The place is a brand new hotel, everything works smoothly. Spacious and very clean big room,king size, comfy bed and spot on bathroom . The staff are super friendly and very professional , help you with all your requests.

Smell of cigarettes in the building and also in the room(not that much). The trams running so close to the hotel all days (6AM to midnight) .

An affordable hotel in the city center. - Great location: all major attractions are within a 10-minute walk. - Very hospitable staff, always ready to help 24/7. - Clean enough, and most of the amenities in the room were in working order.

- Very noisy: if you are a light sleeper, it’s hard to get any rest. Tram noise from 6 AM to 12 AM, restaurants under the window, neighbors taking showers, phone ringing at the reception, etc. - Charging socket looked strange (just a hole in the wall). - The air conditioner didn’t work (I didn’t need it during my stay, but it could be a problem in the summer). - Very small room: suitable only for one person.

One of the most beautiful hotels you can stay in Istanbul. The room is very clean and family-friendly, and the hospitality is wonderful. The staff are very cooperative and ethical, and they helped me with many things. They are extremely friendly. The hotel has an excellent location in Sirkeci. Everything is available. The ferries at Eminonu Port are very close, and the tram station is very close. The whole area is full of restaurants and a shopping mall. This hotel is really beautiful, very safe and clean, and the rooms have a European feel. The thing I enjoyed most is that the level of customer service is very high. They provided me with transportation to and from Istanbul Airport, and whenever I asked about an address, they would explain it and write it down in detail. In addition, the internet is very strong and free. The staff there are really great and were above my expectations. This is the hotel I will stay in every time. Thank you to all the staff and those in charge of managing this hotel.

A Truly Unforgettable Stay. The location is perfect, close to everything, and the rooms are clean and comfortable just like the photos. What stood out the most was the exceptional staff; they treat you like a guest in their own home. Mr. Farhat was extremely professional and helped us choose a wonderful tour that added so much to our experience. Mr. Abdurrahman was also incredibly kind and made us feel very welcome with his warm and friendly manner. A special thanks as well to the outstanding housekeeping team for their daily care and attention to cleanliness. I felt safe and completely at ease throughout my stay. I will definitely be coming back to Turkey and to Mara Old City Hotel.

The location is absolutely perfect—right in the heart of the Old City, just a short walk from major landmarks like the Hagia Sophia, Blue Mosque, and Topkapi Palace. It’s the ideal base for exploring Istanbul on foot! My room was clean, stylish, and very comfortable. I loved the attention to detail and the peaceful atmosphere, even though the hotel is centrally located. The breakfast was delicious, fresh, and served with a lovely view—such a great way to start the day! If you’re looking for the perfect mix of comfort, hospitality, and location in Istanbul, Mara Oldcity Hotel is the place to stay. Location: The hotel is perfectly located in the heart of Istanbul, in the Fatih district. Many of the city’s major attractions are within a 10-minute walk, and the tram station is just a few minutes away, making it super easy to get around. Room: The accommodation was phenomenal! The rooms look exactly like the photos — clean, well-maintained, and very cozy. Housekeeping was done daily, and everything smelled fresh and pleasant from the moment we entered. The room had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. Hospitality: A huge thank you to Aslan and the reception team! They were incredibly kind, helpful, and always in a good mood. They offered great tips, helped us whenever needed, and made us feel right at home. Their warm attitude made our stay even more memorable. We’ll definitely come back to Istanbul — and when we do, we’re booking this hotel again without a second thought!

The staff were extremely friendly and helpful. Although small, very clean and simple room. The location is elite, walkable to most landmarks. Close to major train, ferry and tram stations. 2 minute walk to Sirkeci station, very easy to get to both airports. Comfy beds.

Overall nothing, would definitely book again! Some light noise from other guests walking past your room or from the street/trams outside. Seemed to die down after midnight anyway and wasn't enough to disrupt my sleep or be a major problem. Small shower head to fit under if you're a tall person. Hand held attachment provided as well which made it easier.

Very centrally located to Egyptian spice bazaar, Galata Bridge and public transport. Good value for money. I arrived very early in morning. The day manager was very friendly and accommodated me for early check in once previous guest checked out and room got cleaned. He helped me store luggages. Room was spacious and well equipped.

Some minor renovation flaws such as gap between wall and bathroom door, gap between light switch panel & wall and 2 random pipes sticking out of wall, which compromised esthetics, but didn’t pose any safety issues for me. Walls are thin and not well sound proved. My ground floor room faces toward street, which can be noisy from passing by public transports and street activities.

This is definitely one of the best values you can get anywhere! The room was spotless and, despite being small, was well organized (and the shower was great!). The staff was extremely friendly, responsive, and helpful. The location was probably the best you can get in Istanbul for a tourist who wants to visit the main attractions. All this for an unbeatable price! Will definitely choose again if I plan to stay again in the European side of Istanbul!
