The hotel was walking distance (.5 miles) from the Amtrack station, arriving after dark, the sidewalks were well lit and very manageable. Greeted upon arrival and promptly checked in, all went very smooth. The night desk attendant was very approachable. Friendly and informative, she gave several suggestions for late night dining close by, easily managed, limited obstacles and within walking distance. Out and back, the suggestions were great. Our room was quite comfortable. The temperature of our room was maintained with consistency that we rarely experience, LOVED it for sleeping. The bed was quite welcoming and comfy after a coastal train ride and late walk. The shades blocked the morning light perfectly, so our morning sleep remained undisturbed. We had both firm and soft pillows. Our room and especially the bathroom was exceptionally clean. That was really noticed! Breakfast was just what we needed, and we were not disappointed. It was well thought out, displayed and maintained throughout the appointed time frame. The hot items were hot, and the cold items were cold. The day staff was just as friendly and helpful as the night staff. Awesome tips and suggestion such as how to maneuver around the city by streetcar, suggesting a day pass, best tip ever! The Staff that we encounter and those that we just observed while there were all very engaging, cordial, detail oriented and seemed to truly enjoy their job. Very Refreshing. This might seem long, but you asked, and it's nice to be able to recognize those that make your experience and day better.

Was a cool place better than the Hylton around the corner n cheaper. Old building was cool and funky vibe. Desk worker was very cool n helpful !

The breakfast at this place was pretty lacking. Had no milk for cereal for the kids. Pancake machine was broken. For a holiday inn this was pretty lame. This is one of the perks for staying at holiday inns with kids. The lady working the breakfast was grumpy and didn’t care. We stay at a lot of HOLIDAY Inns while competing. This one gets a zero in the complimentary breakfast department.

Charmaine at the front desk was very professional. I reported the first morning our shower was not working. She told maintenance but the next morning it still did not work. Before I said anything, Charmaine asked if our shower was repaired. She made sure the shower was repaired the second day. Great employee! The location is excellent, close to train station, WWII Museum, hop on hop off bud, made it easy to see everything.

IGH holiday inn express's services including room, breakfast and locations are wonderful and perfect! The best thing above all is the location is very close to public transportation around 7 min walk to bus stop (Julia and O'Keefe for W2 or W3) to down town new Orleans, where ( main library) E2 bus to the airport for $ 2 only! All the bus drivers i met are so nice , friendly and very helpful!

I didn't like myself arrangement and not enough time to enjoy my stay in New Orleans, still many places left i want to visit, I hope next time i can visit all the best historic wonderful places!

I really didn't like to see the amount of plastic that is used and thrown away. At breakfast, everything was plastic, the cutlery, plates, and all these were wrapped in more plastic. Every day at breakfast a huge amount of plastic was discarded. I believe that Holliday Inn as such a big chain should endeavor to reduce the amount of plastic used and thrown away as part of its operations. Holiday Inn should aim to be a leader in the market in a sustainable way. This would be the only reason why I would consider not staying at a Holiday Inn

That it was close and walking distance from a-lot of things ! Didn’t really need a vehicle unless you want to go to the mall or was looking to go to somewhere specific or far away.

That its still under construction. Site did have a mold leak on the ceiling. Also water does not reach a true “hot” it’s more of a luke warm. But hey you get what you pay for ! But for it to be a weekend with events it’s affordable !

I have been to New Orleans at Mardi Gras time, and this hotel is at the perfect location for parades as it is right on the parade route, St Charles Avenue. Also, it was in a safe neighborhood, and there were many beautiful restaurants. It is not in the most touristic side of New Orleans; French Quarter, but everywhere is within walking distance. The location is also very convenient as it is right in the middle of the Garden District, French Quarter, and Tremé, three main neighborhoods to visit. The room was spotless, the bed was very comfortable, and the view was great, looking to the Memorial. All the staff, from the lady in the breakfast area to everyone in the lobby, were very friendly. Before arriving, I made a few requests, and they were all taken care of.

Homeless people slept on doorstep (security keeps doors closed) expensive outdoor parking behind hotel (120$/3 days)= risky (Cartheft,break in...) tiny rooms & equally tiny bathroom (lacks storage space for suitcases etc) unfriendly uncaring reception by some at reception desk .Safe in room did not work & no solution offered - repairs on the way in hallways....

The entire stay was very nice and such a great area to tourists attractions all within walking distance! The staff was friendly and very professional! The only downside is that You need to offer free parking at one of these premium parking spaces they are expensive . $56 per night for 24 hr parking is very expensive

the location was top notch! It had us in between the French quater and the garden district. the trolley was right outside put door which made it really convenient. We prefer to stay at locations that offer breakfast (so we can get our days started earlier) and this one was perfect. We were in town a week before Mardi Gras, they even has parades happening, and the view of the parade from our room was priceless. the staff was very kind. this was our second time staying here and we'll continue to select this location!

we didn't understand why housekeeping didn't clean the room daily. It looks like rooms.dont get cleaned until every 5th day but didn't explain why.
