The structure was incredible, very typical, luxurious and elegant at the same time. The swimming pool is the most stunning and unique one I have ever seen. The room was perfect, the bed was super soft, the shower with the black stones was really impressive. The position was perfect, the terrace is big and it is in a good position to see the air balloons early in the morning. The staff is very friendly and available, they always met our requests. Common areas of the hotel were stunning and super clean, the little fountain in the centre of the hall was breathtaking.

The best thing about our stay was the breakfast - if you like Turkish breakfast, this is for you! Shout out to the lady (I forgot her name, sorry! She had dark hair, a fringe, ponytail), she was so friendly and welcoming. As this was my second time visiting Cappadocia, I wanted to stay in a higher quality hotel than a lower standard one which might be more "Instagrammable" or have better views of the balloons. The hotel is perfect for those who don't like a hike as most of the hotels are on a hill but this is just off the main strip in Goreme. Our room was spacious and clean, it even had a little nook for sitting. We requested for a quiet room and I am so glad they gave us room 50, which was located on the opposite end to the main entrance (right next to a back door out to a dead-end street) - much appreciated!

A couple of things which dropped the score: 1) The shower cubicle door did not close which meant our bathroom floor was always wet. 2) Bathroom sink had a constant sewage smell when it was dry/not in use, probably due to the pipework. 3) Purely a personal preference - the bathroom toilet was black which made it impossible tell if they were actually clean or not. 4) My room was not a cave room but yet it offers a cave feel as it was really dark. I had to go outside to apply makeup.

Beautiful Carus Cappadocia is very central in Göreme. Some of the staff were amazing- particularly the wonderfully warm women running the upstairs dinning area. Sorry I can’t remember her name🤔 but she surprised my husband with a little birthday treat. Beautiful underground indoor pool .

All lovely but given the expense some new pillows for the room we had is needed. The one I had was past it’s used by date .

The hotel itself was so beautiful and aesthetic. Located right in the centre of Göreme, with stunning views of the natural landscape. The rooftop terrace was a great place to relax with a drink in the evening or sit and watch the hot air balloons in the early morning! The staff were so friendly and attentive, often going out of their way to help you, even remembering small details like your name and room number. The cleaners also left flowers on our bed each day, which was such a lovely, personal touch! This is easily one of the nicest hotels I've ever stayed at. I have already recommended it to friends and family wishing to visit!

We had a large room with a beautiful terrace below the rooftop restaurant. This view gave us a panorama of the other traditional homes mostly converted to hotels on the hillside opposite and was used by my husband for room service dining one night when I came down with a vomiting bug. (Don’t have street vendor drinks in turkey with ice!) The hotel was aware, offering to get a doctor and housekeepers replaced the bed linen several times. Fortunately it passed overnight in time to watch the balloons pass by our terrace. Sunset drinks on the rooftop terrace a highlight.

The underground pool was heavily chlorinated and made us itchy so we only used in once

the best location to see the hot air balloons in the morning. close to all local restaurants. amazing choice of food for breakfast.

the mains for the restaurant were pretty basic, the chicken kebab definitely lacked taste.

The views of Goreme is exceptional. From the rooftop we could watch the Hot Air Balloons every morning, they were simply the best views and didn't feel the need to go watch from the launch point. The breakfast with such delicious variety with views of Uchisar Castle, Pigeon valley was exceptional. The staff guided us with tours to take and made arrangements for it at last minute. They can arrange for shuttle service from and to the airport, makes it hassle free and easy. The cave hotel is so creatively and tastefully designed, we enjoyed being surprised at every corner and the staff, service is top notch. We look forward to going back to Cappadocia and staying at Carus.

Very comfortable beds and pillows, pillow menu was available. We stayed in a cave suite and it felt very authentic and different. Free parking, on site spa and restaurant. Breakfast has cold mezze, as well as eggs coffee and tea to order. Beautiful rooftop terrace to view the balloons in the morning. Friendly staff. Very well decorated hotel throughout with lots of art and many outside spaces to sit and enjoy Cappadocia.

Only minor things really, we overall really enjoyed our stay. The spa treatments were on the expensive side - €60 for a massage. Shower was slightly leaky. The cave room would get quite moist/damp as there is no windows/ventilation. Shower gel/shampoo felt of slightly lower quality than expected.

We stayed in the Stone Deluxe Room, which was decently spacious and featured windows overlooking the center of Göreme. The bed was very comfortable, and we appreciated the thoughtful touch of being offered various pillow choices to suit our preferences. The hotel is in a perfect central location — just a 1-minute walk from most shops and restaurants, and only a 10-minute walk to Sunset Point, making it an ideal base for exploring the area. We were also pleasantly surprised by a thoughtful gesture from the hotel: as we were celebrating our wedding anniversary, they left a delicious strawberry chocolate cake in our fridge. It was a lovely and memorable touch that made our stay even more special. The breakfast spread was quite good, with a nice variety of options. You can order your choice of omelet, poached eggs, or a traditional Turkish omelet, all freshly made to your preference. The highlight, however, was the service — the staff were incredibly courteous and attentive throughout our stay. A special shoutout to Fatima, who took excellent care of us and made our mornings even more enjoyable.

This hotel truly made all my dreams come true! I spent months looking for the perfect cave room, and this one exceeded every expectation. The blend of modern comfort with traditional charm is flawless!! 100 out of 10! It’s absolutely stunning, with amazing amenities, an incredible staff that’s both friendly and highly professional, and the most delicious breakfast. The location is perfect! close to many restaurants and the city center,but honestly, the hotel had everything I needed. I loved relaxing and enjoying it all. The cave pool and sauna were the cherry on top. A dream hotel in a dream city :) I couldn’t be more satisfied.
