This hotel is full of Thai charm and character. The decor isn’t brand new, but everything is extremely clean and well maintained. The breakfast buffet doesn’t offer a huge variety, but the main dishes are delicious, and they serve different soups and local treats every day. The location is excellent—taxis can drop you off right at the entrance. My friend and I booked two rooms for five nights, and I loved it so much I came back for a sixth night on my own. Beyond the ambiance and comfort, the service was truly the diamond on the crown. Every staff member was warm, helpful, and approachable. A special thank you to Fang for going above and beyond—coming to fix my water heater even when it wasn’t her shift. That meant a lot. Would highly recommend this place. Great value for money.

We had an instance where the room was cleaned very poorly (not all towels changed, pillows on the floor, beds barely made, etc)

Staying this property for second time , property has got an amazing vibe with a great location, but yeas food should be worked upon , can be better . Otherwise all great.

We really enjoyed this hotel! Beautiful room with a large bed and good AC. Staff is very nice and easy to communicate with in English. Enjoyed the breakfast. Had a baby cot for our child that was of good quality. This hotel was really something extra and I would be happy to stay here again if I ever come back to Chiang Mai.

We stayed in the room type called “suite” and we found the curtains to be a bit small and letting in too much light. The other houses with “villa” rooms had shutters on their windows so I would guess it’s much better in those rooms.

I absolutely loved my time at Buri Gallery House and couldn't have been happier with my choice. My room was spacious, felt very traditional and vibrant, and the staff were the best. They really went out of their way to make my time special and make me feel comfortable, and make sure I was taken care of. The location was excellent too! The whole experience made my trip, I would definitely return to this hotel without thinking twice. The hotel also offers a lot of options of activities to do in Chiang Mai -- the staff helped me organise 2 of them, they were exceptional!

Buri Gallery was a very nice place to stay. It is bang in the centre of the old town, and walkable to pretty much everywhere. The staff were all lovely (including Kanun, the hotel dog, and unofficial manager), the breakfast was great, and the pool was really welcome. We would definitely stay here again.

It was low season, so there was construction work going on underneath our room. This made things a bit noisy and dusty, and the garden was being used as storage area for building materials. On the plus side, things will look great when all the renovation is done.

Thaistyle hotel with amazing employees. Everyone was nice and very helpful. The food and drinks were tasty and amazing prepared. We enjoyed the stay with a family of four. The pool was not very big but big enough. Everything was very clean. There were some construction for upgrading rooms but it was not noisy or disturbing. Location is great in the old city with plenty of temples but also spa and massages and shop’s nearby.

Our room was on two floor and was big. We had to get used that there were almost no windows and natural light. It was hot outside so it was fine for us.

Very nice and clean hotel! Staff speaks good English and really wants to help. Always somebody available behind the counter. Nice breakfast, with extra choices. Beautiful rooms. Authentic goodies in the hotel room. Very “instagrammable” place close to tourist attractions. Only negative point was that their booking account has a scam on it. They are partly(?) hacked. Because of that you will receive messages asking for your personal and creditcard information to “complete” or “verify” the booking. Don’t send this information! They changed their password multiple times and are aware of the issue, but it isn’t solved yet.

The location is perfect—right in the old city and close to Wat Phra Singh, a 7-11, a grocery store, pharmacy, restaurants, and massage spots. The 24-hour reception is convenient, and the staff are incredibly friendly and helpful. Breakfast (7–10 AM) is delicious, with a variety of entree options to choose from. The rooms are bright, spacious, and thoughtfully equipped with complimentary drinks and fruits. We attended one of the free daily activities, the Thai tea-making class on Thursday. It was super fun! Also a special shoutout for the free airport transfer after checkout—such a thoughtful touch.

The bathroom had a slight odor, which could be improved, and the sound insulation in the rooms wasn’t ideal.

The hotel is in a very popular central location with a wonderful temple complex within 100 metres, very busy shops and street markets. The room was large with a comfortable bed (albeit with a mosquito-netting canopy. Usual friendly Thai staff. Lots of trips out opportunities on offer. Restaurant is good for evening meals. The pool was welcome and clean.

The photographs are not incorrect but they show the property in the best possible way! It is not as much in a 'green setting' nor as rustically charming as maybe implied. I do not think the 'villa' room we had was actually better than considerably cheaper rooms go for one of the more standard ones.
