Fantastic upgrade to the rooms. King size bed could fit 3 to 4 people. The new tiled floors were extra clean. The shower had great pressure and HOT water. The only thing missing was a mini refrigerator, however, my cooler made due. The location is an easy 5 minute walk to the beach, 15 min walk to downtown Morro Bay's Embarcadero. Easy on and off access to HWY 1. Bike path, park and recreation area's are right there. All in all a great experience and value for the price!

There was no mini refrigerator in the room. The parking lot was flooded due to the heavy rain. You need a better drainage system for the parking lot.

I have to say the beds in the room this stay were great! Not sure if they changed out the beds with the remodel or if it was just this room had a better mattress then the room we stayed in the last time (before remodel). We all slept great. Same amazing staff love my morning chats with the gal there over coffee. She always has great suggestions for places to stop and see or eat at. Been going for Morro bay for 30 years but things change ,owners change ,quality changes ,she's usually in the loop.

Ac\heater unit had an issue. The motel was unaware of it. The weather was good just needed to cool down the room a bit and was able to do that a bit but none of the functions worked other than AC. It would have been nice to take the chill out of the air in the morning but we just threw on our warm clothes.

I liked it was renovated to a modern look and really close to the water just a walk or short drive away to a little path down to the water. The hotel was actually pretty clean overall. It has a microwave and a mini fridge so that’s a plus. Check in was super easy and staff was friendly. Overall good for a nights stay

I did have some hairs on my pillow case :( but the sheets were all clean. The beds were uncomfortable though I woke up sore especially since the pillows are super thin and you only get 2 each bed. I asked for more but other guest had already asked before me so there were no more.

The rooms are very small and the walls are very thin. We had a microwave, but no fridge. The beds were clean and comfortable. The bathrooms were clean. But the towels had brown spots on them. It was gross! Nice location, you can walk to the beach easily. They have coffee in the lobby. There is also a little park behind the hotel which my little guy loved. All in all I would stay there again. I would just bring my own towel.

Rooms are smaller than I remember, it has been a few years since I’ve stayed at this particular motel 6. AC is right up against one of the beds. Not enough pillows My room was supposed to be two queen beds. These are full size beds.

The motel is a great location right off the freeway and easy to find. It is not far from the Morro Rock beach and Main Street in Morro Bay. Also, if you have children traveling with you, there is a park area just across the parking lot with swings and slides to play on as well as bbq pit and benches.

I would have loved to have spent more time here.

we drive all night arrivingvery early. Night clerk was a lil rude. Returned after walking the beach and thus time the clerk was friendly and welcoming. She checked us is early and made our day. I would recommend this motel price is perfect for what you get. A clean room shower air all on the beach.

Didn't like the nite clerk much, but I did mist likely wake him up at 5 am sooo he probably is a nice guy,

I stayed at this particular Motel 6 due to its location at the start of the San Luis Obispo Bike Club's annual Lighthouse Century, an organized bike ride from Morro Bay to beyond San Simeon. The proprietors were very aware of the event and allowed me to leave my car in the lot while I did the ride.

The proprietors provided complimentary coffee starting at 7 a.m. I would have preferred to have coffee at 6 a.m. :)

It was clean the beds were very comfortable

We checked in on Friday and then Saturday morning we left out and expecting our room to be clean but it wasn't cleaned that was a disappointment and I asked the front desk do we have to ask for a room to be clean he said no and I don't know why they didn't clean it

The room was beautiful. Newly renovated and very clean. The nicest Motel 6 we’ve stayed in.

The stairways and hallways leading up to the room felt a little bit dirty / older. But this is a very minor issue. Overall, we are always pleasantly surprised when we stay at Motel 6’s in California. And we LOVE Morro Bay. Thank you for being an affordable option 🙏!
