Friendly and helpful staff, especially Komang and Rare. Ocean view rooms made the location even better.

Shower pressure poor but still ok

An amazing guesthouse in a great location. Very friendly and helpful staff. Room was spacious and clean. Great value.

The bed was very noisy after any movement and there was a bad smell that appeared to be coming from the A.C.

Very good location close to everything. The room was a good size, looked cozy and had nice furniture. The bed was comfortable. The staff was very helpful and carried my suitcase to the 4th floor. There is a coffee shop downstairs however I ran of out time to try their coffee. It looked very interesting though. I wish I could stay longer there.

The only thing I didn’t like is the check in time as the reception is not open 24 /7. You have to arrive by 10 pm maximum. Also, there was a switch on the 4th floor before my room that is a fire bell. This should be labelled differently as when I walked up when the light was off, I pressed the button thinking it was the light switch. Luckily nothing happened apart from a short bell ring.

If you are a budget tourist, traveling very light - (in my case I have only one small backpack) - it is a perfect place. It is clean and the room is spacious. For a person or a couple - it has everything that you need except you have to climb the stairway. The staff is very helpful and offers many tips on the tour. I absolutely recommend this.

Nothing - they make it very clear that they do not have elevator.

We had a 4th floor room (top), a bit of a strange layout, but fine. The stairs were not a problem for us. Comfortable bed with extra pillows! Fridge, kettle, coffee fixings, soaps in shower. All very nice and clean.

I want to fall in line with all the reviews, but for two things; (1) there was a very loud, squeaky, screechy exhaust fan on restaurant next door - it was annoyingly loud until midnight. (2) the restaurant next door was a steakhouse and as much as I love a steak, the smell of the grilling was strong in the room and throughout the guesthouse….,too much

Our stay here was fantastic. The rooms were super clean, everything worked so well, the location is fantastic and the host is super friendly! He always greeted us with a smile and answered any questions we had. Our time here was simply a 10/10 and we came back a week later when we were in Phuket again. The indy market is just around the corner which serves amazing foods and the guest house is located in the main area of the old town, which allows you to walk around and explore it whenever you want. I strongly recommend this to anyone who is searching for a stay here.

There was nothing so complain about with this guest house!

This is our fourth time in Thailand & our fourth stay at Baan Sutra - we wouldn’t stay anywhere else in Phuket. It is always spotlessly clean, the beds are comfy & the staff are friendly, knowledgeable & welcoming. There is now a cafe in what used to be the reception area - the coffee is excellent & there’s a wide variety of other drinks + food too!

Our stay was great! The hosts were kind, and the room was spacious, located on the first floor with access via stairs. We also had a closed balcony, which was a nice addition. The air conditioning worked perfectly. The location is excellent, right in the heart of Old Town, making it very convenient to explore. We rented a car and had no trouble finding free street parking nearby. The area felt safe throughout our stay. Overall, a great place to stay in Phuket Town!

The best thing about this hotel is definitely its location! It takes you about 1min to walk to the famous street with the colourful buildings, but at the same time, the hotel is far enough away to be quiet at night. Furthermore there is a night market very close to the hotel as well that I highly recommend checking out. The receptionist was very helpful. The rooms have everything you need, but are definitely on the small side.

As I mentioned already, the rooms are very small and, moreover, this is not the hotel to come to for epic views (but we did not book it for that and therefore did not care). The only thing we really were not happy about were the beds, which were quite uncomfortable.

Nicely furnished and comfortable room, comfy bed and clean bathroom. AC works well. Lobby room has nice decor and very pleasant scent, it also has a water station to refill your bottle. Location of the guesthouse was perfect for us, just steps from the Sunday market and 10 minutes walk from the local buses taking you to the beaches, also very easy to take Bolt to any desired location. The best part is the friendliness and helpfulness of the staff and we were very happy to be able to extend our stay!

Shower has no curtain, so you might splash a little bit of water, but the bathroom is pretty spacious, so no big deal.
