I had an incredible experience staying here. The ambiance was warm, welcoming, and beautifully maintained—truly a peaceful retreat. The location is fantastic, providing easy access to all the nearby attractions while still feeling like a quiet escape. What really sets this place apart, though, is the wonderful team who run it. They are such kind souls, always going above and beyond to make guests feel at home. I must give a special mention to San, who has been one of the highlights of my backpacking journey. She is genuinely one of the most friendly and helpful people I've met—her kindness and thoughtfulness truly made my stay unforgettable. If you stay here, be sure to say hello to her from me!

I bet there isn't anything that I disliked

I recently stayed at Neighbourshood Hostel and had a wonderful experience. The standout part of my visit was the exceptional service provided by Ploy at the reception. From the moment I arrived, Ploy was incredibly welcoming and helpful, making check-in a breeze and ensuring I had all the information I needed about the hostel and the surrounding area. The hostel itself is clean, cozy, and well-maintained, with comfortable rooms and ample amenities. The common areas are perfect for meeting fellow travelers and relaxing after a day of exploring. The location is also fantastic, with easy access to local attractions and public transportation. Ploy's friendly demeanor and genuine care for the guests truly made my stay memorable. I highly recommend Neighbourshood Hostel to anyone visiting the area, and I will definitely be returning on my next trip. Thank you, Ploy, for making my stay so enjoyable!

i want to tell you that the location of the hostel was right there where the action took place on the sunday market, also the settup scene that teleported me back in time for a good few hours each day all the way trough the night, it was fantastic as things slowed down, less noisy and scenery with locals, although the rooms where air conditioned from pm night to am morning, it felt alitle sufficating inside due to lack of proper oxygen, other then that they had a good breakfast menu, and the staf where very friendly at all times.

the rooms did not have enough clean air comming in, that was the only downside.

All of the staff made me feel very welcome. Felt like a rockstar every time I entered the place and being welcomed by everyone with a friendly smile. They explain everything really well and offer tickets as well as tours and you can ask them anything. Especially Ploy and San and BM were super helpful and warm hearted💚 (the others also but I didn’t ask for all of their names)

If you are sensitive to traffic noises like me you should bring earplugs to rest peacefully.

The staff were beyond amazing! Shout out to Ploy! She helped me so much calling my tour and helping to get my refund (lots of calls) after a spontaneous cancellation. They were so kind and considerate to help me and check in with me throughout my stay (and even after!). The hostel is super relaxed and you feel so welcome. You can chill outside or inside the cafe. The location is ideal and close to buses to explore Phuket further. I had a great stay and felt so supported as a solo traveller!

I loved that it was situated right on the street of the weekend market. I found the room clean, there were curtains and big lockers. The staff were super friendly as well.

There is only one bathroom on the floor which is open and mixed (no girls only bathroom) and the showers didn’t look very clean. It gets hot during the day because they only turn on the ac in the night.

Great location as it was really close to the shops and cafes. Hostel itself was really nice and felt super safe. Clean and comfy beds and nice shower and toilet area which never felt busy. A cafe fronts the hostel and it’s really nice, the staff were great and have pictures giving recommendations for Phuket. One staff member was super helpful, writing an allergy card in Thai that we’ve used across Thailand.

Not the most social if you’re looking for that but otherwise lovely place.

Right in the center of the city center where u can walk around easily. Close to the pier. They can arrange transportation to pier and get boat ticket too so its convenient.

Pillow extremely hard Windows don’t open so gets really hot and stuffy during day Ac only in evening Give more expensive water I had requested bottom bunk but was told it was automated so they couldn’t help it and it was really hard for me to get up Should have a chair and table in room so we can sit in the room to sort out stuff instead had to sit on the floor to go through my luggage.

We loved staying here and will certainly return when we visit Phuket again. It’s right in the middle of Old Town and beside everything. Just around the corner from all the night markets. The staff are really lovely people. So kind and helpful no matter what you need. I was unwell during my stay and they provided me with hot water whenever I needed it. There is a lovely cafe downstairs that you walk through to reception. Great big portions if you feel like treating yourself.

The bed and pillow was extremely hard but again it’s Thailand and that’s to be expected.

I love this beautiful hostel. Located at the central location. A few blocks from the famous So I Romanee and to the Old Town. 20minutes away from the Terminal 2 Bus Station and surrounded with many eateries. The staff was really nice. Opor and Cream have made my stay unforgettable.

I wish the have common areas where I can simply hang out and read books.
