The structure was incredible, very typical, luxurious and elegant at the same time. The swimming pool is the most stunning and unique one I have ever seen. The room was perfect, the bed was super soft, the shower with the black stones was really impressive. The position was perfect, the terrace is big and it is in a good position to see the air balloons early in the morning. The staff is very friendly and available, they always met our requests. Common areas of the hotel were stunning and super clean, the little fountain in the centre of the hall was breathtaking.

The best thing about our stay was the breakfast - if you like Turkish breakfast, this is for you! Shout out to the lady (I forgot her name, sorry! She had dark hair, a fringe, ponytail), she was so friendly and welcoming. As this was my second time visiting Cappadocia, I wanted to stay in a higher quality hotel than a lower standard one which might be more "Instagrammable" or have better views of the balloons. The hotel is perfect for those who don't like a hike as most of the hotels are on a hill but this is just off the main strip in Goreme. Our room was spacious and clean, it even had a little nook for sitting. We requested for a quiet room and I am so glad they gave us room 50, which was located on the opposite end to the main entrance (right next to a back door out to a dead-end street) - much appreciated!

A couple of things which dropped the score: 1) The shower cubicle door did not close which meant our bathroom floor was always wet. 2) Bathroom sink had a constant sewage smell when it was dry/not in use, probably due to the pipework. 3) Purely a personal preference - the bathroom toilet was black which made it impossible tell if they were actually clean or not. 4) My room was not a cave room but yet it offers a cave feel as it was really dark. I had to go outside to apply makeup.

Beautiful Carus Cappadocia is very central in Göreme. Some of the staff were amazing- particularly the wonderfully warm women running the upstairs dinning area. Sorry I can’t remember her name🤔 but she surprised my husband with a little birthday treat. Beautiful underground indoor pool .

All lovely but given the expense some new pillows for the room we had is needed. The one I had was past it’s used by date .

the mains for the restaurant were pretty basic, the chicken kebab definitely lacked taste.

This hotel is secure and in a central location that is perfect for solo female travellers without a car. The swimming pool is small, so great for a relaxing dip, but not appropriate for exercise (although travellers can use larger pools at other hotels for a fee). There is a nice selection of contemporary European fusion food at the hotel restaurant and many good Turkish and International restaurants nearby. All staff (reception, dining, housekeeping and technical) were highly professional and provided an outstanding, faultless service. English is spoken fluently by reception and adequately by most staff.

A few of the rooms have very little storage space (i.e., only a hanging rack with no wardrobe, draws or cupboards) which is fine for a short-stay solo traveller, but maybe not for a couple staying more than a few days. I would advise prospective guests to check the room specification with the hotel prior to booking. The hotel is arranged over several levels that are not all accessible by lift which may not be appropriate for the elderly or travellers with physical disabilities. Again, travellers with limited mobility are advised to check prior to booking.

Breakfast was extraordinarily good with a very attentive and kind waitress Fatma, who made our stay unforgettable. Spa facilities are nice and the view from the hotel terrace in the morning for looking at the hot air balloons is marvellous.

Some spa employees watched videos with highest volume in the spa area, while they were waiting for their clients. Should not happen in the spa area, where people want to relax.

Location was very good, in the middle of picturesque Göreme and with rooftop terraces to watch the environment and flying balloons. Breakfast was very good, with many Turkish foods and included fresh orange juice and capuccinos at no extra cost. Dinner was very pleasant, elegant, with a nice view. Restaurant staff was outstanding, especially Fatma and Burça. Valet parking took care of our car. As a bonus, included in the price was a nice underground pool and sauna, for relief after a busy day.

Our room had no closets, and litte storage space, so we had to use our suitcases as drawers.

My wife and I stayed at Carus Cappadocia for 4 nights and had a great experience. The hotel was very comfortable, and the staff were friendly and helpful. They recommended a good balloon company, and we were lucky to book in time—it was a once-in-a-lifetime experience! They also arranged our airport transfers, sightseeing taxis, Turkish Night, Green Tour, and ATV ride at good prices. Everything went smoothly, and the taxi was always on time. Room service was quick, and the staff answered all our questions politely. The best part was the breakfast—delicious buffet with lots of variety and a beautiful town view. A special thanks to Fatma, the restaurant manager, who made our mornings even better. Highly recommend this hotel for anyone visiting Cappadocia!

Probably the best hotel in the area due to its location, gresr viewd from rooftop terraces and the restaurant! The staff in the restaurant were all wonderful and the food and cocktails were fabulous. The pool and sauna were great especially as the weather was so awful while we were there. I asked for a room with a patio but sadly I had not realised they were on the front (room 12) and very noisy from the bar with live music or singer most nights that is on the street in front of the hotel. If you want quiet ask not to be at front of building. The room was very comfortable and spotless so it did not stop us from enjoying our stay. Great shower. Reception organised all our transfer needs. 👍 We just wished it had not been so wet and cold and we could have taken advantage of the beautiful outside spaces more than we were able.

Hotel location to the town and viewing point was excellent. No major hill to walk to get to hotel which was great. The staff are exceptionally helpful and really pay attention to detail. Melissa at concierge organised a card and chocolate cake for our wedding anniversary and it was superb. We booked a mixed tour with the hotel for red tour + kaymakli underground city.we had an exceptional tour guide and driver. Lots of tours available by street vendors but you get quality with the hotel organised tour. Beds were comfy and so were the pillows. Lovely complimentary use of the cave pool and sauna. The hotel has many beautiful viewing terraces for the hot air balloons. Beautiful surrounds and well maintained. Look no further, Carus was exceptional.

I struggled a little with the lack of counter space in the bathroom but this is nothing major. Our room faced the main road and was below haruna restaurant which was a little noisy but it was okay.
