We chose the hotel primarily because of the design and the location - and everything was just as we expected. The fifa museum is right next door and definitely a must visit on your trip to Zurich. The design was impeccable - from rooms to lobby - everything was stylish and pleasing. Hamid and other members of the hotel team were always friendly and helpful. And yes, the bed was just Royal! Not just for us, but also for our son - the bedsheets for the baby cot were amazing. Little details that really matter.

The breakfast was very poor, there was a coffee machine and a tiny tiny buffet with croissants and yoghurts. Didn’t really understand why there was no choice of hot options such as omelettes, charcuterie, etc. tried to order something extra from the waiters but they never came. Also it was quite sad that the bar didn’t work in the evenings when we came for drinks. Such a beautiful renovation of the restaurant and bar has been made and is totally underused. Could be a great spot for drinks in such ambience. The Studio room we booked was beautiful but note that it’s very tiny. Better to book a bigger room if you are traveling with a family. Also no amenities such as toothbrushes or slippers in the room but that’s a minor thing.

The location was perfect as I was working at the Museum Rietberg, just 10 minutes walk away. The proximity to the station is excellent too and easy to get to the centre or to the airport. I loved the room and felt completely relaxed and at home. The blackout curtains, lack of noise though good insulation and soft fabrics were all excellent, plus the balcony and sitting space. One of the most comfortable city hotels I've been in.

But, one major problem was the lack of control over the room temperature. It meant the room stayed the same temperature at night as during the day, and as is well known, for good sleep a room needs to be cooler. I mentioned this twice to staff at the desk. They were apologetic and immediately offered me a fan. But I did not want to sleep with a fan on all night in the winter. This is a great shame in rooms of such a good standard, and sadly, the heat woke me up a lot in the night.

We had a great stay at this hotel in Zurich. It was very clean and the location was incredibly convenient — just steps from public transit, which made getting around the city super easy. The staff were all very friendly and went out of their way to help us, especially when it came to giving clear instructions for getting to the airport and storing our luggage after check-out due to our late flight. Zurich itself was a highlight — the city is beautiful, and everyone we met was so welcoming and helpful. We also took a couple of train trips into the mountains, which were absolutely breathtaking.

The room itself was a bit on the small side, but the bed was very comfortable and the bathroom was spacious and modern.

Amazing location. FIFA hotel across the road. Enge train station directly in front of hotel. The tram also stops in front of the hotel and no 5 tram goes to the lake and to the old town, but it is only a 10 minute walk from the hotel. The bedding was luxurious with very comfortable pillows and down duvets. We had a kitchenette in our Locke Suite with a fridge/dishwasher/coffee maker/induction hob and kettle: brilliant. We also loved having a bath in the bathroom. Nothing was any trouble for the staff who were all friendly and extremely helpful. A perfect location for a stay in Zurich.

Although we loved our stay, the hotel breakfast, which was included in the price, was basic for a four star hotel, with exactly the same options everyday. In hindsight, we would opt not to have breakfast, especially because we had a kitchenette, which would have made the stay better value! However, the breakfast staff were brilliant!

I had been to the hotel before and I was very satisfied then, this time I am a bit more critical, not because the hotel is not very good anymore, it is, but.... this time I found the room a bit small (although the room was offered so I did not have to wait to check-in, I was very early, and I accepted this room). The room gives a very welcome feeling, it is warmly designed, but maybe a bit cluttered, however, the beds are absolutely wonderful, somehow firm and soft.... , the shower is great, nice water pressure for the rain shower, and a separate hand shower. As earlier, the staff is absolutely top, friendly and helpful (and efficient), in this case one of them promised to get back to me if they would also have a room available the night before, and he did! No room for that night, but a nice and helpful message.

As mentioned, the room is a bit cluttered, everything is there, but it is a lot.... What I believe could be better is the side table next to the bed, very small and a lamp post in the middle of the small table, I also would like to have more general lightning in the bed area, for reading in bed the light is fine, but when curtains are closed, the area around the bed stays rather dark, maybe cosy but not always practical (i.a. packing or unpacking a suitcase).

Really nice location, so close to the city centre and train station! It’s a very cozy place, and the staff are super friendly, always happy to help and full of great recommendations. The interior is elegant and beautiful, which made our stay even more enjoyable.

Because the room features many textiles, it sometimes felt a bit dusty, despite being cleaned and well prepared for new guests, we did notice some dust in the corners, especially when the balcony door was open and the natural light filled the space. The room layout wasn’t entirely clear to me. There is plenty of space in the kitchen, but it wasn’t fully functional, as there was no sink. The bed area is quite compact, making it a little tricky to access the bed from both sides, and the bed itself is quite high, which the sheets made feel even higher. We also noticed the bathroom drain wasn’t working well. Sorry, but for this price I expected a little bit more.

Excellent location. Can get tram 6 or 7 located on the main shopping strip not far from train station that stops right outside hotel. Catch it on the right hand side of the road. Buy a 24 hour tram ticket to save money. Great breakfast and friendly staff.

Good location near tram and underground stops and only a few minutes walk from the lake and old town. Staff were friendly and helpful. Breakfast was good and the bar was pleasant for a cocktail in the evening.

The design of the room was odd; although it was quite a spacious room, a partition wall around the bed gave only a narrow gap between the bed and the wall and made the room feel smaller and darker. There was a rather old fashioned shelving unit containing the fridge which took up a lot of space. The seating area looked nice but was not very comfortable. The curtain extending around the wall was also a strange style choice.

The room was a bit larger than average hotels, cute table & seating area & good kitchen storage. The bed was glorious. lovely sheets & bedding. Lovely soft towels. A compact room but cleverly thought out. The Front desk staff really helpful, gentleman called Hasim I think!! So friendly & you were always greeted by first names & asked had you had a good day etc. If we needed information, they were always ready to assist! It really adds to your holiday experience.

The breakfast was rather dull, limited choice, virtually same every single day.....that could be improved! Breakfast room bit gloomy, if you were bit late down to breakfast...staff made it bit clear they wanted you gone pronto!!

Quiet and spacious room, with fridge and glasses, nice sitting area. Very comfortable bed. Excellent breakfast, especially the BircherMuesli, good value on inclusive B&B offer, but would be expensive otherwise. Good location opposite Enge station, trams right outside, quiet area, 20 mins walk to old town, 5 mins to lakeside. Very helpful staff.

Duvet too thick - no lightweight duvets. Bedside tables tiny. Restaurant was expensive, but there's a mini-market next door, and an excellent Thai restaurant around the corner.
