The location! This hotel is a 5 minute walk from the Tower of London and Tower Bridge. Aldgate and Tower Hill tube stations are minutes away and provide the access needed to get around the capital. The hotel is modern, clean and well presented. It has a 24 hour bar which is reasonably priced. It also offers bar snacks. Breakfast is also on offer here, which looked lovely, but we chose not to have it. The staff are friendly and helpful. Our room was great and had everything we needed for our 3 night stay. It was cleaned each day with fresh towels provided. The price of our was stay was again reasonably priced. We would definitely stay here again and would use this hotel chain for future trips. Highly recommended.

The location was perfect, 3 min walk from Aldgate station which is a.direct transport on the metropolitan line to Euston Square 20 mins. 15 min walk to Tower bridge and St Catherine's dock, loads of places to eat and drink around there. 15/.20 min walk to Spitalfields which is a great active area in the city, loads of markets - crafts/food/ shops. Great location and hotel itself lovely, great breakfast lots of choice. Staff were great didn't have much interaction but there was always someone around the lobby or on reception if I needed anything. Room was great, comfy bed and good view of street life, I would stay here again when visiting London, great area and close to everything. Would recommend, thank you.

No fridge in the room which could've been better but maybe I chose a room without a fridge I can't remember, other than that there wasn't anything I didn't like. Would highly recommend

Superb location: - Less than a 5 minute walk to Aldgate and Tower Hill Tube stations. - 10 minutes to Liverpool Station (Elizabeth Line to Heathrow airport) - 10 minutes to Tower of London and Tower Bridge - Pret a Manger and Starbacks right around the corner

Not many good restaurants or pubs in the area. Rooms are rather small. There is barely enough space for two suitcases. Neither safe nor fridge in the room.

The staff. All were incredibly friendly, helpful, and welcoming throughout. Location is also excellent. Lounge/reception area is large and welcoming. The bed was one of the most comfortable we have slept on in many years of travelling.

The room was a lot smaller than the pictures made it look, and was lacking a bin (other than the bathroom), with insufficient hanging space (no wardrobe), but the biggest letdown was the breakfast. It stated 'Continental, buffet', so I had assumed it was continental and a hot buffet. That could be put down as my mistake (though it should really be clear), and a nice continental breakfast is always appreciated, however the croissants and rolls all appear to be of the 'out of a pack' variety, meaning they felt stale. Save your money and pop across the road, down the alley, turn a right, and go to Senzo.

I liked that i was located at the highest floor, the room is small but pretty and i liked the free wifi as well. The hotel looks nice and it was calm and clean as well. I loved the bathroom and shower, was also very clean.

I paid for City View but in front of my window was a building so i didn't see much of the City. A bin in the room would be great, there was only one in the bathroom. Flushing of the toilet was a bit stuck and didnt work properly. I also had no idea on how to switch on the small lights above the beds. The light switch next to the toilet was sticky and yellow-ish.

Great location for a sightseeing trip to London being only yards from Aldgate Tube station or short walk to the Tower of London, hotel was very modern, clean & tidy. The room I stayed in was a little small but very clean, tidy & modern, very limited wardrobe space so pack lightly, would have been nice to have had proper mugs for your tea & coffee instead of paper cups which is not green option if that's the point as there disposable & can simply reuse proper cups time again & far nicer to drink from in the room, bed was super comfy with a quiet room. Breakfast was excellent but if your hoping for traditional breakfast option i,e bacon, sausage etc then you will be disappointed but perfectly acceptable offering of continental style. Will definitely stay there again & will again soon no doubt.

Cheap paper cups in room weren't nice compared to proper tea / coffee mugs, very limited clothes hanging space especially for 2 people but room was small so I guess limited options to find any space, just minor points though

The location is ideal between Aldgate and Tower Hill tube stations plus Tower Gateway station for the DLR. It is a short walk to Tower Bridge and to lots of eating and drinking establishments of all kinds with the highlight being St Katherine’s Docks. The room itself as a standard queen was small but well laid out, spotlessly clean and modern. It’s perfect for a few night’s stay with a small amount of luggage. The bathroom was also spotless with a real treat of two new feeling fluffy towels for each person which are a normal size, not teeny hotel ones. The beds were comfy with two types of pillow to choose from. The lobby looked like a very inviting space to sit and relax although we did not get time to enjoy this.

The one downside was the room was very hot and the air conditioning would not go lower than 19 degrees. We asked reception to get it fixed and were told that it was standard for rooms to be kept at that temperature. This meant we didn’t get the most comfortable night’s sleep as the windows don’t open to let any air in.

• Very quiet room with everything you need, including an electric kettle and a variety of tea and coffee options. • Large bathroom with all necessary facilities. • Clear implementation of energy-saving practices throughout the hotel. • Stunning lobby, perfect for relaxing, working on a laptop, or enjoying a drink. • Excellent breakfast with a wide range of options. • Excellent location: a bus stop is right in front of the door, and Aldgate subway station is just around the corner.

Honestly, there was nothing significant I didn’t like.

Everything was amazing, I would recommend the hotel for a stay in central London with excellent value for money. And even the breakfast was a great bargain. Will stay in Motel One again (did stay in their Berlin chain and it was great as well)! Loved the design of the lobby, adds a comfortable "at home" a vibe and likeability.

One suggestion - change the title to "Hotel One"! Motel sends a bit "cheap" message, while there is really good quality for a reasonable price. I also was a bit shy of saying that I`m staying in a "motel" so I said "hotel one" to my friends :)

The location is fantastic. 10min walk to tower hill and tower bridge ( the most famous bridge in London ) It was a 3 min walk to Aldgate station and a 7min to tower hill station. The bed was super comfortable and the room was clean.

The shower pressure was a little weak and the room was a little on the small side versus what you get in North America, but then again we spent very little time in the room and used it only for sleeping so it definitely wasn't a deal breaker for us.
