Nice, large room with a decent entertainment set up via the smart TV. The building itself is very charming and historic, claiming to be the first private hotel in Chiang Mai. The adaptation into a modern hotel is quite cleverly done. The hotel's location is very handy as it's opposite Wat Phra Singh making it a good base for walking around the Old City. The staff were generally very friendly and accommodating.

While the historic nature of the building is responsible for its charm there are some downsides. There was not a great deal of sound isolation - either from the outside noise from the wat opposite - or the sound of other guests echoing off hard tiles and high ceilings. There was also little temperature insulation as we struggled to control the temperature in our room. The room was always either too cold or too hot as soon as the AC was turned off. To be fair, this may have been due to our incompetence with the climate controls. Not sure what can be done to address these factors without losing the charm of the historic hotel but it did affect our comfort and sleep quality at times.

The hotel staff welcome us with a drink, and we also had a welcome lunch . The staff were very helpful and provided information about the area to see & eat. The hotel also had guided towns on certain days ( we took the local markets & Temples tours, these were extremely informative) and provided shutter to the markets on Weekends. It is located in the old town and is quiet at night, restaurants tend to close earlier in this area, there are plenty of massage places that open late. On Sunday night there is a massive market that starts near the hotel. Morning breakfast is great, with a buffet and also selection of cooked breakfast, we ordered the Fruit platter with French toast everyday, even the chef knew what our orders were. The hotel staff were very friendly, they helped with excursion bookings and translating for local Red taxis, the staff really make us feel comfortable and we had a wonderful stay there.

The main reception is open, there are fans up in the ceiling, but no AC, so can be hot during midday sun.

The hotel is a lovely smaller property and has been renovated and appointed in the style of the original building. Breakfast was very good with lots of choices and cooked to order if you want. Also the complimentary refreshments in the cosy area by the pool were also great. The thing for us that made our stay memorable was the staff who without exception were so friendly and went out of their way to help whenever they could. When we go back to Chiang Mai we will be staying here again if we can.

We absolutely loved the area the hotel is located in, each member of the staff we met were so courteous and helpful. The hotel provides free activities each month which we availed of. We had lunch twice and each time it was amazing. Free snacks and ice cream in the lobby were a lovely touch. We had a lovely room overlooking the pool and received this upgrade free, so much appreciated as we were celebrating 2 special occasions. The area is very safe and very quiet at night so we had restful nights. Highly recommend to do a few of the activities the hotel can arrange, we did cooking class, elephant conservation program and a tour of the temples with the lovely Jon (free)

The hotel has a sister hotel right next door and they link, the connection was a bit confusing. We were disappointed that the hotel doesn’t serve food after 4:30 and drink after 9pm, it would have been nice to have had dinner and drinks at the hotel a few nights but there are some lovely places nearby

From the moment we arrived we were attentively taken care of in this beautiful hotel, the staff is knowledgeable, helpful and genuinely friendly. The hotel itself offers a setting blending references to both lavish Thai elegance and English colonial grandeur, an engaging sense of history. We had a spacious room with a balcony overlooking the pool and plumeria trees which was comfortable and quiet. We travel a lot and the 99 Heritage Hotel is one of our all time favorites.

Truly nothing was wrong. Had we encountered any problem no doubt that the lovely staff would have taken care of it immediately.

This is a beautiful hotel, in a fantastic location within the Old Quarter. From the moment we arrived, the staff did everything they could to help us. We made the most of our vouchers for lunches and massages (given to us as we stayed several nights) as well as the freely available water, snacks and ice cream. Imm, in particular, was wonderful and spoke excellent English. She kindly organised for our laundry to be collected by a local launderette - it was returned to us within a few hours and was extremely cheap. We used the in-house travel agent to book a couple of day trips and made use of the fantastic pool facilities. Overall this place is highly recommended for a luxurious stay in Chiang Mai.

The staff along with all the extra perks at The Heritage Hotel made our stay incredibly memorable! We loved our time here. Everyone was absolutely lovely... so friendly and helpful! Em was a total sweetheart and really made our trip especially wonderful! Rooms were spacious and very comfortable. Nice linens & pillows and the shower had plenty of hot water and great pressure! The lobby is so pretty and inviting for breakfast, an afternoon break or to meet up with friends for a drink. Location was perfect for visiting temples and the night market. It was our favorite hotel while traveling in Thailand. We can't wait to return!!

We were really happy with our stay! But if I had to choose one thing to improve upon it would be a small detail with the breakfast buffet... I would have loved freshly squeezed orange juice.

A True Gem in the Heart of Chiang Mai’s Old Town This hotel is perfectly located in the wonderful Old Town of Chiang Mai, radiating a warm and welcoming energy. The service was truly outstanding — the entire team went above and beyond to make my stay memorable. A special thank you to Ice, whose help with my driver’s license documents was simply incredible and deserves special mention! The rooms are on the smaller side, but they come with a balcony and lovely views of the pool. The value for money is absolutely fair, and the freshly prepared breakfast was a delicious way to start each day. All in all, a place I would highly recommend — with great energy, kind people, and a fantastic atmosphere. I’ll definitely be back!

Absolute gem of a hotel. Stylish, clean, amazing staff. Really couldn't of asked for anything more from our stay. We were greeted in the hotel by lovely staff that sorted us a complimentary drink and gave us some free breakfasts/dinners and afternoon tea vouchers due to our stay being 5 nights. The location is superb, 15 mins from the airport and a 30 seconds from the Sunday night market. Every area of the hotel was spotless, the food was great and the staff were knowledgeable, friendly and super helpful. We will 100% be returning here on our next stay on Chiang Mai

The only slight downside is that the pool doesn't get any sun in the afternoon, but it's a hotel in a built up city area so that's to be expected. We did expect this when we booked and it wasn't really an issue for us but those that like full sun all day -just bear in mind :)

1. Location - very auspicious opposite one of the most famous temples in Chiang Mai and super central - everything in walking distance. 2. The staff - some of the friendliest, kindest, genuinely nice hotel staff we have come across - nothing too much trouble. 3. The lovely courtyard and historic building. 4. All the extra things - lovely breakfasts, free drinks and snacks in the courtyard all day, a free lunch during our stay. All in all, a really lovely place to spend your time in Chiang Mai 😊
