I stayed here for two weeks in July 2025. Lanya and her team really made this place feel like home. As a solo traveler, I particularly appreciated that Lanya took a personal interest in where I had been, what I had seen, and where I was going next. She was also able to answer my questions and make recommendations. I appreciated the special breakfasts every morning -- I always felt like breakfast was made with love -- A hot breakfast with fresh fruit prepared beautifully by the breakfast team. I always felt safe and welcome -- and the hotel is close to restaurants, temples, and shopping. A super value for the money.

It was a good location. Did a lot on foot. Breakfast was freshly made every morning but I like a buffet style better. Nice homely feel . Free coffee and tea available and also cold water in a fridge to take as you want. Room was a bit small and had an electric problem the second day so I had a nice night in a bigger room. Enjoyed my stay there.

The stay was nice and clean but it could do with an update...the terrace next to the room wasn't as nice as the pictures show. The pool was clean and the garden nicely kept. The neighbourhood was somewhat noisy...not the hotels fault off course. Also I was asked if they could clean the room but they didn't. Had the same towels and garbage bins the entire stay. Stlll enjoyed my stay here ... I don't let it influence me , but maybe some things to pay attention to in the future. Friendly staff and helpful too.

Great location right in the old city with plenty we could walk to easily. The rooms are basic but sufficient with some cute touches. The staff made every effort to communicate and accomodate anything we needed.

Maybe because we were there in the off season, but parts of the property (especially the common areas) looked like they would really benefit from a touch up and some improvement. Even little things like all of the labelled drawers seemed helpful but then often contained something different from what the label said. To be fair, we did notice some painting and fixing up happening during our stay.

My room looked exactly like the photo and also very much like an IKEA showroom, and I loved it! There was bottled water in the room and cold ones in the shared fridge outside, which is very welcome after a day of walking, visiting temples in the heat. Very near the airport, and it's a very pleasant and safe walk to the main temples like Wat Chedi Luang. I love discovering smaller, lesser known temples near this place.

A bit difficult to find the staff on site to talk to for breakfast at their diner, but this is easily remedied by just ordering from GrabFood.

Our 3 day stopover turned into 10 day homestay! The staff were the highlight for me. They assisted me with all my needs, recommendations, car rental, visa immigration printing, and the most important were so welcoming to my 4 year sold and 1 year old dog. The bed was so comfy and the room and house were exceptionally clean. If you are staying with kids, I recommend a downstairs room as running upstairs creates a lot of noise. There are lots of English novels to read and some kids books too. The pool is a great addition for chilling during the day. A really beautiful, warm, and welcoming experience. Would definitely stay here again.

I wish I had been able to stay here longer, but only booked a single night after a group tour, wanting to spend a little more time in Chiang Mai before needing to return home. My single room was big enough for my needs, had a little table and a very comfortable and spacious bathroom. The staff member checking me in was lovely and helpful in explaining everything to me, and my breakfast that was included in my rate was great - plenty of cooked food, salad and fruit to get me ready for the day. The location was also great - easy to walk everywhere but not on one of the main roads. Will definitely stay here again when I'm next in Chiang Mai!

The only thing that didn't make this a 10 star review is the fact that my room was a little exposed to the balcony and neighbouring building, so I needed to keep my curtains drawn. But other rooms are likely more private.

Exceptional stay in Chiang Mai! La Mama took such great care of us. When she noticed that we hadn’t made it to breakfast, she made sure to ask us whether we would like to take breakfast with us when heading out for early tours the rest of the stay. That was so kind! The location is so close to the centre and is in a quiet area which is perfect. The pool is clean and the temperature is perfect for cooling down. If you’re thinking of booking here, do it. We loved it and would definitely return 💛

The hotel is setup like a homestay. You feel like you are living in someone's house. The rooms and common areas are decorated with a charming old school vibe. The location is obviously amazing - everything is 2-5 minutes walk or a short drive.

Not enough space to keep our clothes and other luggage. The bathrooms don't dry off quickly which makes them difficult to use after a bath. The big muay thai gym right next is a bit noisy in the daytime (not only in the daytime).

The beautiful guesthouse is located about 10 minutes from the Sunday night market, a supermarket (7/11) and isn’t far and there is many nice little cafes in the area. The host was very friendly and helped us with everything we needed.

The only thing I can think of was that the bathroom didn’t have a window to open or any type of ventilation system, which made it an extremely humid place, especially after showering. For me, that still wouldn’t be a reason to not recommend the place!

The room was super spacious and everything was clean and cute. The staff were super helpful with any inquiry we had. They helped us arrange a motorbike rental and were always super flexible with cleaning times. Entry and exit was very clear and easy. The location was fantastic - right in the middle of old town with easy walking to anywhere you wanted to go. We enjoyed the pool as well.
