We accidentally found this hotel in a guide to interesting places in the Old Town and decided to stay here just for fun. It turned out to be the best decision! The location is perfect—every direction is beautiful, and we never had to take extra steps just to reach the hotel. Everything is walkable and enjoyable. The hotel is old, but it doesn’t have that musty “grandmother’s dresser” smell. The water pressure in the shower is fantastic, and the bed is incredibly comfortable. The reception staff, Naithon and Papa, are absolute sweethearts! They told us so much about the city and gave detailed, interesting answers to all our questions about Thai life. Seriously, they deserve a bonus—they truly care about this place, and they are the soul of this place. Plus, their English is excellent! We stayed for two days to fully explore the Old Town. Despite being surrounded by popular streets, it was very quiet inside. The inner courtyard is peaceful and serene.

It’s a stunningly beautiful building inside and out, a vintage gem, but with discreet modern features (aircon, decent showers). A tranquil oasis right in the centre of the old town, it was a perfect place to escape after experiencing the mayhem of the Sunday market. The private salons for hotel guests are gorgeous. Thailand is renowned for service with a smile, but the staff here are the friendliest we’ve encountered anywhere! (Thank you Papa, Nathan, Jenny, Philip, Penny). The complimentary little snacks, cafetière in the room, Phuket breakfast desserts (worth getting up early for- served only before 9), and the all day light breakfast and evening bar service at Cafe Mem, all made for a comfortable stay.

My wife and I have been lucky enough to have multiple stays at The Memory at On-On, and it's always a wonderful experience. The hotel is beautiful and charming, and located in the absolutely gorgeous Old Town. While everyone raves about the beaches of Phuket, Old Town is so, so worth a visit. While there isn't a full restaurant in the hotel, there are so many excellent places to eat within walking distance, and the fabulous Sunday night market is right outside the door. The cafe in the hotel serves drinks and small, delicious snacks, and is a wonderful place for people-watching. The beds are enormous and incredibly comfortable, the staff are friendly and helpful, and the historic building itself is just glorious. I can't recommend it more!

Staff was excellent and incredibly helpful and friendly. Would return just for them. Rooms small but nice and clean. Location in the historic centre. Generally good vibes and nicely decorated.

Rooms are with doors and windows indoor to the lobby which might lead to noise especially in the evening and morning. But more than okay.

We had a fantastic stay at The Memory at On On Hotel in Phuket Town. While the room was on the smaller side, it was spotlessly clean, well-maintained, and perfectly comfortable. The air conditioning worked extremely well — a true lifesaver in the Thai heat! The shower was especially nice with both a rainfall and handheld option, and the towels provided were large, soft, and cozy. Housekeeping was consistent and thoughtful, tidying the room daily and offering the option to reuse towels as part of their eco-friendly approach. We really appreciated that! They also provide beach towels with a refundable 200 baht deposit — super convenient for day trips to the coast. One of the unexpected highlights was the laundry service — just 80 baht per kilo and everything came back smelling amazing. It was fast, easy, and really helped us travel light. We didn’t get a chance to try Café Mem, so I can’t comment on the food, but the surrounding area is bursting with options and the location is super walkable. It’s lively at night with nearby karaoke bars and events, so you might hear some noise from the street, but we weren’t bothered by it at all — it added to the vibrant feel of the town. If you’re visiting Phuket and want to explore the cultural side, this is a wonderful place to stay. It’s perfect for walking around Old Town, and if you want to hit the beach or go on water adventures, it’s an easy day trip. Highly recommend and would absolutely stay again!

While the hallways and café didn’t have A/C, the lobby area had snacks and drinks available for guests which was a nice touch. The hotel also has 24-hour front desk staff, and the night worker in particular was incredibly kind and helpful — he really made our stay extra pleasant.

We arrived late to the hotel but we did let the staff know in advance and they said there would be no problem. This hotel is amazing and possibly the best place I’ve stayed, I am a big fan of the Beach film so I’m slightly biased but every member of staff down to the cleaning lady were so helpful and courteous. The way the hotel has been restored is very classy right down to the period music playing in the back ground. When you go to Phuket skip the beaches and come here, you will not be disappointed. I can’t wait to come back and wish I’d have booked an extra night.

I booked a room at ON ON Hotel about three weeks before my trip and I’m so glad I did. The location is unbeatable—right in the middle of Phuket Old Town’s Sunday Market. Check-in was smooth and quick, and we only waited around 5 minutes for the room. The place felt instantly cozy with a charming antique vibe, which is exactly the hotel’s style. We were welcomed with a nice drink and shown to our room by a very friendly receptionist who explained everything. The room was comfortable with a nice bed, basic amenities, and a spacious bathroom. I loved the vintage décor throughout the hotel. There’s also an upstairs area and a restaurant right at the entrance, which was super convenient. Overall, it was a really good and memorable stay. Cozy, central, and surrounded by everything you need. If you can, stay on a Sunday so you can enjoy the amazing night market right outside your door.

None of the below list would deter me from staying again, I loved this place! But good for people to know, 1. there was a touch of mould smell and some little termite looking bugs on the table but they were harmless and with the humidity of thailand the mould is inevitable. 2. the shower pressure and temperature was fluctuating and you need to push the water down the hole after having a shower otherwise you will hear drips all night 3. the attached cafe looked a bit pricey

This hotel is located perfectly in Phuket. It's directly in Old town, which is perfect for walking around at night. The staff were extremely accommodating, especially Gigi, who I got a little 'Karen' with at first when I arrived because he was being so thorough. I showed up a couple of nights early and he very quickly got me into a beautiful room, one on the bottom floor. I would highly recommend one of these bottom floor rooms. When I came back for my second stay, I had a different room, for a lower price, which was still nice. Gigi helped me get a taxi multiple days and in general helped me with many questions I had about which islands to visit and how to get there. He even arranged for me to get to the port that went to Koh Kao Kai, which was amazing. I would highly recommend this hotel.

I had a wonderful stay! The location was perfect, close to everything but still peaceful. The decoration throughout the place was unique and charming, with lots of thoughtful touches. What truly stood out, though, was the staff. Annie, Jenny, and Alan were so friendly and attentive, they really made the experience feel personal. I’d definitely come back!

I genuinely sat here trying to think of something that could be improved, but it wasn’t easy, everything about this place was just that good. If I had to point out one small thing, it would be that a few more spots to hang towels would be helpful. That’s it, it was an incredible stay and I’d come back in a heartbeat.
