Lovely helpful and friendly receptionists, both at check in and check out. Air conditioning! What a brilliant surprise! Shared a room with my dog on a hot day, so this was a real bonus. Well laid out and clean room- great to have sockets where they are needed. My room had a nice view of the trees, so even though the hotel is located at a service station it felt secluded. Parking was very reasonable (£3 for 24 hours) and you’re able to come and go with the parking card, which is great.

I would have preferred a kettle and coffee in the room, although hot drinks are available free in the reception lobby. It is a budget hotel though and for the price it’s a very minor issue, and had I been on my own wouldn’t have even been an issue at all.

Great value for money and in an ideal location for Donington Park. Room was very clean and the beds were very comfortable. No facilities for making tea or coffee in the bedroom, but free tea and coffee was available in reception. Air conditioning was a great bonus in the bedroom. Buffet breakfast had a good selection of food and there was plenty of it. Staff were really friendly, helpful and welcoming. Plenty of other eating options located within the complex as well as a filling station. We will definitely be back next time we are going to the races.

Having to leave.

The food and breakfast, the pizza in the evening, the free tea, coffee and hot choc as much as we want. was great. The shower was easy to use and clean and the bed comfortable plus use of the TV. The issue was there was no plug near the full length mirror to dry and style my hair. I had to sit on the double bed some distance as that was the length of my hairdryer when plugged at the socket by the side of the double bed. The aesthetics of the room is bright and pristine but it isn't warm and homely and comforting enough. I think it's the colour green contrasted with the white. They are not warm colours. But it was a space we called our own and felt ok while we were there. Easy access and ample space for car parking too and free for disabled people

As above

I have stayed at the Ibis, Willington, Derby multiple times. The rooms are clean and comfortable. The rooms are smaller than some other hotels but still room for luggage. This is a more basic hotel although it now has a bar in the dining area in the evening which is a nice touch. The staff are always friendly. For the price, this is a great place to stay with easy access to the A38 and A50 and about 10 minutes from Derby. There are lots of dining options too from the Cherry Tree Inn Carvery (opposite) to little country pubs and the Mercia Marina.

The barrier to exit the car park is difficult to use as my arms appear to be the "wrong length" for the design engineer's plan for world domination. Apart from that little grumble, my multiple return visits over 10 years says a lot.

The staff were amazing and so genuinely lovely. I felt very at home (well, as much as you can feel whilst being away) and despite not feeling great when arriving after a long day, the ibis team soon put a big smile on my face and I soon forgot about the long day I just had. From being welcomed to being served food they were amazing. Speaking of amazing, the food served for evening meal was something worthy of an expensive restaurant, all be it at a reasonable price. I cant speak highly enough about the girls (and guys) who run this place on a day to day. Clean rooms and a hot shower to finish the day made it an altogether great day. Thanks again ladies, and special thanks again to chef. These guys need a pay rise for sure.

Having to go to work every day of my stay.

Good sized room, very quiet location, very comfortable bed, large car park. The room was clean and has a separate toilet room and shower room. The basin is located in the room.

The breakfast was a little lacking. No rolls, only bread for toasting and I do like a bowl of fruit pieces to have with yoghurt - there was yoghurt but only a bowl with whole apples, oranges in it. I do prefer a kettle in my room so I can make a cuppa at any time instead of going down to reception to make one. But these are small quibbles really.

For a budget hotel this ticks all the boxes for me , competitive pricing , and facilities as described. Staff are friendly and helpful the beds (new nattresses) are extremely comfy &the room was clean and comfortable with everything in order. I didn't have breakfast or dinner but the menu looked good with reasonable prices. There is onsite parking too, as well as nearby places to eat at the services , such as independent cafe, pub, supermarket section at the petrol station. Nearby is the village of Willington with local pubs , supermarkets etc. I've stayed here twice now and woukd do so again.

The only thing I think the rooms could do with is a hairdryer, but you can borrow from reception if needed

Great rooms and very clean and comfortable and very reasonable priced excellent if you are on a budget.

On the last morning, I decided to have breakfast. When I went to get breakfast, it said on posters that you eat all you can breakfast with pictures of what they have to offer at the buffet. When I got to get breakfast, the hot breakfast had run out of hash browns, bacon, and mushrooms with 3 ladies in attendance who checked and saw this. We had to wait 5 minutes before the hash brown came out and 10 before the bacon arrived out and the mushrooms were never replaced. The time was 8.30 am so dear help the people who came after myself. Eat all you can. breakfast means that all food on offer should be available all the time. I was very disappointed with their breakfast.

We were just after a place to rest our heads for the night and this suited us perfectly - Lovely fresh & vibrant look as recently had a renovation. The staff were pleasant. Coffee & Tea were on offer at your own convenience. Great location right by Subway & a petrol station but not far from the township if you require more

The smell of silage on arrival & departure was a downfall. It’s also a shame that you have to pay for the parking. Although it is only £3 per 24hrs, you should be able to have at least 1 car per family especially when you have to buy 2 rooms for a family of 5 due to being over by 1 member.
