Everything! The rooms were beautiful, comfortable and warm and room service was quick and location is perfect for shopping in Oxford street and near the Park.

Just would be better having a toilet on same level as the Dining Room and tables to eat off as coffee tables are a bit awkward to eat with a knife and fork - small details really

We chose Home House for a 2 night stay in London in February. We had theatre tickets for the evening but, given the wintry weather, we wanted somewhere to relax during the day. Home House was an excellent choice. The interconnecting drawing rooms on the first floor are a delight, with newspapers, refreshments and the atmosphere of a London club. Other residents are friendly and convivial without being intrusive. Downstairs there is a very comfortable and spacious bar where you can sit by an open fire. The restaurant on the first floor is also first class, with views over Portman Square and various seating options all well spaced out. We had lunch (choosing the 2 course fixed menu with paired wines) and breakfast. The food was beautiful. If you appreciate aesthetics you'll find Home House a wonderful place to stay. The decoration and furnishings are splendid with original marble fireplaces, interesting artwork and fine furniture. It's a unique place, blending 18th century elegance with modern vitality. There were lively events on both evenings we were staying. The service throughout our stay was outstanding. The staff are very welcoming and happy to help. We arrived late morning due to travel logistics and were able to leave our bags at reception and enjoy the drawing room and restaurant whilst waiting for our room. To our surprise we were then upgraded to the Lady Islington Suite which is an absolute gem. Thank you, Home House, for a very special and memorable stay! Logistically, the place is very well connected; a short walk from Marble Arch tube with lots of buses along Baker Street and Oxford Street. It has the benefits of a large traditional square, with gardens, whilst being a stone's throw from the hustle and bustle of the West End. The Wallace Collection is a short walk away, as is Marylebone High Street with all its fine independent shops, cafes and restaurants.

There is nothing that could be improved. We found Home House excellent.

It felt like I was returning for another visit in an absent friend's lovely London historic town home, filled with antiques and capable, courteous, and helpful staff. I love the atmosphere of the place and its location. My room looked directly onto London plane trees across the street in Portman Square, which gave me complete privacy and a cool green view.

I was disappointed that the Drawing Rooms were closed for refurbishment during my stay, as they are one of my favorite aspects of the house, but breakfast in the garden on late summer mornings wasn't a bad substitute.

This was by far the best hotel we stayed at during our stay in the UK. We travelled across England, and this hotel had it all: super spacious rooms, fascinating history, great location, good price, great service. It’s a fun place if you want more than just a generic hotel experience as you can immerse yourself in an old school private members club.

Honestly, nothing. And I’m picky, So rarely say that! We don’t live in London, but if we did, I think this experience would make us want to sign up as members. It ticked all the boxes and very well priced.

Great location, luxury feel, very exclusive. Great reception staff, particularly lovely young lady working at the main desk. Really good response to food intolerances. Dog friendly. Reduced car parking charges if using partnered provision.

Poorly placed electrical sockets preventing access to mirrors when doing hair etc. no charging ports for phone and no sockets near bed to charge either. Some staff unaware that if a hotel guest, you have access to all club amenities, resulting in the evening coming to an abrupt end…disappointing.

Home House is truly a hidden gem in one of London's best areas. Not only was the room itself amazing but the drawing rooms, restaurant, and bison bar were great spots to relax and unwind outside of the room. It was also really easy to walk anywhere in the city from here whether we wanted to stroll in Hyde Park or walk to Buckingham, Westminster, and the river.

For the price I expected slippers and robes to comfortably lounge in the room. There also wasn't a turndown service unless requested. The lift was also broken for part of the stay which meant we had to climb up 5 flights of stairs.

Staff were incredible notably Oksana at front desk and Dennis in garden terrace bar. It honestly was one of the best hotels I have ever stayed in so warm inviting kind staff who seemed happy. Members were fascinating and I definitely want to return

A new pretty young waitress was working in garden terrace bar and was not able to change a mistake on a bill I was almost over charged by £114.00 but luckily the member paid this part of the bill as he joined our table.

We absolutely fell in love with Home House. Our usual London base was unavailable at the very last minute and now we shan't look to stay anywhere else. We felt completely at home, comfortable, welcomed and we met some charming members. The food was delicious, the staff attentive. It really is "home from home". Just booking our next stay and enquiring regarding membership!

Superb location, wonderful welcome and very much made to feel at home. As a members club, these places can sometimes feel a bit stuffy or too cool, this place nails it, just the right amount of polish and top level service without making you feel uncomfortable. The room was in a classical style, large with a desk, sitting area, big bed and two large windows looking over Portman square. The club itself is quite busy with late bar, dj, etc but it is far from the rooms with zero noise travelling. Definitely will come back. Arrival glass of champagne was a nice touch too.

It was a little tricky to find at first without Ann signage but IYKYK type feel, which is fine with me.
