Loved the antique style decor, everything was clean, the double room was a good size and the bed was large and extremely comfortable. Check in and check out was also very quick and easy and the the staff were all lovely.

The lift was really cool but a little scary with only a 2 person 150kg weight limit and if there was another way to get upstairs it wasn’t clearly directed so made us a little nervous since we would have exceeded it with bags and have to have 2 trips up/down.

This hotel is a sort of atmospheric place located in a district where you can feel the arts (because of the nearby theater and many art works you can enjoy in the hotel itself), the quietness (which is so different to the central London), the nature (because of the beautiful parks), the history (because of the real and still existing Swiss cottage), the music (because of the lovely but slightly off tuned grand piano), the diversity (because of the cross-cultural food market), the community (just because), etc.

The hotel bar looks like a bit abandoned, some guests could expect a bit more variety in the provided services. There is no much convenient space in a large bathroom to put the amenities. Just a small fridge in the room would be much appreciated by many!

The location was perfect for our needs. I loved the Victorian vibe in the lounge area, especially the furniture and the grand piano. The staff were exceptionally friendly, and the beds were very comfortable. Great value for the price!

The building is quite old, and there’s no air conditioning, which can be uncomfortable during warmer days. If you're in a lower-level bedroom, opening the windows for airflow offers very little privacy. I’d suggest adding awnings or some kind of privacy barrier so guests can leave the windows open without feeling exposed to the street.

I like everything about BW Swiss Cottage. The location is pleasant (a couple of stops from C London, on a quiet road, with plenty of restaurants around), the ambience is quirky and leagues better than a concrete box hotel, staff are unfailingly polite.

Maybe fresh orange juid=ce rather than concentrate for breakfast!

The property is definitely a little old but the cleanliness and comfort compensates! The property was really close to the tube station, local stores, restaurants, and more. We really got the feeling of how residents in London truly live as this hotel is near other residential areas. Staff were incredibly helpful as they always fulfilled our requests. Property didnt have A/C but London is such a chilly city. With the fans that they provided and opening the windows, we were all set. Such a cute little neighborhood and for the price I say it is worth it.

Bathroom is a tad small but doable. No ice machine, microwave, or a little refrigerator. That was pretty inconvenient. The lift is restricted by weight; 150kg is the max. We used it once or twice until we came back from touring and the lift was broken….. we were on the 4th floor so we had to take the stairs. Luckily this happened on our last day.

Really lovely old fashioned town house feel. The lounge area and bar were beautiful. Loved that the cooked breakfast was served to you rather than a buffet style. The staff were really friendly and helpful. The family room was huge, especially for London. Just a stones throw for the tube station. Will definitely stay again.

The floor boards are very creaky due to the age of the building, so if that's something that would bother you, it might not be the right hotel for you.

We had to be in the area for an event, so the location was great. Easy access to the tube - about a 2-3 minute walk. Good value for easy access to Hampstead Heath and the areas around it. We were upgraded to a family suite - it had old-fashioned furniture and high ceilings. And a full size desk, making it easy to get some work done. This is the second time we've stayed there, and the staff is always friendly and helpful.

Those who prefer modern hotels will find it a bit dated, but I think it adds to the charm. Beds were fine, but not plush. No mini fridge in the room, which is uncommon these days.

The location of the Swiss Cottage Hotel is less than 200 yards from Exit 2 of the Swiss Cottage tube stop on the Jubilee line. You can hardly get any closer to the Tube than that!

Water from a stand alone hot water tap is universally boiling hot when it comes out of the tap! It can be very hard to get the water temperature just right by adjusting the hot and cold taps. The secret to getting the water temp right at the Swiss Cottage is to turn on the cold water tap all the way, and then adjust the hot water tap until the water is warm enough for you. The shower curtain also has a tendency to fly into the tub when you take a shower, causing it to stick to your wet body.

Location is really good! It's in a pretty nice and quite neighborhood. Yet, a tube station is only 3 min away. Very easy to get to major tourist attractions like buckingham palace, westminster bridge, borough market even without changing line. Overground station to Euston is also within walkable distance. Nearby also are a tesco and some fast food restaurants which can come in really convenient. My room is spacious (I got an upgrade), free tea bags and instant coffee, and the staff is nice and helpful.

The building is a bit old, and so is the room. Part of the ceiling is a bit worn and peeled off, also some stains on the wall paper. But to be honest no big deal to me, and I think the size of my room sort of compensates for that. A bigger problem coming with the age is probably the sound isolation. I don't hear my neighbor that much when they're in their room but when they open the door and walk in the hallway... oh no. very bad if you want to sleep in.

The location is terrific as l love to walk around Hampstead Village and go on to Hampstead Heath to Highgate Village. Walking through Primrose Hill into Regents Park too. The tube station Swiss Cottage is right on your doorstep. Loved the iron and ironing board and hairdryer.

Tiny thing: l appreciated the bathroom shampoo and soap but it was positioned very high up attached to the wall in the shower and l found that a pain having to reach for them especially if l was having a bath! That saying the products were very nice smelling. Also would have appreciated a moisturizer with the brand.
