The owner and staff were so lovely, breakfast was amazing and the room was beautiful, couldn’t not fault perfect location for walking to most attractions and sites with restaurants very close as well. Would highly recommend

After our stay at Doruk Palas, I don't think I can ever stay in another hotel in Istanbul. Location is great - in Pera, just south of Galata tower, which makes it ideal if you like to walk (~30 mins to the main attractions like Agia Sofia, Blue Mosque, etc.). You also have the option of taking public transport - ask the guys at the hotel and they will easily hook you up with whatever you need. Pera is also a neighborhood with plenty of shops and restaurants, just a short walk from the hotel. Breakfast was great, and the coffee is of a high standard (as it should be, in Türkiye). Tip: you don't need to limit yourself to whatever is at the buffet - the staff are always happy to make you eggs, in any form you want. But let's get to the most important part: (Mr.) Osman, the manager, was the highlight of our entire trip. If you're lucky, he will follow you into the elevator and walk you to your room. If you're even luckier, he will stay for a while and take a nap (he's super busy, and can always use some rest). Osman is a cat, btw. I cannot stress enough how amazing the owner(s) and staff of this hotel are. We got to know everyone very well in just a few days, and had a blast talking to them, finding out more about the city, but also about them on a personal level. The ambience they've created in the hotel is one of warmth and a feeling like you belong there, like you're part of a family- so much so, that we even met other hotel guests and even ended up hanging out with them in the city to do tourist stuff! Can't wait to be back to Istanbul and to see Osman again!

We stayed at the Doruk Palas for 5 days/4 nights the experience was just great. Location - 10/10 we basically walked to the old city and the night life in Beyoğlu. Metro & ferry stations were in walking distance whenever required. Food - 10/10 wholesome, fresh and very delicious. For all the days, we had breakfast and went out walking to explore the places of interest and never had to stop for lunch, a perfect way to end your day at one of the many highly rated restaurants. Comfort - 10/10 Functional, clean and comfortable, high levels of cleanliness Staff - 10/10 Service with a smile!! Everyone here is so warm, helpful with anything you may ask - from a welcoming chat to any logistical questions to recommendations on restaurants or things to do. Just a warm human touch to the whole experience that we feel that we now have friends in a foreign country.

Our parents and our little family had a very nice stay at Doruk Palas Hotel. There was a very friendly contact with the people in the hotel, both on arrival as during our stay with advice and during cosy breakfasts. The hotel is situated within walking distance from the beautiful old town and close to the shopping street in the new part of Istanbul. If you prefer a small, well situated, ultra clean, cosy and above all warm and friendly hotel rather than a giant impersonal building, look no further. On top of that, we appreciated the fine humour with which our teenage daughters too felt very welcome.

A lovely stay, the staff were so friendly, Ahmet and Ghofran both exceptional, I felt very much in good hands and looked after. Wonderful breakfast and homely feel, Osman the cat is a very special part of the place. If you can, take a room with a sea view because at night time it is very special. The location is perfect, just 5 minutes the metro Sishane to get to IST airport but you can also walk everywhere from the hotel, into the old city, to Karakoy for ferries and another metro line and the area around the hotel is buzzing at night, but also nice a quiet as it is down a side street. I will definitely stay again.

From the moment we arrived, the hospitality was outstanding, we felt genuinely welcomed and truly cared for. The staff went above and beyond, offering helpful local advice, checking us in early, and even storing our bags so we could start exploring right away. The cleanliness throughout the property was impressive. Both the rooms and the common areas were spotless and well-maintained, which made our stay all the more comfortable. Breakfast each morning was a real highlight. It was authentic, delicious, and clearly prepared with care, we really appreciated the cultural touch in every bite. The atmosphere of the hotel was absolutely charming. Being family-run, that warmth and personal touch really came through. And the presence of two beautiful cats gave the place a cozy, homelike feel that made us smile every day. Our room had amazing views over the old town, and the location couldn’t have been better. Public transport was close by, and we were able to walk everywhere easily — Galata Tower was just a 4-minute walk, and Hagia Sophia was about 35 minutes away on foot. All in all, it was an exceptional stay that we’d highly recommend.

We loved our stay at the Doruk Palas Hotel! The location is very central to many of the city highlights and shopping areas yet tucked away in a small, quiet lane way, away from the hustle and bustle. The highlight for my family and I during our stay was the exemplary service and attention. The team at Doruk Palas Hotel went above and beyond to ensure our satisfaction and comfort. They knew all our names from day one and even recommended itineraries, restaurants and the best way to get there - all of which were fantastic! They genuinely cared about us enjoying our stay and that we saw the best that Istanbul has to offer. We also loved Othman (the hotel cat), he greeted us every time we showed up in the lobby and one time even decided to join us in our room, which we welcomed so much and made our stay in the hotel even more memorable. The room was clean and spacious and the breakfast was delicious. Thank you for the amazing, passionate service! We felt right at home.

Our stay at the Doruk Palas Hotel was nothing short of exceptional. From the moment we arrived, we were warmly welcomed by Muhammed and Zaltni, whose kindness and heartfelt hospitality will stay with us long after our return. They went above and beyond to make us feel at home. Our room was spacious and offered a breathtaking view on the Golden Horn. Waking up to that view each morning was pure magic. The bed was incredibly comfortable. The hotel’s location is unbeatable : central yet peaceful, allowing easy access to all of Istanbul’s major sights by foot or public transport. When we return to Istanbul, there is no doubt: Doruk Palas Hotel will be our first and only choice. Highly recommended without hesitation: a true home away from home!

We loved our stay at Doruk Palas. Muhammed and his team were exceptional - attentive to every need and very friendly for a chat and recommendations in the area. Communication before our arrival was great as well. Thank you so much! Mr Osman also did his job as security cat very well, and Princess did well at sleeping. Amazing breakfast! Lots of variety and traditional Turkish breakfast foods, which kept us full for hours out sight seeing! The location of the hotel is great, only a few minutes away from the vibrant Galata area, and an easy walk down to Karaköy and over the bridge to the other side. Our room had everything we needed, and was very comfortable for our stay. Thank you to the house keeping team for making it lovely again for our return each evening. Thank you to everyone - we wouldn't hesitate to stay here again if visiting Istanbul!
