Second visit to the hotel. Very happy with majority of aspects of the stay.

Problem with car park for myself and 2 other guests in my group which resulted in us all, on separate occasions have to park the vehicle again, go to reception and resolve an issue with the barrier, ticket and payment. On 2 of the occasions it was resolved relatively quickly by staff and charge removed for inconvenience. However, one of our members, who had to wait the longest, approx 10 minutes did not have this charged removed, whilst all the other guests around him encountering the same problem, and waiting less time than him had their charges removed - no parity, very unfair which upset him slightly.

My room was lovely and no problems, although one day there was no toilet paper or tissues in it but the staff quickly fixed that small issue. The staff were very friendly and welcoming to me, and other guests that I saw. The car park was fine also. I do think that the sign on the building is a bit hidden though when you are first trying to find it. Would you consider putting up some road sign or a more illuminated sign to make it more visible. I arrived in poor weather late at night after a very long drive, car ferry and car trip from Dublin to Aberdeen in one day and it was a little hard to find it as other hotels, Crowne Plaza block it a bit from the road. You do have a sign high up on the far left of the building visible from the road but it is not the most illuminated sign, just a thought to help future travellers find it.

Perhaps one or two other choices for food on the dinner menu? There was no porridge option in the breakfast but the hot breakfast was lovely. The coffee machine is not the greatest though - a bit slow and may not be the best taste. Very acceptable though.

Staff where excellent. Breakfast staff especially yanina (sorry about spelling) was so nice happy and helpful, . Breakfast choice was good, was hot plentiful and replenished very well. Room was nice and bed comfortable, also the night blue light in the bathroom was a great help and well thought out, location to airport and p n J live arena was excellent. Bar area looked lovely. Overall a very nice experience all round.

In the bedroom the seal at the bottom of the shower needed a really good clean and one lamp was very loose by the bed. Apart from these minor things everything was excellent.

Having stayed at most of the other hotels at the airport this was our 1st time trying this hotel and it was a great experience. Check in was easy and the young guy on reception was really friendly and made us feel very welcome. The room was comfortable and had everything we needed for an overnight stay. Breakfast was very good and set us up nicely for our journey ahead. Conveniently located and an easy walk to the airport. The thing that set this hotel apart from the others we have stayed in was our encounters with the staff, they were all lovely and really friendly and made our short stay a pleasure.

The welcome of the staff is genuine and how we remember and wish for true hospitality to be. Too many of the hotels around now have self check ins and very limited staff and we really like going to The Holiday Inn Express in Dyce (Aberdeen) as you feel safe and cared for during your stay. The breakfast is fresh and staff are regularly checking to replace or add items. Room was clean and had everything we needed for our short stay. What stands out at this hotel is that staff turnover does not seem to be high. It was wonderful to meet Cristopher and the rest of the team and would like to thank each one of them for making our stay special.

I do hope that the Holiday Inn would consider changing their soap/shampoo as the current line they use does not really smell nice (body wash has a parsley base and does smell like you have washed yourself with herbs and veggies).

Excellent location even if not using the airport. Close safe parking. Very friendly welcoming staff - all of them. Clean well equipped room with view of runway but no noise at all. Good choice of food for dinner and breakfast. Dog friendly.

A stupidly left my walking boots in the room. Later the same day of departure I rang reception to tell them what I had done. They assured me the room would be checked and they would ring me back. 2 days later I have not as yet had a reply to my phone call or message sent. I cling to the hope that Holiday Inn have a clear policy on lost property and I will be contacted soon 🤞🏻I will ring again tomorrow but am not optimistic about my chances of recovering my property.

Very close to the arena where we were going to see a show, this is why we booked this hotel. Very comfy beds, very clean bathroom and fantastic value for money. Would happily book again if I was needing to be in the area again.

Was a little surprised to see a dog being allowed in the area where we were eating, at breakfast. Although it was very friendly and well behaved, it's just not what you'd expect. Could be off putting for people that are genuinely afraid of dogs or have an allergy.

All the necessities, clean and modern. Had everything we needed for our one night stay. We had breakfast included and pizza after dinner had closed, which was helpful as our flight had been cancelled. Atmosphere was nice in the lobby/restaurant and staff were super friendly and hospitable. Thank you Christopher for looking after us. Bed was so comfortable my daughter was struggling to wake up!

The A/C wasn't working as well as we thought it would, would be helpful to have a guide for using the A/C in the room, as well as FAQs with meal times.

Welcoming and efficient staff. Clean room and excellent breakfast. We really enjoyed the laid back approach at breakfast as there was no rush and there was a great selection of food and drinks. 15 minute walk to AECC.

I found the hotel difficult to find on sat nav and did not see any signage at the road entrance, although other hotels were shown. Perhaps adding a sign at the road end and a note to the website highlighting that the hotel is situated behind the Crowne Plaza would help.

The friendliness of all the staff, waiting staff had a big smile and warm welcome every morning, reception staff, one chap in particular we had a great chat with him and he was very helpful giving us information about buses and different places to see, the location of the hotel is excellent right beside Aberdeen Airport literally 5 mins walk, 727 bus gets you into the city, the bedrooms were spotless, the bed and pillows were extremely comfortable we both had a great night's sleep, tea and coffee facilities, the room was a decent size, the window does not open I reckon because it's super double glazed or something, you could not hear a sound from the airport ( I couldn't believe it) the buffet breakfast was absolutely lovely there was plenty of choice, we were at a concert in P & J live got back to the hotel about 11 : 30 ish starving, we were able to get pizza at that hour, we both really enjoyed our stay and would 100% return to this hotel, it was also excellent value
