My room was very quiet and clean. Showers, AC, fridge, safe box, elevator, wifi, front desk worked well. The owner monitors everything and ensures her employees deliver. It is close to a lot of historic attractions and a good spot to explore the entire region. There are all sorts of public transportation within walking distance. Of course it's an affordable accommodation but you should expect good value for your money. THe owner is lovely and spent over an hour chatting with me about her life (because i'm the type who asks...). Do not expect a view... you are not paying for it! I booked only two nights and ended up extending it to almost a week.

You should download directions to the hotel before you arrive. Also google navigate the hotel area to understand where it is located in relation to the main road which runs parallel. Democracy Monument is your best reference (save a photo to show people, as most don't know it by name). Also bring the hotel's phone number with you. Anyways, the hotel's alleyway is a bit run down and a bit scary when you first arrive (especially after dark)... then you understand it's safe and just not pretty (that's my take). People laying on the may road will not harass you. They just sleep there.

Su, our host, was a bundle of energy and stories. She coordinated things very quickly for us - be it a last minute decision to do a river cruise or coming up with suggestions based on the level of our tiredness and what excited us. Our room was clean and always smelled good. Bathroom supplies loaded, towels changed, and a very cozy experience amidst the hot and humid conditions of Bangkok. This place is a haven and retreat from the heat - with good shade, greenery and easy access to different monuments and sights. Will always recommend this place.

Very lovely staff who are very helpful. Great location - you can easily reach Khao San, but there are also very neat local neighbourhoods by the small river that is close by. The room I stayed in was simple, but had a nice feeling and everything worked well. Great value for money, highly recommended

The location was a challenge at first for the taxi driver, it should have a crossroad name we know it’s a Tao San road. The rest is good, breakfast was excellent, we will recommend this place

Add crossroads name on the address, easier for the driver to find it on GPS.

A beautiful oasis in the heart of Bangkok, just a short distance from Khao San Road, the riverside and also a lot of the major temples and attractions! After some travel difficulties there was no problem extending my stay, and the owners were both exceptionally friendly and helpful. I can't stress enough how appreciated the relaxed, professional attitude they brought to our daily encounters was. As for the room, it was clean with a fridge, working ac and a shower with excellent water pressure (something I always appreciate away from home). Overall I would say I've found my hotel for all future excursions to Bangkok! This elegant gem has provided comfort, charm and new friends to share memories with. What more is there to say?

They upgraded my room to accommodate 3 people. To my surprise, the room is huge with small living room, small refrigerator and kitchen sink. It is a very helpful upgrade for me since I do need that equipment during my stay. I think this hotel is great option in this price range. The room is clean. The bathroom has bathtub and spacious, the water situation works well. The sheets are clean and the beds are good. The location of this hotel is easily found by grab or GPS.

Convenience stores and food stalls are far, you need to walk around 15-20 minutes.

This is a well-run three star hotel. The people running it clearly know what they’re doing. We arranged for a breakfast one morning there and it was fabulous. Bear in mind, this is NOT a five-star hotel and it doesn’t try to be. Excellent location - five minute walk to Khaosan Rd without actually being in Khaosan rd so it’s quiet.

Wi fi reception in the rooms. But that’s fairly typical of these two/three star places. No big deal if you have an eSim.

What I planned for days in a relaxed atmosphere when I checked in was fullfilled ... plenty of indoor plants created an ambience you were in nature resort ... there was NO hussle and buzzle like downtown hotels ... serene I liked it very much ... next visit to Bangkok for sure top of the list for the price Thank you Hotel Sourire ...
