It was very clean and comfy, a bit old but that is not a problem at all (I actually like it!). Great location, I walked everyday from there to the city (about 20-30 mins), but they also have bus stops nearby, which I used for going to the zoo and the airport. There are many cafés and restaurants around. And the host was very friendly :)

I had the upper room where there is also a toilet that people from other rooms can use, and I could hear the people when using the toilet (which is not very pleasant). But this is because the house is old and it is actually just a detail.

I travelled with my mom. We both liked it a lot. The house is nice and the rooms have everything we needed (realistically, we would only be in the room to sleep). Beds were comfortable, the room had just the right temperature, and the bathroom, although small, was not an issue whatsoever. The location was great too. We walked a couple of times into town but mainly took the bus, which was quite easy as pretty much 6-7 buses that passed by often were useful. Overall, our stay was really good and we would recommend it to anyone who is thinking of visiting Edinburgh

Genuinely, no complaints

Nice and quiet place, comfortable bed, very friendly and helpful owner (he stored my luggage and called a private hire car for airport as it was cheaper than Uber). I'd definitely book again.

Location is not next to the city center and the tourist attractions. If it is not raining and you do not have issues with walking then it is nice 25 min stroll, so I was ok with the location but your mileage may vary. There are plenty of buses travelling by the next street. The room was fairly small, but that seems to be standard for guest houses in Scotland. No breakfast available, but there are cafes nearby.

A beautiful old place in one of the most quiet streets of Edinburgh - the room had everything I needed, and was a great place to relax after a long day walking around the city. Separate thanks to the host which was very helpful at all times:)

The place is a bit old, as were the appliances (which, mind you, were all in working condition) - at one point I had to google how to use the shower head which was about my age:) A small refresh of the room would be great I think

The look of the room was better than expected. The pictures on this page don't represent the beauty of a typical Scottish house. It is 30 min walking for the city centre but there are buses running very often and some bars and pubs nearby if you don't want to walk for so long

The owner should update the pictures

An absolutely lovely B&B in Elgin. The hosts are kind and attentive and easy to chat with. Our room was comfortable, clean, and quiet. The location is about a 10 minute walk from the center, but we selected it for its convienence and free parking. Breaksfasts were an absolutely wonderful start to the day. Overall, a great value for the money charged and a very enjoyable stay.

Cosy Scottish townhouse. Neat, clean, with a wonderful view overlooking Arthur's Seat. The host was very friendly and welcoming. Great 30-minute walk to the city through the green 'Meadows' and Edinburgh University. Fantastic value for money

The property was overall clean, beds were comfortable and the provision of tea, coffee and milk with biscuits was a nice touch. It was quiet, good location to all local transport, shops and a short journey either walking or by public transport to city centre and Portobello beach. Owner was helpful, very friendly and welcoming.

tv kept glitching and external private bathroom the door kept sticking difficult to open quite temperamental.

The room was small but clean and well appointed.

I think it would be good to take out some of the furniture in the room so there would be more room to move about.

Nice location with easy access to Waverley station, and the historic city centre about 20 minutes away via the numerous nearby buses. We had a quiet room and were not bothered by traffic. Rooms were clean, plenty of towels provided, and high ceilings meant they were airy. Very friendly host.

It doesn't have the latest decor, there is no common lounge area and no breakfast is provided, but actually that wasn't a problem.
