I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at De Lanna Hotel in Chiang Mai, particularly impressed by the spaciousness of the room which exceeded my expectations. Conveniently located on the ground floor, our room offered a delightful view of the swimming pool and the courtyard, enhancing the serene atmosphere. The room’s design was carefully considered, with excellent lighting and a jacuzzi tub that added a touch of luxury. Additionally, the extensive selection of TV channels, covering major languages, was a notable perk, making the hotel especially appealing for honeymooners or anyone looking to unwind and relax.

After trying a few I think this is the best “budget” hotel in Chiang Mai, depending on your definition. The rooms are really nice, the building is really nice, the pool area is really nice… everything you would want to be compromising on for paying less is exactly what you do compromise on. Toiletries are basic. Kettle not a coffee machine. Etc. There is no compromise on feeling like you’re in a lovely place. Especially some hotels in this bracket, they smash the pool into one corner and then take photos to make it look like it’s bigger and much nicer… this is a proper pool, a nice place to swim and sit… I won’t be experimenting with any other similar bracket hotels in Chiang Mai from now on because all you’d be looking for is somewhere that matches this.

The breakfast buffet was adequate. The pool area was a good size and had trees surrounding for shade. The outdoor space in each room was a very nice touch. The bathrooms are very well equipped with extra amenities such as a bathrobe and a bathtub. The bed was very comfortable. The staff on my arrival and the first morning of my stay were helpful with bookings. The location of the hotel is nice, on a less busy street yet near shops, restaurants and some tourist sites.

The music at the pool area needs to be turned down. And a different style of music would be far more relaxing.

Staff was friendly and professional. Parking was good, restaurant was good, the breakfast was very good and a good deal at THB 250, the room was spacious, the pool was nice and I believe a salt water pool. Location in the Old City is very quaint and where one wants to be.

The Air Conditioning unit leaked water onto the floor by the entrance to the bath which is a potential slip and fall hazard. The main issue for me was the smell of mold in the room. It only bothered me when I returned to the room, however it is something the hotel needs to be aware of and correct. The water leak needs to be addressed and the mold cleaned up out of the overhead Air Conditioning unit. I did not notify staff of the issue, I probably should have mentioned it to staff and switched rooms.

Location,staff is helpless but polite and good.Restaurant is clean.Hotel in general is clean.

The ground floor rooms are not at all private.the hotel has a garden space which they use as a open air dining and drinking space.This garden is barely 5 to 8 meters from the ground floor rooms.The people dining there can look straight into your room right till your bathroom for room number 109,110and 111.So you have to keep your curtain drawn all the time.So no sunlight.Plus from early morning people sit in this garden and but obvious you can't sleep.peacefully.

We stayed there just one night before departing and we wanted a nice place to have a rest, and oh my what a great rest and sleep we had! The room is soooo comfortable, homey and inviting, the beds are superb and you feel like just staying there. The pool area is very nice and you don't feel the business of the street.

The only thing we would say is that the pool area is a tad small, we arrived and there was no sunbed available, they were all taken. So we just sat on the tables and waited for some to get free

We were lucky to find this lovely hotel, room was large, and well suited to our needs was cleaned daily to a good standard. A.C. great, staff exceptionally professional. Great food and drink offers. You could not find a better hotel for the money. The pool, gardens and restaurant exceeded expectations. If I had a comment it would be provide more sun loungers. Apart from that, place.was tip top.

Stayed 3 nights at De Lanna hotel recently . Had a good stay here with very nice room and well kept garden and pool area . Close to some of the main temples and plenty of dining options nearby . If you are looking for nightlife , I would recommend Zoe in Yellow bar area as there are very lively bars in the area and popular with tourists and backpackers . Would stay at the hotel and would recommend also

Great location, the room was really nice, the swimming pool was small but enough. There was a small fitness room and a laundry room to wash your clothes. It had everything you need and we enjoyed our stay!

- we had some ants in the bathroom from the beginning - we booked breakfast for one day, there was a lot to choose from, but overall it was very average (dry pancakes, small choice of fruits, only one kind of bread, coffee from a machine was not very tasty)

Great location handy to a lot of temples , Wat Phra Singh is at the end of the road . A 7 11 is a short walk down the road also quite a few restaurants all around , good location to stay. Saturday walking markets not far either . Breakfast is nice has your usual eggs, ham, sausages cereals yoghurt few Thai dishes . It also has a nice pool and a seating area with lots of tress and plants around also Khoi fish. There is also a restaurant and bar onsite you can order things all day . Parking is out the front. The hotel has a lift . We had a lovely ground floor room most have balconies. Bit unusual there is a urinal in the bathroom , shower is in the bath quite a high bath not easy getting in out .

The Beds are so so hard I know Thai beds can be bad but these were dreadful. The staff were very disappointing they barely acknowledge you which is very unusual for a hotel in Thailand. Very young staff who were more interested in each other or their phone . Shower water can be hit or miss if you can get hot water there is a sign stating this.
