A lovely bright clean room, the Cardross Inn staff were all very friendly and put on an amazing buffet for my dad's wake, well done guys 😊 Louise who dealt with my booking was very accommodating and helpful and very thoughtful, a great staff member

There was no mirror in room no.2 other than in the bathroom so if you're drying or straightening your hair it is a bit of a problem, also could do with a wastepaper bin as the only bin was a very small one in the bathroom so all empty bottles of water, coffee,tea, sugar and milk sachets from room complementaries had to go in the bathroom bin

Friendly local inn that is very much part of the community separate dinning and bar areas.Breakfast was excellent with lots of choices for even the largest of appetites.They also offer afternoon teas lunches and dinner if required we had the steak pie which was very tasty .The room was smaller than expected but bed was comfy and the bathroom large with a shower had recently been refurbished.The courtesy tray was nice with chocolate wafers provided. Plenty of parking and out side seating area if required. The inn Is situated in the heart of the village opposite the golf club and there is several grocery and paper shops a short walk away.The railway station is also nearby if travelling by train.A good location for a break in journey if you are travelling to the lochs or the west highlands.

Michael was super friendly and attentive on arrival, something I have sadly got used to not having in the UK hospitality industry. He was knowledgable and happy to share information about the area while also allowing us the space to enjoy our meal & stay. They are super dog friendly and there is always a treat for a good boy. The room was so comfortable, bedding was super soft and cool which was well appreciated in July. It was easy to find, easy to communicate any changes to our arrangements, ample parking and a really tasty meal.

As there was no mirror in the bedroom, let alone a floor length one, I would have then appreciated the bathroom mirror being mist-free so getting make up on after showers wasn’t the easiest task. The floor was creaky as expected from such a lovely old building and while this didn’t bother us and we didn’t hear any neighbours, I cannot say the same for a light sleeper or anyone staying below us. I would also recommend they update their menus online, cocktail prices have gone up by 50% and food menu has changed drastically.

Nice accommodation, clean & tidy, lovely restaurant with modern food choices, although portions were huge, could review portion size & then price. There was a separate drinkers bar that was welcoming, parking OK, there was live music on the night we stayed, which was nice. Breakfast was amazing, we opted for the full Scottish, 11 items appeared, all cooked well, but those with less an appetite there was plenty of other options available.

Having travelled 5 hours to get to accommodation as stopping over on way further up the Highlands, didn't want to be late to bed, the double bed was in fact two singles pushed together, disappointing and uncomfortable, as bedroom directly over restaurant, the restaurants music speakers which are ceiling mounted made sleeping a challenge, then with a couple of rowdy locals at closing time it was 1am before fell asleep. Would I stay again, yes, but ask for a different room (room3)

The staff were lovely and were very accommodating throughout our stay, even placing a basket of toiletries in themain ladies bathroom which we felt was a lovely little touch. The room was small but well presented, comfortable and the bathroom was a huge plus point with a stunning bath and lovely toiletries!! Would definitely stay here again.

There was an issue on our second morning and the chef was late getting in to the hotel, as a result, we waited an hour and 15 minutes for breakfast which wasn't then as we had ordered so we were very disappointed with the breakfast this morning and barely had anything to eat and we were only offered one coffee during that time. The restaurant wasn't busy so no excuse really. We felt this let things down overall.

Excellent value for money: the room was cosy and well appointed, the bathroom was fabulous (although the limited ceiling height meant it had a bath with a shower head, rather than a stand up shower), and the breakfast was outstanding and far exceeded our expectations given the cost of our stay. The busy bar was very atmospheric, with a friendly mix of locals and visitors, and dinner in the restaurant was also excellent (our steaks were cooked to perfection!). Staff were lovely throughout and we would highly recommend Cardross Inn for both dinner and an overnight stay.

Large bundles of laundry on the stairs outside our room were a trip hazard. The bathroom door was difficult to close from the bedroom, and wasn't in keeping with the excellent quality of the bathroom fittings.

Our entire experience at Cardross Inn was brilliant. We chose this quiet spot for our last night in Scotland before heading home to Australia. It was 25 minutes from the airport (rental car drop off in Paisley). From the moment we arrived until we left, we could not have been more welcome. The receptionist was cheerful, and showed us to our rooms, small, but very modern, exceptionally clean, and well equipped. We went downstairs to have a drink, and walked into the bar next to the restaurant, there were 10+ locals having a drink, and they welcomed us like long lost friends. The food in the restaurant was fresh, huge portions, and served with the biggest smiles. The manager even came and said hello whilst we ate. The best food we ate in Scotland.

Absolutely nothing...

Lovely staff, incredibly helpful throughout (& very friendly towards the small, four legged member of our family). We were able to drop off a bag early in the day which was waiting for us in the room when we checked in later. The food at dinner was also top notch.

Bed had a big dip in the middle which made it a little less comfortable. Breakfast was a bit noisy, with two separate sources of music & also the cleaner with a hoover nearby.

The building,decor and outside area was so warm and welcoming, the staff and regulars where lovely people, we really did feel so comfortable, the breakfast was cooked fresh also beautiful and the main meals were just as good, I would definitely recommend the cardross inn to family and friends, thank you for a lovely stay.

Our only complaint is that the bed was too small and the TV was too high up on the wall.

Loved the breakfast and the food options for evening meal were great. The staff were welcoming and kind and understanding as I was visiting for a funeral - specifically the bar manager (didnt catch his name) and Rachel the cleaner. They made an effort to seat me separately and went out of their way to help me out sorting travel options.

Only criticism was the double bed was two singles pushed together and i kept falling down the crack.
