The area is very convenient. It is very close to the Mall of Emirates just 5 minutes walk. There you can take the metro. You can also get a taxi from the hotel, there is always someone waiting outside. The staff is very polite and helpful. The breakfast has many options to choose, they even make you omelets as you want them. They clean the room every day and bring complimentary water. Rooms are large and comfortable. The complimentary shower gels and lotions are the best I have used in a hotel of this category. The bar is nice and serves alcohol. There is also a small convenient store inside the hotel. For the price we paid for our stay it was very very good!!

The bathroom needs some renovation and better cleaning. The ventilation in the bathroom wasn't working and no window could be opened in the room for some fresh air. Also they only put towels (for the body) and nothing for the hands or face. We didn't ask because I always bring my own. The lighting in the room is not bright. As I have read in other reviews, there is loud music and noise until late. Breakfast can be improved like better quality in juices and pastry. Instead of all these we had a nice time and I would consider staying again in this hotel when I return to Dubai.!

Very nice and helpful staff , variety breakfast , the room was very big , free lookers for the luggage and lot of shops, barber , supermarkets , laundry and street food around the hotel .

The prices were different when you were ordering in the room . You couldn’t go yourself to buy something for take a way , all the time they were saying please order from the room .

The staff were amazing... particularly Ramy , Latifa, Ayoub & valet driver Khalid who went above and beyond to ensure that we were comfortable, happy and had peace of mind with leaving our luggage in storage after our stay. Comfortable rooms with all amenities. Good location and easy to move around shopping malls and restaurants close by.

The staff at the check-in desk were polite and professional, Alaa and Rania in particular was really sweet! The shopping center near to the hotel and shuttle to beach was good.

The staff was helpfuly and nice all the time. Specially our housekeeper Michael was present everitime if we need something. He mentein everyday the room clean (towels, bedshits, everything was necesary). It is located a 15-minute walk from Emirates Mall, from where you can take the metro or bus to any direction, which was useful for us during our stay.

The room smelled old and musty, possibly due to the fact that the ventilation system is closed-circuit and the windows cannot be opened for fresh air. Shuttle bus to the beach or to the mall wasn't all the time available. Any inconvenience was compensated by the kindness of the staff🙂

Big hotel with perfect location, friendly staff, very clean from inside, the lifts are excellent, clean and comfortable room, good speed Internet, the bed Is very clean and comfortable also, bathroom is spacious and clean with 24 hours hot water, I enjoyed the stay, special thanks to Mr. Halim from house keeping who keep my room very clean every day, and to Mr. Jeffrey at hotel lobby.

TV screen is very old, the kettle also need to be changed, hotel view from outside looks dirty, breakfast buffet is average, not exceptional, no bathrobe

Clean and comfy hotel We had a wonderful stay . Gently refurbished, preserving the old art deco details and yet with a fresh and up-to-date feel. clean and lots of space. Wonderfull breakfast with a choice ,great value for money ..space for luggage, tea/coffee offered every day..also Hospitality, kindness, politeness was one in that receptionist *ranya thanks to her for making our stay unforgettable and for all her help

If they could just reduce the music coming from the night club its will be amazing..

I had a wonderful stay at this hotel! The rooms were clean, spacious, and very comfortable. What really made the difference was the warm and welcoming service from the staff — especially Rania and Gamal at the reception. They were incredibly helpful, friendly, and always had a smile that made us feel at home. Thanks to them, check-in and check-out were smooth and quick, and she even shared some great local tips. Price was very cheap for the value. Highly recommended, and I’d definitely come back!

I didn’t like that when I asked for a plate or water glass, they didn’t provide it. The window was sealed so I couldn’t get fresh air, and there was some noise from the nightclub and bar at night, though not very disturbing. Overall, still a good stay for the price.

We were two people staying at the Grand Excelsior Hotel, and overall, we had a great experience. The hotel has a unique and elegant design that resembles a boat, which gives it a charming and memorable atmosphere. Our room was very comfortable, clean, and cozy — everything we needed for a relaxing stay. The breakfast was excellent, with plenty of variety and good quality. The hotel also offers a great selection of evening activities, which is perfect if you want to enjoy your night without going far. Best of all, the price was very reasonable for what you get. We felt like we got great value for our money. We highly recommend the Grand Excelsior Hotel — it’s stylish, well-equipped, and offers a lot for its price range.

Very comfortable, excellent staff and well located for exploring

Our only gripe was the excursion team in the lobby whose sole purpose was to extract as much money from tourists as they could. We bought a skydive off them, agreed and paid for the more expensive one over the palm and they booked us in for a cheaper desert jump and kept the difference. They lied and tricked us all the way through, took our money and messed up the booking so we couldn’t even do that jump. They didnt respond to calls from the jump team and took three hours at the jump site to get them to fill in the form properly to allow us to do. Management of the hotel said they were independent despite the fact they were in their lobby. Bunch of charletons - message is if you want to do any excursions, do it direct online with the company and not with these incompetent crooks
