Had a fabulous stay at the Merit Kensington. Room 117 was very clean, cleaned every day. Bed was comfortable. Shower was wonderful. Inside of property number 12 was clean and well presented. Great location, one minute walk to the nearest tube station. Just off the high street so everything you need within a short walk, shops, pubs, restaurants, bakeries etc.

Man at reception, same one on all three occasions I had to go there. He was not a very good example of good customer service. Did the bare minimum each time. No friendly greeting, no please or thank you, communication not great rarely looked at you when talking to you and took a call on a mobile phone in the middle of dealing with me. Point deducted from review for this. First impression given by staff really counts. Room 117 faced out onto the street so certain amount of noise. Also situated beside the lift so could hear the movement of this every time. Small things that didn't bother me too much but important for others to know.

The hotel is really nice and in a wonderful location. Earl’s Court tube station is just around the corner & Kensington High Street is just a 20-25 minute walk away.

The hotel take a £100 deposit which is redeemed on check out day, however it took a few days to come back into my bank which left me short.

The location of this hotel is great! Only a few minutes from Earl's Court Station. It's also near bus stops. I loved the quiet and beautiful neighborhood. In the area, you will find a selection of restaurants, pubs, bakeries, supermarkets, fast food restaurants, and more. Friendly staff. Room was decent size. Bathroom was small but modern, with heated floors.

Towels could be cleaner.

We had stayed there when it was the Oxford. The renovations have been remarkable.

We were on the basement level and at the front. Our window opened up into the area all the staff worked first thing in the morning with respect for cleaning and laundry. It was noisy and we couldn't open our blinds. That said we were up and out early everyday so it was not necessarily a huge problem for us but it would have been nice to open the blinds/curtains

The location was fantastic close proximity to Earl's Court tube station. Plenty of restaurants nearby. Easy access to and from Heathrow airport taking the Piccadily Line. Even the bus stops were in close proximity therefore to commute as a tourist was very convenient. Air-conditioning was good. Flat screen tv, fridge and kettle for making tea & coffee made the stay all the more comfortable.

There was an issue with the safety deposit box which was sorted out the next day. The room was a bit too small for two guests but taking into consideration Central London nothing much can be done. However managed a comfortable stay for a week. The double bed could have been one size larger.

The hotel is in an excellent location, with Earl’s Court station just around the corner. There’s a supermarket nearby, as well as cafés for breakfast. We received an upgrade to the room, so the size was sufficient for two people with two suitcases.

The elevator wasn’t working. We were told it was temporary, but during all five days it neither worked nor was fixed. The real issue was having to carry a 23 kg suitcase up and down the stairs by ourselves. We couldn’t manage to operate the air conditioning. One of the staff members turned it off at our request, and after that, for the remaining five days, we weren’t able to turn it back on by ourselves. We managed with an open window, but it was a bit disappointing.

Very nice place in a great location. Room was clean, sleek and modern with everything we needed. I especially appreciated the comfy bed, heated floors and amazing shower! Location was perfect. Convenient to all the sites via the underground but out of the heavily touristy areas so less congested. Plenty of pubs and ethnic dining choices just steps away. Great choice if you’re looking for a boutique hotel experience with a neighborhood vibe.

We requested a quiet room but ended up next to the elevator. Appreciated that a hair dry was available but it was physically attached to the inside of a desk drawer. So you couldn’t use it in the bathroom nor in front of a mirror - a minor inconvenience but given how well the room was appointed it was really odd. Even the “larger” rooms are still very tight for two people with luggage. But none of this would stop me from going back to this hotel.

We stayed at Merit hotel Kensington in Earl’s Court for 8 nights and had a great experience overall. The staff were friendly and helpful throughout our stay, which made us feel welcome and comfortable. The hotel felt very safe, and the location couldn’t have been more convenient. It’s less than a 4-minute walk to the nearest tube station, which connects to at least three major lines — making it super easy to get around the city, including direct connections to Wimbledon and Richmond. Kensington is within walking distance, and it’s a pleasant 15-minute stroll to the V&A and Natural History Museum. There’s also a supermarkets, bakeries, coffee shops just around the corner, which was really handy. Would definitely recommend this hotel for anyone looking for a well-connected, safe, and friendly place to stay in London.

This hotel is very updated and modern with cool tech in each room (as seen in photos). Rooms are clean and nice. This is the best place that I have stayed in Earl’s court in my trips to London and even extended my stay recently. While I was in the hotel, there were guests that were complaining about the small rooms. Please note this hotel is super old and in an old neighbourhood in London, these rooms were a typical size. I travelled by myself so I was fine with a smaller room but if you were traveling with friends or co-workers to share a room, the space may fee very tight. I would recommend only sharing a room with a spouse or solo (if you are wanting a North American size/person ratio). Co-workers maybe awkward as you may feel like you are ‘squished together with no space’. The tube Earl’s court is within minutes walk and had a lift at the station which was easy for luggage. Great place to stay overall.

The lifts were down in the building, so I had to carry my bags up and down the stairs. When I went to check in the staff volunteered to carry my bags up for me, which was nice. You may want to stay in the main building if you have big luggage- ask upon booking as there is less stairs then the other buildings.
