this place and you will be pleasantly surprised.

So much here to say! Upon arrival the very generous host presented us with an upgrade to our room, which gave us a beautiful view of the mountains. He took time to explain the local attraction, the Charles Kuonen Suspension Bridge, and that we should do it the next day, as it was after 15:00 when we arrived. We were shown to our accommodations and told about the dinner options for the evening. At dinner we were serenaded by Marco (the owner), who is an experienced musician, playing two keyboards and a trumpet. He was extremely entertaining! Marco shared a drink with us and chatted with us until we were ready for bed. Breakfast was a lovely buffet with all the traditional items. We were able to check out and leave our backpacks with reception while we took our hike. There was an additional staff who was also very lovely. The hotel was very close to the bus/train station and the entrance to the hike. There seemed to be a lot of locals who came to the restaurant for dinner as well as some travelers. We very much enjoyed our stay, Marco. We will remember you!

Perfect Budget accomodation. Perfect if skiing in Zermatt like we were, the train is literally less than a minute walk away. I wear ear plugs regardless however friend didn’t complain about any train noise. We had our own ski gear so it was such a breeze getting to Zermatt with the train so close. Host was very friendly and kind, made sure check in was smooth, also offered cheaper parking after we checked out whilst we were skiing. I loved how dark the room was after closing the shutters and also the shower water pressure was incredible!! Wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again.

Klein Matterhorn was fantastic! You can wake up every morning staring at the beautiful Swiss alps that surround the property. The entire experience is wonderful as the host will guide you through your stay and answer any questions that you might have. My buddy and I came for a ski trip and were looking for a place more affordable than the lodging in Zermatt. It was perfect as Randa is located only a 15 minute train ride away. We even spent one of the nights sharing a beer with some of the locals in Randa who shared their stories of summiting the Matterhorn. Overall 10/10 experience.

The Hotel owner/manager was friendly and welcoming. There was always individual attention and staff were helpful and prepared to go the "extra mile". The rooms were clean and very well appointed with Miele appliances in the kitchen area if you wanted to self cater. The hotel is the perfect location if you want to walk to the Charles Kuonen Suspension Bridge - the first sign post for the walk is right outside. (walk not to be missed) With this hotel the value for money is exceptional.

The hotel was clean and easy to find, conveniently located right by the train station. Even though the train was nearby, it didn’t bother us at all—you could barely hear it! The owner was incredibly polite and helpful, giving us great information about the area. It’s also very close to Zermatt, which was a bonus. We only stayed for one night before catching the Glacier Express early in the morning, and it was the great place for our short stay!

We are very impressed with this hotel. I would give 20 out of 10 stars if possible. Our car broke down 5 minutes from the hotel because of the heavy snow. The manager, Marco, offered to transport everyone from the broken down car. The towing company took our car to the repair shop 30 minutes from the hotel. Marco welcomed us in (our group of 5) like a family and helped arrange taxi service during our stays. He offered to call up the car repair shop to check the repair status. He also arranged for us to stay an additional night because the car was not ready and got us a car service to transport us to the repair shop when we departed. The rooms were comfortable. The 5 of us stayed on the top floor with common seating area and spacious full featured kitchen. There were stunning views from the rooms and the kitchen. In conclusion, when our car broke down in the middle of nowhere and felt freightened. Marco, Roland and Amal comforted us with the highest level of hospitality and warm delicious foods. The whole crews kept asking whether we were satisfied everyday. We will definitely come back and recommend Klein Matterhorn Hotel in Randa to our friends and family.
