I am a regular at this hotel when I am in London for business: I love the quintessentially British atmosphere, the breakfast room, the bar, and the location in Marylebone (lively, central but a little far from the more congested areas of the city center). I always use the single room, which is tiny but comfortable and well equipped.

The breakfast was included in my room rate, but they recently slightly changed the menu and some options are now available only with extra payment, which I found a bit confusing (I had to pay an extra at the end because one morning I've ordered a slightly different omelette than the one listed in the menu...). Also, the service this year was slower and a little bit less efficient than usual.

This was a delightful and traditional English hotel and we loved it for being just that! The staff were all delightful, helpful and willingly carried our bags to our room. Convenient place to stay for London. Taxi ordered by reception arrived on time.

My husband thought our bathroom looked tired - tiles loose on wall above bath. Afternoon tea was just like visiting Granny with the silver teapot, silver milk jug but we would have preferred a slice of real cake and not the mousse like delicacies that were on offer. They reminded me of 'cake' I've seen in Asia and not cake that goes with English afternoon tea.

The staff, location room size . Loved the feel of the hotel it’s old fashioned quirk.

The water pressure! Difficult to enjoy a shower as water pressure nonexistent even from the taps. Only thing that spoilt our stay but a massively important one.

Location was perfect for our needs - very central to everything. I was expecting a small room and was pleased to be 'upgraded'. It was still small but made best use of the space - I was pleasantly surprised. We'd specifically asked for a quiet room, air conditioning and king size bed and that's what we got. We had breakfast - they seemed baffled by my husband's request for a bacon sandwich but he did get one. We also liked the general ambiance and the staff, who couldn't be more helpful.

The coffee at breakfast was dreadful - it tasted as though it had been sitting around keeping warm for several hours. Such a shame. To be honest, if I stayed there again I'd probably go out for a coffee and a croissant somewhere. And obviously the prices of everything - but that's London apparently.

Fantastic find, never stayed here before so didn't know what to expect. It was a really nice typically older London Hotel but in no way dilapidated. It had character and style, kind of boutique type property. What made the difference her was the staff. Genuinely helpful and pleasant. Going out of their way. The manager on duty took top honours for me. I had forgot cuff-links and before i had to buy any more i asked at reception and he kindly loaned me his "spare set own" - what a guy! These very small things make a massive difference to someone like myself and i just wanted to thank him by way of this review and indeed all the team. The guy was a softly spoken Scotsman - Thank you.

couldn't honestly fault apart from no biscuites in the room :)!

Beautiful rooms, dining room is so lovely, the choice of bar areas is wonderful. Always a little nook to find for a lovely drink. The staff are very friendly, and as we were travelling with a wheelchair, the staff were so helpful and attentive.

It was a shame that there isn't a permanent ramp for wheelchair access, although the staff were very good with getting the ramp in and out for us, it work be nice to be able to enter/exit the hotel independently. The wheelchair accessible room we were given for my friend, was very very small, we had to rearrange furniture to fit the wheelchair into the room.

The location is great and the hotel is classy. The staff are friendly and welcoming.

Rooms are small (typical for London) and you could hear every noise from the hallway or neighboring rooms.

Superb service throughout our stay; front desk and advisory desk excellent and always happy to help; lovely room with plenty of space and a pleasant view; cleaning team10/10; meals and service top class. Close to Bond Street Station, Regent and Oxford Streets and the great Regents Park and Hyde Park. Overlooks the Wallace Collection. Thoroughly recommended.

Excellence takes some beating.

Location, atmosphere, size (not too big), furnishings, staff

I was in Room 105 which was a double, but in my opinion it was too small for that. There was insufficient drawer space for one, let alone 2 and the bathroom, although newly equipped, was cramped. The restaurant was excellent but expensive. I went there for dinner on one night, but otherwise I ate out. Bar is cosy and friendly and reception space is good

This was my third stay at the Durrants: I always stay in a small single room, which is well appointed and comfortable. What I like most is the very British atmosphere of the hotel, the lovely and warm common spaces, the beautiful breakfast room where an excellent breakfast is served every morning. Location is also convenient and the neighborhood is very nice, full of cafes and restaurants. I can almost walk everywhere from there in the center of town.
