Very enjoyable food - well presented -well cooked. Couldn't fault the veg curries especially, or any of the veg food. Service was excellent. Rooms very comfortable. Staff, without exception, were helpful, friendl y, and most importantly - very attentive towards our dog. Lovely atmosphere. Enjoyed being down by the lake watching dragonflies, damsel flies, the ever watchful heron and of course, the stars of the show: the ?mother swan and cygnets. Daddy swan seemed to be missing. As swans generally mate for life, I was fearful for what might have happened to him

Forgot to mention when we were there that one of the windows in the room didn't open properly; but you've probably fixed that by now. Room 204. Hot water for tea at breakfast not really hot enough and I didn't seem to get a really enjoyable cup of coffee out of the machine.

We booked the Copthorne Hotel Cardiff-Caerdydd last minute after a long 5+ hour drive to visit and adopt a dog. We needed a place for three nights, and I am so glad we came across this hotel. From the moment we walked through the door, the staff were absolutely amazing and looked after us with genuine care and warmth. A special thank you to Dianna and Joanne, who went above and beyond to ensure our stay was perfect, their kindness, flexibility, and dedication to customer comfort truly stood out. The customer service here is second to none, and it made all the difference during our trip. Thank you for making our stay so smooth, relaxing, and memorable. I honestly can’t wait to return — next time, hopefully under less last-minute circumstances! Highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for outstanding service and a warm welcome.

It would have been amazing to use the pool and the gym but understand that it had only just reopened and looking forward to returning to try these facilities out.

Staff were very friendly and efficient. Room was a good size, bathroom had lots of hot water with good pressure. Restaurant/bar served nice food with a good menu. Hotel has undergone a bit of a makeover with nice new carpets and curtains. Good location on the outskirts of Cardiff. Near by massive M@S plus Tescos and Mac Donald’s.

No Aircon in bedrooms. Some of the fittings in the bathroom are in need of a refund like the taps. No USB plugs. With the windows open there was quite a bit of road noise especially in during morning rush hour. These items were minor especially when considering the price we paid. Would not hesitate to book again.

The bar was refurbished and renovated and looked lovely. The views of the lake from the bar is nice and the value for money is great. Breakfast was nice too and a big selection. Also has a lift. Close to shops, Tesco, m and s etc. Waitresses and bar staff and receptionist were lovely and friendly.

When we arrived, the manager was speaking to the receptionist about an issue and continued to speak to her while we were there which I thought was unprofessional and if she was being disciplined it could have been done later. Rooms are dated but for the money it's understandable.

We had a really good time at the Copthorne Hotel Cardiff. The room was spacious, clean, and comfortable, with plenty of space even after adding an extra bed for our son — which was a big plus for us as a family. Breakfast was excellent, with a great selection of hot and cold options, and everything was fresh and well presented. The staff were friendly and helpful throughout our stay, making us feel welcome from the moment we arrived. Overall, a lovely experience and we would definitely stay here again!

The hotel was clean and the staff were excellent.. very welcoming and went out of their way to help. The food was okay and the cleanliness generally was fine.. the hotel is ideal for a short trip but the facilities need a little updating in general. Overall it was ideal for our short trip.

Facilities were not that great and the food options were somewhat limited, but we were so well looked after that these things didnt matter at all.

Room was really nice, with comfortable bed and excellent facilities. Staff were highly efficient and very friendly. Breakfast was generous and very tasty. A special mention to Diane, the young lady who checked us in. Her service was exceptional and she made us feel very welcome, and at home, from the moment we arrived. Will definitely stay again if in the area.

Everything was great and exceeded expectations.

The hotel was in a quiet area only about 15 minutes from Barry and also close to Cardiff Airport. There are shops just across the road to pick up things which we had forgotten. The staff were very friendly and welcoming. The food was excellent. We sat having dinner looking over the lake watching the swans and ducks. Loved the pancake making machine at breakfast.

We checked in at 11:45pm but in room there was now drinking water normally every hotel keep water minimum in line with number of guests stay
